I got my truck washed there today and I have to say it wasn't a very pleasant experience all around. Yes it was pretty busy and I understand that, however the staff was not friendly at all and just seemed rushed and did not want to speak to me. Once my truck came out, they rushed to dry it. there were spots and water dripping EVERYWHERE. My tires and rims were still very dirty and all you can see were streaks around the rims where they quickly ran their towels across them. Being a busy mom my suv was naturally sloppy. For $39.95 and 15 minutes of my car was clean both inside and out which is well worth it. My favorite part of getting my car washed is getting the interior vacuumed cleaned as well as the outside. I guess I grew up "spoiled" in that I did not know that all car washes do not offer this after I moved from my hometown. Call me lazy, but I would rather pay the extra $5 to have someone do it professionally rather than myself - well worth the money. Urban Auto Spa offers all that and more. Ive had a membership for a very short time and I already want to cancel it. Every time I give it a try thinking it will be better I leave disappointed. My windows are always smudged I'm assuming from using dirty towels, I always have to re-dry, re-clean windows and I've even had to remove dead bugs that weren't cleaned off in the wash and they don't thoroughly vacuumed either. Zero stars should be an option. By far, one of the most horrifying experiences I have ever had unfolded at this 'Urban Auto Spa'. I had to get a transmission flush because I didnt know it was required (ever) and had hit over 100,000 miles recently. The evening after I learned about transmission fluid, I was expected to drive for three hours straight. Since I was working until 4:30 PM, I called at noon to ensure Jiffy Lube did transmission flushes and that an appointment wasnt necessary. After calling multiple shops, I told them that I had a Nissan Sentra 2008 along with the mileage used. They assured me it was fine and to come in whenever I was able to do so. I got there at 4:45PM and was greeted by someone who told me "the one person who does that job was off for the day". I asked how one person knows to do this only and why I was told otherwise specifically on the phone. He asked to me come inside, where I waited for 10 minutes. He came back to say that they would be able to do it. I asked him if he was sure someone there was capable and he told me it would be fine. He took down my details in their computer system and asked if I wanted the $75service or the $150 one. When I asked what the difference is, he told me the price and that if I pay 150, the transmission would be even cleaner. I went for the 150 as I was told my transmission was filthy. About 20 minutes later, they came to the waiting room to tell me that they did not have the proper fluid required. I told them I called specifically to ensure that they could handle what my car needed because I was on a strict schedule. He kept telling me that I could come back at noon and they could get the synthetic fluid my vehicle required first thing in the manner. After talking in circles, I spoke to the manager of this location, Alex DeDios, who was by far the most crass, unprofessional and disrespectful manager I have ever come across. When I explained how I called because my evening was time sensitive, he told me they were doing me a favor by letting me know that they do not have the fluid and letting me go "find another business". I mentioned how someone told me earlier that this would not be problematic and he said 'I dont know who would say that, we just opened recently and dont have everything" I again asked how and why they are offering a service they do not have the necessary tools on hand to fulfil. He told me I was being nasty and to stop talking down to him. He said I do not have a right to be so angry with him and never once apologized for not having the fluid or for the inconvenience caused. I ended up leaving at 5:15 PM in a complete frazzled haste because I was due to be somewhere within 3 hours, that required my car as the transporter. I called an endless amount of shops which all told me they either just closed, were about to close or required an appointment. Finally, I called the closest Jiffy Lube, in Belleville, and the gentlemen there COMPLETELY changed my view on this company. They advised that I would need the 75 dollar option because of the amount of miles on my car and said that doing the premium service could be harmful for my transmission. In hindsight, it is a good thing the Ramsey location didnt touch my car. I have told EVERYONE I know to steer clear of this shop for their ignorance and appalling attitudes. read more

I will no longer recommend this car wash to anyone. I've been going to this car wash for a few years now and unfortunately the car wash side of the business has lost its shine. The oil change portion will be the only business the will get from me from now on. They are only focused on volume, not detail. Get the $12.00 wash if you want to rinse of the salt. VIP is a waste I requested the vip and they only rinse your rubber mats with a psi washer, no soap - still dirty residue after it has dried. The inside of the windshield was only partially cleaned, guess they couldn't reach the whole windshield. The wheels didn't get enough cleaning agent on them so they were still dirty and the back of the car didn't get soap on it so a lot of the dirt was still there. They also wipe the bottom of your door frames from the excess water and what ever dirt might be left behind, then bring the towel to the side of your car to catch and drips = micro scratches! Not very noticeable with a light colored car but mine is black. Vacuuming is an issue at almost any location you go to because the car is moving as they vacuum. They only have a certain amount of time, not well lit for them so only expect the larger items to be seen. My daughter just returned from there today and she still has foot prints from her friend in the windshield. Come on guys! Really? Correction ideas- 1. Slow down the belt that directs your car into the wash- this will provide more time for the guys trying to vacuum and do all the other pre wash work. 2. Have 2 guys focus on the pre wash ( wheels, tires, front and back of car) and 2 guys focus on the vacuum. 3. Better quality control, appoint a supervisor to verify the cars are properly cleaned before the owner takes possession of the car. 4. Provide better lighting for the guys inside for them to clean interiors better. Hope this helps those that want to improve their business. read more

