Five stars for fun! They really lean into their theme at Uranus! From the staff, to the abundant signage, to the merch, the rectal humor is bottomless... But it all makes for a hilarious pit stop at the Indiana/Ohio border. I mean, who has an animatronic dinosaur park with 20 foot tall displays?!? Inside, the fudge sampling helped my wife and I finalize our purchases. If it wasn't winter, we may have gotten some ice cream, too! OH, and how could I forget! When you make a purchase, you get to leave by walking through a trippy, black lit spinning portal. You WILL fall if you're not careful. This place has it all. Uranus doesn't have to be an every roadtrip visit, but it absolutely needs to be at least a one-time visit

Not as impressed as when I went to the Anderson location but could also be that was the first time. There were not as many employees it seemed and didn't get the usual"welcome to Uranus" greeting when we walked in that i had hyped up to my sisters lol. However I did hear it later throughout our visit. It's always fun to see all the sayings. The dunno park was cool. Stay to watch and listen to them-- they move and roar! Plenty of photo ops. Very cool stickers and things. They have fudge and ice cream and lots of merch. Neat Lil stop on your way to wherever.

We were driving through and saw a sign for this store. We stopped by and they have the most amazing drinks and fudge. They also have so many different gifts. The service was great. There was a lot of cool stuff to check out and the place was very clean.

The owner of this insanely popular tourist attraction came up with the eye catching name of this establishment. Candy, nuts, and other items are readily available at this confectionary. And while all the signage focuses on the humor, the real delight is the candies, confections, and of course, the mini flavors of delicious fudge that are available in their shop. Also to be found our souvenir items and T-shirts galore. If you are a fan of vintage brands of candy, you can be sure to find some of that here as well. it's worth a quick stop to pick up some sweet treats, and more than likely you will leave smiling and in a great mood.

Tourist trap! I was amazed at how many cars were in the lot then noticed the out of state plates on many of them. This is right off I-70 and I can just imagine the humorous billboards bringing folks in. There's a carnival atmosphere in here, loud, bright and crazy. Tons of souvenirs, most with Uranus theme and some really hysterical slogans. There were four of five cashier stations and when one would be ready they yelled out "Up! Uranus!" In addition to fudge and ice cream, they also sell assorted classic candies. I bought some Pop Rocks. I'm not a huge fan of fudge especially when it's 90 degrees out, but will probably try some later in the year. The vortex is trippy and not to be missed. At the exit there's a locked outhouse tempting you to pay $1 to open the door. I didn't bite but I went up close and there's a voice yelling from inside! Bathroom humor abounds, so if you're prudish that way, wait in the car. Kids will go crazy for this place and you'll be laughing heartily throughout the visit. I was! For a little while I felt like I was 12 years old again. As a local I would actually love to work here. My recommendation is that you pick Uranus!

    Part of the humor

The fudge is good, but expensive. The Uranus jokes get old real quick. The music, the t-shirts and other unique themed items to buy can get tiresome and you feel sorry for the poor employees having to utter those ridiculous lines when a customer enters the establishment or orders fudge at the counter. What dinosaurs behind the place have to do with it is bizarre. But I guess the big white cross next to the business makes up for all the vulgarity? To each his own. Worth a visit for the treats. Whether I go back there again... probably not unless you visit Richmond, Indiana proper to even out the fudge factory visit. But you know what you're getting into thanks to the billboards along the highway. You can always order their fudge online if you don't mind the cost and the wait.

The epitome of a tourist trap. We were driving through the area late at night when we first seen the billboards for Uranus. I really wasn't paying attention to the billboards but I thought I seen something about packing fudge in Uranus. I had to ask my wife if she seen the sign I seen just to make sure I seen it correctly. She did confirm I really did see the sign correctly. We pass this place all of the time on our trips going to Ohio. So this place just opened within the last year or so. Taking this route for years, I surely would have noticed those signs. We were finally able to stop and probe Uranus Fudge Factory. It's exactly what I said at the beginning. This is absolutely the epitome of a tourist trap. You walk in and you smell the fudge right away. Now I really don't care too eat fudge myself, but it did smell amazing. The fudge counter lines the whole wall on the left when you walk in, and then winds around to the ice cream counter. Keep going around the back side and you come to the shooting gallery. In the center of the place is just every type of tee shirt, candy, bumper stickers, cheap travel toys, refrigerator magnets, etc. you could ever want. I put 50 pictures on to just show you a small variety of the items they have. Just a couple of other things. They have a real nice clean dog park area, and a neat dinosaur park with three animatronic dinosaurs. This is a fun place to stop and have a good laugh. It's all in good fun. If you're a prude and don't like the toilet humor, keep driving. This place is not for you. If you want a break from driving your next trip, pull Uranus over and check it out.

Solid stop! All the puns you can imagine. They're definitely missing out on a solid opportunity to provide coffee for the tourists though. All the workers were friendly and kept a straight face with their puns.

Fun experience and delicious fudge! I appreciate the humor and jokes of the employees that love to pack fudge in Uranus.

There is a lot going on up in here! I passed this Giant Cross and a bunch of Dinosaurs on my way to Indy and made a decision I was gonna stop in and check it out on my way back through to Columbus. Located somewhere in Indiana (Richmond), I got off the exit and ended up in Uranus! This place has it all! Homemade fudge, gifts, clothes, candles, jarred goods, and more. There is even an airplane hanging from the ceiling, and a Zoltar fortune telling machine at the door. I sampled a few fudges before picking out three, plus grabbed some candied jalapeños and peppered pickle sticks. Not cheap but so worth it. The staff is super friendly and they are full of fudge packing and Uranus jokes. It was such a Fun stop! Absolutely recommend. Helpful TIP here since Yelp is doing away with them: Make sure to take the fun tunnel Exit out (behind the registers). Such a fun roadside attraction. I didn't try and fudge but got some ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and the portions were huge. Love all the funny sayings and how you are greeted with Uranus sayings and greetings. The bathrooms were clean with pretty cool artwork. As you leave there is a vortex that was definitely trippy. I think I would come back anytime I'm passing through the area.

This place gets 5 starts simply for huge animatronic dinosaurs and a giant "uranus" photo up as you drive in (see my pics!) It's not the "whole town" atmosphere of the larger flagship store in Missouri, but it's still a fun #roadtrip stop off I70 just at the Indiana/Ohio border. Some good photo pops, ton of kitchy souvenirs (signs, stickers, keyschains, tshirts, etc) , and, oh yeah, the eponymous fudge, candy and ice cream. #yum #ReviewsByRL

Unfortunately you can't tell if the bread was baked yesterday or three days ago. There's a secret color code on the label and I asked the girl at the checkout what days each color meant and she said she didn't know. That's a problem when you're dealing with no-preservative items. Lots of jarred pickle and preserve products to tempt your taste buds and all from small regional producers. In summer there's a fair amount of farm produce but nowhere near what you'd find at a farmers market. They have lovely seasonal potted flowers and of course the sturdy, handmade, bank-breaking Amish outdoor furniture. They sell a lot of things like frozen vegetables, baking mixes, spices, candy (huge amounts of candy), chocolate melts, in small bags with their own label. Unfortunately this stuff seems to be bought from big wholesalers. I have seen giant Sysco and GFS trucks in the lot. They use a weird dating system on these bagged goods- just a number where 15 would be January 15 and 360 would be December 26; get it? But you have no way of knowing if that means this year. Or last year, ick. So it's a mixed bag here. Not everything is going to be local or GMO-free. Look carefully before you buy.
