Dr. Thomas is an excellent dentist, and my husband and I are both very happy to be his patients. He is incredibly caring, thorough, and genuinely invested in his patients' health. He takes great care of our teeth, gives us thoughtful advice, and is always very accommodating. His entire team is wonderful, too. His receptionist is fantastic--she is so friendly, organized, and always on top of everything. Everyone in the office treats you with a big smile and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I'll admit I'm not someone who particularly enjoys going to the dentist, but I always feel like I'm receiving excellent care with Dr. Thomas and his team, which makes the experience so much easier. Dr. Thomas is a great dentist. He is not trying to rip you off. He spends his time thoroughly cleaning and is very on top of time management. I am in and out quickly every time. Updating to reflect their excellent customer service and highlight the fact that Dr. Thomas is open 2 Saturdays a month with appointments from 7 am to 2:30pm! Kat helped me with moving my husband's Saturday appt to 7am from 1:30pm so I don't have to be managing both kids solo all day. Much appreciated! I came today for my final checkup, cleaning and polishing of the year. My husband will get his last one of the year tomorrow. It's nice to be able to park in this lot and walk right in. The new space is really nice, new, and clean. All the equipment seems new too and the appointment was done so efficiently I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and Dr. Thomas does all the cleaning and polishing himself which is awesome! read more

My previous dentist set the bar pretty high, and so when a move forced me to seek new dental care, I very carefully reviewed the potential options before finally setting on Uptown Dental. The fact that they were super booked out (I started looking last fall/winter) was a good indicator to me that they were popular, and coupled with the many five-star reviews, I had very high expectations. Ahead of the appointment, they sent plenty of onboarding and new patient information that was quick to fill out. Furthermore, they sent out quite a few reminders ahead of the first appointment, which I thought was very thoughtful as well. The day of the appointment, I got there a little earlier than my scheduled start time, and I was pretty much seated in the chair at exactly 9 am when my appointment was scheduled to start. From start to finish, I was pretty happy with my experience. Friendly receptionist (who also answered some of my insurance coverage questions), and I was actually very surprised that the doctor himself did the teeth cleaning (instead of a hygienist). The dental assistant was also super friendly and I overall felt pretty welcome and taken care of. Happy to say that I'll be returning for my next check up, and glad to have found a good replacement for my previous dental provider! *note: contrary to another previous review, there are a few parking spots right in front of the office.* read more

I recently made the switch from Western Dental to Uptown Dental, and wow--what a difference. At Uptown Dental, I was in and out within 35 minutes, and the entire experience was smooth and professional. Dr. Thomas was super friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. The staff was kind, efficient, and on top of things. Compared to Western Dental? Night and day. Over there, I'd wait over an hour just to see a dentist who, no joke, had the worst breath imaginable--which is kind of wild for a dentist. Dr. Thomas is without a doubt, the best dentist I have ever had. The woman who works the desk (I'm so sorry, I can't recall your name) is wonderful too. Both are excellent communicators and make sure that the very best service is provided. I also really value that Dr. Thomas is intentional about creating space at the end of our appointments to answer any questions I might have and does so with great patience and care. My partner was also Dr. Thomas' patient, and says that his bedside manner and approach to care has actually reduced her anxiety around visiting the dentist in general, which I think only reinforces my own experience with this practice. I was a long-time patient of Dr. Thomas and always considered him a competent dentist. Unfortunately, a recent visit exposed an issue with billing and insurance that resulted in unexpected out-of-pocket charges. While I wasn't thrilled, I remained polite and tried to work toward a fair resolution, acknowledging that the miscommunication was shared. Instead of a constructive conversation, Dr. Thomas responded with an unexpectedly hostile phone call, placing all blame on me in an aggressive, accusatory tone followed by a wall-of-text, defensive emails. I paid the full amount he demanded, despite the ambiguity of the situation. What I can't reconcile is the unprofessionalism, the immediate escalation, and the needlessly combative attitude from someone in a position of trust. This could have been resolved with basic professionalism and mutual respect. I'm sad to say going forward I cannot imagine sitting in a chair next to this man holding sharp tools. read more

Came in on short notice for tooth pain. They got me in within only a couple days. Diagnosis was quick and accurate. Everyone is always in a good mood. I don't know how they do that. Once in there for appointment wait time is very short. Dentist is extremely nice and makes sure you know what's going on. He was able to fit me into his schedule fairly quickly, fixed the injured area, applied a temporary crown, and I will go back in two week for the permanent one. His team was very friendly as well. Be quick though! Those appointments get claimed REAL FAST. Disclaimer: I'm really particular when it comes to choosing the people who care for me. I do EXTENSIVE research (TRUST ME). The initial phone interaction with Kateryn was pleasant. I was greeted by Christopher when I arrived. The office is quite small but no complaints. Parking isn't the best, I suggest taking public transportation or you'll end up having to pay to park in the nearby garages. Mr. Thomas was thorough throughout my visit. He explains step by step of what he's going to do and doing. He made sure I was comfortable. My cleaning was better than expected. Other dentistry have been rough. Get in when you can! read more

Wonderful service, the care Dr. Thomas gives is great. I ultimately had to switch for two reasons, but primarily due to billing issues (second is the long wait times for appts). I knew something was wrong when even with double coverage, the charges I would pay were surprisingly high. After the last nonsensical quote, I went to another clinic in Lafayette and they told me no, everything should be covered; saved me nearly $700.