UGH! Every Time! If you parked under a tree, birds got you and you need a car wash - sure - but do NOT pay $39 for their platinum package. The outcome will be exactly like their base package at $19. The outside of the car will look clean (nothing to brag about) but they STINK at cleaning the inside - even if you pay extra for floor mat cleaning which is included in the platinum price (see pic). They do NOT do a good job vacuuming or whipping things down. I've been here a few times as its just conventionally located. Every single time I'm upset that they did such a bad job. No matter what package you pick you feel like the outcome is always the same minus maybe an air freshener smell. For $39 they claim to give you all the bells and whistles but again that only goes for the outside of the car as inside will look like crap. Oh and take note that they do not whip off the access water on the outside of your car - like by the trunk or mirrors - so once you start driving you will have water splashes/stains all over your just cleaned car. Against my better judgment I had my car washed here because it was conveniently on my way home. Went for the platinum wash for $25. Was a total rip off. My car was literally finished in 10 minutes, inside and out. Driving home, I started inspecting my car and found my windows were wiped with greasy, dirty rags, spots all over the car, dirt still on the car where the brushes missed. I called the place and got a voice mail box so I left a message that I want a refund for this crappy car wash. Will never use them again. Highly recommend driving right past this place. I came here after a family vacation to the beach, and paid for the Silver wash which cost me about $20. I have to say I am not impressed. They were supposed to vacuum the inside of the car but it seems they only did the absolute minimum possible. All the crevices, and even obvious spots remained covered in sand and dirt. The sides of the doors in both the driver and passenger seats remained dirty with marks from various things that could easily have been wiped off and I had to ask them to do afterwards. The wheels are still very dirty, and there are streaks and marks on the car that should have easily been washed inside the "assembly line" if not at least wiped afterwards. Urban Auto spa sucks, I paid $40 for a car wash, no armorall on the tires and they didn't dry the car properly... They also use what appears to be a milk soaked rag to clean the inside windows... Being a little sarcastic there, but they used the same exact rags they clean your door jams with to clean the inside windows of the car leaving streaks everywhere. Doesn't appear that there's any type of management on staff here that oversees quality assurance, they just turn cars through left and right and get a premium for it all the while doing a bad job. Come to this place if you feel like going home and washing your car immediately afterwards. I opened up the trunk and got a towel out and proceeded to start cleaning and drying my car off because they didn't do it properly to begin with... 40 bucks and the car was in and out in like 2 minutes and still dirty. You would think that would be the queue for somebody to come over and address the fact that the customer was cleaning his own car in front of the car wash after getting a car wash. read more

On the expensive side. I guess they figure because of the surrounding affluent towns gives them the right to charge about 20% higher than comp prices. Service is slow and quality is average to below average depending on the day, the weather and the lines. I go here completely out of convenience and when I'm in a pinch of needing a wash. I'll just start with I very rarely write bad reviews and I've been coming this place weekly since I moved to Bergen county a few months ago. The wash has always been "good" not great but it's not a hand wash anyway so I don't really expect much. Definitely over priced for what your getting. The other day my windshield wiper was torn off my BMW and had to ask them to stop the machine because it was tearing it off and scratching my windshield. After holding up the line and going through the whole machine to find it they said well try and fix it. Asked to speak to a manager (Jason) who was very unaccommodating and came to see my car and said "it's fine" but then I realized the cap was missing. He then turned off the whole machine again holding up the line found the piece slapped it on and walked away from me. I paid 19.95 for a full service car wash. 16.95 for the wash and gave them a $3.00 tip to only get into my car and see what a crappy job they did. Carpets weren't vacuumed, dash wasn't wiped properly. The back seat was a mess but one of the guys cleaned it when I pointed it out. I have been going here for years, I purchase gift cards for my family here. Today my son took my vehicle for a complete interior and exterior wash. Upon return the interior looks like a light sponge went over it. Definitely not worth the $30.00 When I called and asked for the manager the young girl voice offered no service