Hands down the best car wash and detail spot in Bergen county! I have been a long time customer since being recommended to try here with owning a larger vehicle. They do a phenomenal hand wash with spray wax and clean the interior of your car and all of the floor mats for a very reasonable price based off the size of your vehicle. The staff here are extremely friendly and careful with each car. I have never had an issue with a wash here as my car comes out looking brand new every time. They detail my one suv every year and I swear it makes the vehicle look better than new and it's helped to preserve my car's paint as well. I tried out this place for the first time today, as I usually hand wash all of my vehicles and I am extremely picky. Upon pulling in, I noticed we were the eighth car in line, but things moved quickly. I was extremely impressed with the method in which this car wash functioned. Very smooth, very efficient, and extremely professional. On this particular day, I brought in my wife's Jeep Wrangler Willys that we recently purchased, and was charged a very fair price of somewhere around $44 for exterior and interior. I noticed a few Ferrari's in line behind me which definitely eased my mind a bit as to whether or not they were going to do a good job. Needless to say, the Jeep came out beautiful and I will definitely be coming back to APC. In particular, I enjoyed the canister style gloss spray used over the wheels at the very end. All mats taken out of the car & scrubbed, hello, the other guys up charge an additional $10 for this bringing the total up to APC's price. The main reason this place deserves 5 stars is the level of detail ESPECIALLY THE RIMS, they not only get the deep Inner dish area and the spokes but after it's being dried they put the gloves on and go all the way back in. For the interior cleaning it's exceptional as well they use the air compressor blower and a vacuum to get any stubborn dust particles. Now they say Rome wasn't built in a day and this is very true , takes a while from when you first Get in line , but when you see how your car comes out you'll be glad you waited. LONG REVIEW ALERT FOR REAL ONES THAT CARE ABOUT THEIR CARS AND DONT CARE FOR OVER DRAMATIC BULLSHIT YELP REVIEWS BUT ONLY FACTS I normally don't do Yelp reviews but I'm putting this out there for anyone that's meticulous as I am in terms of washing and detailing your personal vehicle. I brought a 2019 Subaru XV to them earlier this month on a sunny Sunday morning. The car was washed once by New Providence Hand Car wash (amazing place, always top notch in the years I've been going, but just been seeing DRAMATIC price increases which made me steer elsewhere) and had been maintaining it since by myself since. I brought this car to APC on recommendation by my sister who brought her 19' Toyota 4 runner. She claims it was immaculate and comparable to New Providence so I decided to take the 50 minute drive up. I paid about $40(?) for the wash with spray wax. Cool thing about the facility is that you get to watch the process unfold via windows. On the surface I couldn't see much abuse being done to the vehicle, the interior was vacuumed and wiped down quick, mats done, and the whole nine. It then entered stage 2 where the exterior was washed inside their garage. No issues so far from what the eye could see. Garage wash happened fairly quick and there's a few key things I noticed that felt abit odd, but I didn't challenge nor MAKE A SCENE cause that's not my style. #1. - For anyone that owns a foam cannon using a pressure washer you know that the foam comes out in huge quantity and suds the entire car. This is meant to break down the dirt aggressively before the hand wash. The foam or "bubbles" emitted by their power wash cannon was extremely weak - for me this was a potential sign that the solution was diluted heavily to save resources maybe, but eh. It was $40 so I understand. I assumed what makes up for this is their attention to running the mits and getting all the dirt off the exterior. Let's proceed. #2. - They used a broom for the roof of the car. The same was done for a Porsche Cayenne in front of me. I understand SUVs can be tough - but isn't this a hand car wash? This is subjective though given that I wasn't able to see the nature of the bristles nor have I examined the roof for swirl marks. But if the bristles weren't a rubberized or soft material then I'm not too sure what the rationale or explanation is here... #3 - Upon hand drying of the vehicle and finishing touches and "spray wax" I noticed a huge black smudge on the driver side door. I thought it was a SCUFF given that the wash AND the hand spray wax application didn't remove. Again, didn't make a scene cause that's not my style. Upon further examination when I returned home - I hit it with some Chemical Guys V7 and some elbow grease and it was GONE. What a joke. Very upset about that detail being missed. I wish I took pictures of before and after. Upon entering the car it didn't have that clean feeling. The cup holders were still sticky and crumbs were in there and other places. The windows had smudges on the edges indicating that they were ONLY cleaned about 90% of the way, missing the detail of going straight to the edge. Lame. See some pictures below with all the crumbs left over. I wish I took pictures of the cup holder and dust everywhere as well as the windows. But I was so angry that I just got in the zone of cleaning it myself and getting it right! Chemical Guys all purpose cleaner for the win! Now I'm not here to bash but it just surprises me this has 5 stars across the board. Maybe it's because my choice of wearing a bape shoulder bag vs a Louis Vuitton one was an issue and I wasn't to be taken seriously? For $40 I don't think paying the "APC" wash for $65 as advertised on their website would make much difference. Case and point, I'm not angry. I just want to shed light on this place for those who actually meticulously look at their cars post wash and have a general understanding of detailing because you PUT THE EFFORT IN yourself. This was my second and only choice vs New Providence car wash but they have their flaws too, and for $40 vs $100 I can't be too upset. Lesson learned - the level of detail and careful attention you want for your car will only be accomplished by yourself. I'll be detailing my cars from now on. Just sucks I couldn't take more pictures of the issues as I was more invested in GETTING IT RIGHT versus complaining and causing a huge deal. Thanks for reading! I decided to give APC a chance. It took a few weeks to book my appointment. They were great! I couldn't have been more pleased or surprised. When I arrived at APC there was a line however it was moving quickly and I noticed immediately how quickly the staff was working. While waiting in line one of the staff members even took the time to say hello while I was on line in my car. A small gesture that made me feel like this was a well run business. I was skeptical of getting the interior of my car washed during an ongoing pandemic however the staff members were all wearing masks. They gave a great waiting area with windows where you can watch your car get washed. They were extremely thorough and worked efficiently. I've been to many car washes but this certainly impressed me. When drying my car they even opened my trunk to dry the cracks in between that would've dripped with water. This is in the town I live so I figured I visit and support local business. The staff was very friendly and you must know that they hand wish your car so it will take time, you can also leave and come back to pick up. If you decide to wait, it can take up to an hour depending on how busy they are. There is a nice lounge that you can drink coffee or water. Very clean and the guys washing your call especially in the freezing cold are amazing. It is not your typical drive the car through a machine that does the washing and waxing. The car is vacuumed, floor mats are hand washed, the car is hand washed and if you want your car waxed, well it is hand waxed as well.
