    Della casa salad

We had to drop off some art pieces at the Richmond Art Museum and when we were done it was time for supper. We stopped here because of the Yelp reviews. For us, it was good but there were some not so good things about it. We were provided warm signature bread with a wonderful oil & seasoning dipping sauce. A great way to start! I had the special Mussles diavolo and the della casa salad. The salad was a great mix of greens, blue cheese, bacon, tomato's, pepperoncini tossed in a mild dressing. Unfortunately the greens had been in the dressing too long and the greens were wilted. The mussels were blue lip New Zealand mussels in a flavorful tomato sauce. A wonderful combination, (and I'm typically not a fan of mussels & tomatoes.) But a seafood fork and a discharge bowl for the shells was not provided. My SO had the shrimp putanesca and Caesar salad. The shrimp wasn't grilled but appeared boiled and lacked seasoning. She said the dish lacked the typical punch that a putanesca would have. I'd like to come back & try other things on the menu. There was a lot to pick from.

The bread and oil appetizer was very good. We had the baked gouda sausage carbonara which was very VERY good. Also we had the baked Margherita chicken with a balsamic deizzle and it was delightful. The service was very helping and professional. The atmosphere was date-like and quiet as well.

This place surprised me. It's not in a heavily populated area. I didn't expect a restaurant of this quality. The restaurant itself is classy and well decorated. Way more ornate than expected. I had 2 appetizers- breaded mushrooms and the meatballs- amazing. The sauce is homemade. I had the lasagna and it was outstanding. More than I could eat. In fact it was so good that I neglected to take any photos of the food until after it was gone. Tina gave us outstanding and attentive service. We never had to ask for anything. I am happy to wholeheartedly recommend this place as quality Italian food at great prices.

The inside of this restaurant was nice and open and relaxing. We had good service. Those are 2 important things for me. Good service should be a given and here it delivered!! We started with the complimentary bread and oil with seasoning. It was so yummy. One person we were with stated that it was so yummy that it was the best part of her meal. I loved it. Advice.. the oil and seasoning is available for purchase. So bring your own container and take it home. Next we had the appetizer, Spinach and Artichoke Formaggio. That was my favorite. I could have had this for my meal. It was sooo cheesy and delicious. Both our meals were good but couldn't really taste the lobster in the Lobster Ravioli. It was good but really could have stopped at the appetizer. The Gnocchi had a good sauce to it. It wasn't mixed in with the gnocchi but after that was done. Yummy. Overall I would definitely go back and try again.

Pro: big parking lot, friendly staff, clean interior Con: hit or miss food. Arrive here to our crappy best western hotel and was looking online for a restaurant that was nearby. Came across this Italian establishment so we decide to come by. The parking lot is big so no issue finding a space. The interior is clean and pleasing to the eyes. For appetizer, we had the calamari, lobster bisque soup, and vanilla cream melon soda. The calamari alone was bland but dip it the sauce and it good. The soup was terrible tasting for me. The vanilla cream soda was ok but not my favorite. For my entree, I had the veal Parmesan. The taste was ok but had too much sauce. All in all, it was ok experience but probably won't be back in the future.

My food from here with the crazy fork I got which was in sealed plastic. It amused me a bit.

I was only here to get my chicken parm picked up as part of a take out order during a cross country road trip but they were nice enough to give me a glass of water in a to go cup and the ambiance inside felt nice if you wanted to take a date here. I got this crazy fork in my order so I couldn't eat my food right away but it was definitely yummy as I was riding in a car to get to Oklahoma City and the food was warm when I got it. I don't remotely live here but they had a good menu and it felt like the dine in experience would be good.

Fabulous bread with tasty dipping sauce.

I can't believe Martha H says the food is expensive, They have great prices that are not much more than Olive Garden. But the food is so much better. I don't know how Richmond scored such a 5-star restaurant. They would hold their own in a large city like Columbus, Ohio and have a much larger customer base. The bread and dipping sauce makes you want to forgo any pasta dish because you want to eat it all day long. We split a Della Casa Salad and it was very fresh. Can't go wrong with Gorgonzola and bacon! My entree was the lobster ravioli. Pillows of flavor with a tasty sherry red sauce.

Food is good but the service is awful. It took 45 mins for my drink to come. The lighting is good and creative.

A true diamond in the rough...this wine bar and eatery is located in one of the ancient former…read moreindustrial buildings of the Depot District. But don't hesitate to get in here, just watch your step a bit. It's dim and romantic with a retro vibe. We ate at the bar which always tends to give a good feel for a new place. There were two barmaids who came and went as they had to serve tables too, but service was quite attentive. We were primarily served by Melissa (I hope I remembered her name right!) and she was so helpful with answering questions. We happened to come on the half price app day** so naturally we tried the Breaking Bread... incredible, easily sufficient for four people to share. It was warm, soft, cheesy and full of flavor. The marinara was delicious as was the blended cheese dip. We took half home and enjoyed it the next day. My husband had the smoked salmon sandwich. It was beautiful to behold, smelled so delectable, and off the charts delicious. After I took a bite I was jealous. I did thoroughly enjoy my BLT+E with a wonderful runny egg and thick fresh tomato. I think I would have liked it better on toasted bread vs. the bun. Everything on the menu sounded good. I had a peek at the brunch menu too. I had a cocktail called the Farm Market which was so refreshing and like a taste of summer which I needed badly on this bitter cold evening. They have a great cocktail list and of course an extensive wine list which is set up in unique categories and fun to read. My husband was happy with his wine. They also have port! Four kinds! Melissa kindly gave me a taste of one and I am SO coming back for a port flight. A word on accessibility- the main entrance has two steps up and there are sturdy grab bars on both sides but you do need to be a bit cautious at the bottom. I was told there is a rear or side entry that is wheelchair accessible. It was way too cold to explore but I'll check it out on our next visit in the very near future. If you're thinking of giving the Cork a try, don't hesitate. It's fabulous. **Yelp advises they are removing Tips (boo) so I'll note again here that apps are half price all night on Thursdays.

In the past they struggled with service and food…read moreconsistency, but the last ten times I've been over the last two years, the consistency problems have vanished. Best cocktails in town. Not that there is any real competition. Best wine in town, also, no competition. The menu is enticing, offering real New American recipes. The execution and ingredients aren't all super fresh or fancy, but the fundamentals are there. I'm not a fan of their taco tuesday... just not great tacos. Almost all the apps are great though. The Burgers are fairly good. If i was judging the food quality alone, it'd be like 3 stars. But the menu offerings, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service are all boosting the overall experience. The atmosphere is lovely in a historic general store with antique shelves and woodwork. Often live piano music on the weekends.