recovery. I am never one to write bad reviews or reviews in general BUT I had to write one. I got the silver package and when I drove away I started to notice how dirty the inside of my car was. The passenger seat rug still had dirt and hair on it which vacuum should pick up. The inside of my car still had dust and dirt everywhere. I had to pull over and clean my car inside. You shouldn't have to clean your car at least not to the extent that I had to when you're paying for a silver package at a car wash. I proceeded to call them and the cashier answered. I ask again what the silver package included and let her know that my car was dirty and that I had to clean everything inside, giving her specific details, she said sorry it and silence. I was waiting for her to say something, perhaps let me get the manager or why don't you come back and will do another interior cleaning but no she was just quiet. What happened to this place? I used to get a great wash/vacuum for $16, but times have definitely changed. I got a wash/vacuum yesterday and the price shot up to $25.50! I asked the cashier if there was some sort of mistake; however, she confirmed it was correct. $18 for a basic car wash + $7.50 for a vacuum. I said I thought the $18 included a vacuum, but she said no (I just checked their website and the $18 package DOES include a vacuum). I changed from my usual car wash as they hadn't been doing a good job on the vacuuming. We have 2 dogs that shed a lot and so my car always needs extra attention when vacuuming. I bought the super vacuum along with a platinum wash and am more than impressed with how it came out. The only reason I took off one star is that it is on the pricey end of car washes. Had an oil change and a car wash done at Urban Auto Spa Ramsey on my wife's car. About a month or so after that the engine critical warning light came on and I looked up what it could be. Of the list of things it could be was something I could check, low engine oil. Pulled the dips tip out and there was zero oil showing on the dip stick. Wiped off the dip stick and tried again, still nothing. Two quarts of oil later it showed about half way up to the full indicator. This car DOESN'T burn oil and DOESN'T leak oil. I have saved my first review for the fine gentlemen that work at this establishment. I brought my car in for a simple oil change, but experience a problem while waiting for the car. Something accidentally broke while working to service the vehicle - GET THIS - they close at 6:00pm which is right when they brought me back to explain what was going on - the guys found the part over 30 minutes away, so they dropped me off at home, drove to get the part, and worked late to fix my car. When I came with my wife to pick it up, they informed me that EVERYTHING was free, the oil change, filter, new part, labor - everything. I was in shock at the kindness, and how they were unwilling to leave me hanging or stranded. Who wants to stay or work late - ever? They have gained a customer for life!! Thanks again! Worst car wash is Bergen county. Don't bother buying a membership here. I brought my loaner car here (obviously not by choice) to get cleaned while my cars in the shop.. and they refused me the monthly service. Claiming it needs to be the same car I had brought previously. Even with photo ID and paperwork to prove my car was in the shop beyond my control. I will say this. This place knows how to make money. If your car is already clean you can bring it here and they will do a great job. Being in the Auto Detailing industry for years I make it a point to visit competitors at least once a year with my wife's car. I like to compare my price/service to theirs and understand how my customers think. For $60 you get a basic exterior wash, a "super vacuum", wipe down, leather cleaning and treatment, all weather mat scrubbing. Well, the wash was less than basic, the super vacuum must have had the day off, the leather was not cleaned and only lathered with a $25 per gallon industrial leather conditioner. The windows are still dirty, the carpets still have dust, crumbs and dog hair in it, the door and trunk jams still have leaves in it. Final thought: When customers tell me "I can get the same wash for $30-60 at Auto Spa" I'll tell them to go right ahead. SMH... people just don't understand quality anymore. read more

There is a obvious control breakdown bc after I pointed it out again the guy just says "oh, ok. I'll do it no". However he should have figured out how come it was missed in the first place. Very nice facility. Friendly staff. WAYYYY over priced. A basic oil change is $38. I was shocked to hear they do not offer a complimentary car wash!!! A basic car wash was $11. Also I was charged $6 extra for another qaurt of oil since my car takes six and not there basic five. That's $3 more then store purchase. Total bill was $59. For just the basic works, that's a lot. I'm going across the street for now on at express auto spa. The oil change is cheaper and the basic car wash comes complimentary. Also basic is only $8 versus $11. This place is priced and the area. One of the richest areas in the country, you can get away with over priced and poorer quality. I had an oil change performed last week and I also paid for a car wash. There was a lot of "stuff" in back seat of my car and I asked the staff if they would move my items to the trunk in order to properly clean my car. After getting home, I went into the trunk and discovered that an item left in my car was not in the trunk. I can't say that it was stolen....it may have been thrown out inadvertently. In any event, the item was $80 and the response from management was "that's not our problem". I spent $200 for oil change, car wash, tires rotated, new wiper blades, fluids, etc..... and the management of this establishment wasn't willing to offer me anything.
