If you're under a size 6 or a small, XS then it's great. If you're not then good luck finding anything. Shoes of average size 8 and larger sized women's items are depleted. I took a bunch of clothes, sized Medium, large XL and 7/8, but only got $7 back and I have stylish items in season and within trends. I figured hey would get more since there wasn't much for larger women to choose from. I honestly get most money at Buffalo Exchange. Anyways I'm saying cater to the curvy women who aren't your targeted size 4 customer and watch your clientele grow. We aren't all one size, Come on. read more

Went in around 4:30 on a Thursday, I had called a few days prior and asked about times and such, they said they buy until 5. I had two big bags of clothes, half of them brand new. The two women were talking to each other when I walked in, didn't really care that I was there. I placed my bags on the counter, made small talk. I had been there before so they just needed my name and number. They said to give them ten minutes. They went right back to chatting. One girl took out a shirt and put it back in the bag. I walked around a little bit and I could hear them talking the whole time. Neither one of them touched the bag. I kept watching, 5 minutes pass. I went towards the front and pretending to be looking at stuff but they still never touched the bag. 12 minutes pass and I'm by the front again. One of the girls left the counter and the one that was still there said "alright we are finished!" I walked up and she said "there wasn't anything great." I wanted, so badly, to say "you didn't even look!" But I just said okay, grabbed my bags and left. I understand stores need certain things/are only accepting certain brands. I fully understand. I do not understand not looking/not even trying, and then LYING by saying you didn't find anything great. I'm really disappointed. I've spent a lot of money there over the years (hundreds), but it is what it is. I don't think I will ever return. read more

I was honestly upset when I walked in to sell my clothes they have huge signs advertising that they buy clothes fast and easy for CASH I walked in, at 4:30, which I know was later in the day and ask politely if they were still accepting item drop offs they looked at me rudely and said we only do store credit, and I asked nicely well do you only do store credit or when do you do cash, and the employee didn't even really care to answer, and said "well we open at 10 so you can come in early and try then"... don't advertise with huge signs saying you pay on cash if the employees don't even know when they pay out with cash. That was my very first time walking in and honestly don't even know if I want to come back. read more

I can bring my gently used fashionable clothing and accessories in any day of the week to sell while I browse through the thousands of cute clothes. Not only do they have women's clothing but carry pre-teen and even Men's clothes. I love the fact that I can sell my clothes here and get store credit to use towards my purchase or even have all or a portion of my credit transferred to the cute shop Kid to Kid and shop there for my niece. UptownCheapskate carries today's trends and the best Designer Handbags in town. The staff is friendly and explains the buying process if you're new to Resale. Wowwww.. this place is tiny to start off. Right when I walked in no one greeted me, as there were two employees right at the front that just proceeded to ignore me. One of the older ladies working started talking negatively to her coworker about someone's items they brought into sell. Saying, "today has been an interesting day with buys.. if you know what I mean," and rolled her eyes. I was checking out, standing there & the employee (Samantha) didn't acknowledge me until later, finally asking "are you ready?" Their prices are overpriced in my opinion, I'd suggest saving your time & money by going to Plato's closet! They also give you way more for your items & are always super friendly. read more

I went in to this one with 3 shirts 2 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of pants in stellar condition with brands like BCBG. They took everything and offered me $17 dollars for all of it!!! Are you kidding!!???? Go to My Sisters Closet where they are fair and always pay well for quality clothing! They have children working for it that have terrible customer service and don't know good brands! read more

Brought in MANY good quality clothes, some that haven't even been worn & they accepted NONE of them. Made me upset but really irritated me as I was going through the clothes that they had, there were stains all over some of the shirts & holes in some of the pants in areas where there shouldn't have been holes. Made me laugh that the grungy dressed staff accepts nasty clothes like that but doesn't accept nice clothes that have never been worn & most definitely ARE in season lol go to Clothes Mentor!! read more

Like the 2 stars says, meh...I've experienced better. I came to sell clothes and while they were looking through everything I checked out the clothes on the racks. The girls working there were really nice. The clothes are actually pretty good if you're in your teens or early 20s. The stuff is actually cute, good quality, and decent prices. However, I was there to sell. I had clothes I'd basically never worn and they were from places like H&M, Anthropologie, and Modcloth (pre-Walmart). They ended up choosing 2 things from a medium bag's worth. The pieces were my pleather biker jacker (a good choice) and a forever 21 sundress....I'm just confused as to what their thought process was. My clothes were pretty dang similar to what they had on the racks. I got $14 for it which was alright, but 2 out of ~25 pieces? Really? I can't seen to find a good resale place in Glendale... TLDR: don't expect too much. Cute clothes and good prices, but don't get your hopes up if you're selling. read more

