Then as they pull it and shape it, the candy becomes hard. Finally, the candy makers break off pieces like shattering glass and give you the little pieces to try. Warm hard candy is so tasty! Walking in just feels like a piece of my childhood that I forgot about. The penny candy is the best. I used to love all the different kinds of taffy and this just screams nostalgia.