I have been several times and it was OK, most employees were friendly. I took a bunch of stuff to consign before taking it to Goodwill the other day. First when I asked if they were accepting stuff today, the girl gave me a rude look, looked my daughter and I over and said "yea but we're being super picky". I felt instantly judged and considered not bringing my items in. I brought my stuff in and the Woman who was going to go through it was very nice to my face. While waiting for her to go through the stuff I saw her making dirty looks and nasty comments to the other girl working about our stuff. Half the stuff she just threw off to the side and didn't look at. (My items were name brand like BKE, Victoria Secret, American Eagle, etc., excellent condition and not outdated). I don't care if they didn't want anything, it was her attitude while going through it, thinking I didn't see her, that bothered me and made us uncomfortable. I honestly felt like they already had their minds made up about us by the way we looked (we'd been cleaning all day and look a bit rough, I'll admit) and just didn't bother looking at our stuff. Looking at some items they had on the racks with pilling, fading, tears, and very worn crotches on gym leggings, I am not sure what they're looking for. 2 stars just because I've had better experiences there in the past. Their customer service is terrible and thats how you keep customers and gain customers. Some performance counseling would do well here and new management. After this experience I will absolutely not be returning. read more

Do not sell your clothes to them. Either they're taught to try and rip you off or they don't know brand names. I get it's a second hand store, but most places in the valley will give you way more than they do. Their prices on clothes should be much lower compared to how much they pay for them. read more

Just saw this advertised on channel 10 news today. The owner mentioned all stores including the Peoria location was open and ready to offer cash or store credit on the spot. After collecting all my apparel and making the trip down there, was told by the store associate they were not accepting anything until after the 2nd of January. Maybe the owner should have mentioned that when she was promoting her business on television . This was a huge waster of time! Not good business practice Ms. owner! read more

I cannot believe the lack of customer service and help in this place. Not to mention the lack of character and attitude the owner has. The owner is frequently present when I shop here and she is absolutely awful. The employees must go through the same training she did or they are her family because they never smile, say hello, or ask if I need help! I have 5 children and I depend on bargains, so when I go here I usually have stacks of clothes I'm purchasing. Not once has anyone ever asked if they could help, if I needed a dressing room, or if they could take the things so my hands weren't full. I really hate shopping here but there is no other choice that is as close. When you are a retail store and purchasing from the public, I would think you would be as decent and as kind of a human as possible, for many reasons. Among them being, you want your community to want to bring you their good stuff and you want them to want to come there because stores like these are a dime a dozen and your customers can choose where they want to sell. I could mention lots of other negative things about the staff but it may not be their fault. They probably get their training from the Ice Queen. Unfortunately there's not but one Resale Shop in this immediate area. I assure you if there was, this horrid place would close. I believe the owner knows this too, it shows in her unpleasant demeanor and very cold presence. She takes advantage of hard working members of this community and sleeps well with the fact that she's taking their money and living high. I'm a hard working community Member myself and work in an Executive Level capacity, as does my Husband. I could shop at Macy's and Nordstrom's if I pleased, but I will not pay full price for Teenagers clothing that they are going to outgrow. The ONLY of Two reasons I keep going back. If you can, shop Resale somewhere else and if you happen to find yourself in this place, tell the Ice Queen to smile life isn't that bad. read more

This place has the worse customer service. I've given this place plenty of chances to redeem themselves, but every time I go in, I am not treated with respect. All they do is stand behind the counter and gossip. I tried selling my clothes once, and the two girls did not even go through all of my items, and just told me that they were not going to buy any of my items today. I understand that my items may not be what they were particularly looking for, but it was very rude that they were talking and laughing the whole time while I was standing there waiting for them, and they didn't even go through the entire bag. What's worse is that the girl did not even put all my clothes back into the bag, and just walked off. Sure, you can get cheap clothes here, but you can definitely find better used items and customer service from elsewhere. read more

terrible customer service! i wish i would have paid attention to reviews before coming. i went in today to try and sell a few bags of clothes, shoes, and some handbags. everything is new or worn 1-3 times. The older lady with blonde hair behind the buying counter gave me all my bags full back minus a handful of things because they were "simply too large" when i said i would keep a wallet because i know it's worth more then th $19 i was offered for the things they wanted to keep i got an exaggerated eye roll, she then told me my new amount would be $14 i thought about it and decided that my worn 1 time pair of adidas shoes were also worth more then $14 and i would just take it all back, with another eye roll and letting me know she "doesn't have time for this" she had one of the other workers bring my things around in one of the worst tones i've ever heard, all the whole i've noticed she has a shirt on with the CCV. So disappointed in her service specifically. also while browsing realizing there are barely any clothes that are large or extra large. big thumbs down read more
