Chicken and waffles! Snuck a shot of the table next to us...
    Tanya W.

This place deserves 10 stars. Service, food and ambiance were all just phenomenal. Parking was easy and the location is perfect. I had the char-grilled chicken sandwich with Swiss, avocado and bacon.. I've never had one this good ANYWHERE. I added the truffle fries which were out of this world delicious and garlicky. Since we were at brunch, my friend got the Avocado toast with a sunny egg and it was beautiful, fresh and had a lightly dressed citrusy vinaigrette arugula on top. Wow! So good. We loved everything about this place and appreciated the light jazzy music playing inside and the exceptionally accommodating service. We will be back for more!

First time I visit Urban for brunch and I have to say I was impressed. I never expected to find such a good Crab Cake Benedict north of Austin. Their cocktail options had changed from the last time I was there and they no longer had the Cougar, so I went with the Water Lily instead. Service was excellent, even when they started getting busy closer to noon.

Came here for brunch today and was not disappointed. Their biscuits are huge, fresh, and yummy! I got the urban omelette, it has pieces of meet and they were tender and very flavorful. We were lucky to have an amazing service this time and things came out on time. The place was clean and very welcoming. It's better to make a reservation. We came during lunch rush on a Sunday and had to wait 40 minutes but other times the wait it's even longer. Overall, it was a great experience. It's not my first time here, I do come back because I like the food. I would recommend people to go and have their own experience, mine has been great so far!

I've never been here and shame on me for waiting as long as I have!! When we walked in, we were sat right away! Our server greeted us promptly and got drinks and appetizers, just as fast!! The fried lobster tails were next level and the dipping salsa came with made it phenomenal!! We got my son the mac & cheese, which by far is one of the best mac & cheese I've ever had !! I made my own rendition of surf and turf, mushroom risotto, and let me tell you right now. I did not disappoint. !! Everything I wanted to be! My wife absolutely loved the chicken, avocado sandwich and the sweet potato fries had cracked sea salt on them which definitely complimented everything! I will most certainly come back because the ambience with something of just a chill afternoon vibe, but I definitely wanna check out the rooftop. I heard it's just as bad ass!!! Thanks for a wonderful lunch

Avocado toast with lox and a crème brûlée grapefruit
    Julie N.

Went in for Sunday Brunch. The patio was great and well lit (it's enclosed for winter). There was a musician setting a very chill Sunday vibe. The food was a beauty. I had the avocado toast with crème brûlée grapefruit with the added lox. The avocado toast was amazing but the salmon that they serve comes in a can and it's brown and it's clumped together...very un appetizing. do yourself a favor and pass on the lox(it's extra anyways) but the avocado toast is a win as well as the mimosas!

This restaurant with strange punctuation in its title was a solid brunch spot. It was really bizarre when we walked in though. We waited at least five minutes at the host desk while multiple employees walked past us without saying a word. This was 11am on a Saturday, and the restaurant was probably at 20% of its capacity. We understood that the employees were busy, but none of the employees who walked past us (and who made eye contact) gave any form of acknowledgement such as telling us that someone would be with us in a few minutes, which is usually a common courtesy. The food was pretty good though, and the food came out quickly, which pleasantly surprised us after our strange wait to be seated. I got the chipotle chicken omelette, while my friends got the avocado toast and spicy chicken & waffle. The omelette was solid. It could have had some more ingredients inside to make it more filling, but it was good. The breakfast potatoes were a bit puny, and they were alright. The chicken and waffles were great, and the portion was large. The honey was so good. The avocado toast was hard and for some reason came with a giant half of a grapefruit and a bed of arugula. I made a joke that that's what my friend gets for ordering overpriced avocado toast at a restaurant, but I felt like this was a particularly bad one. This is the kind of meal that would make most people still feel hungry after eating it. For drinks, we got the mimosa flight and the violet sunset cocktail. I think the mimosa flight was not that worth it, and the juices were not that tasty. My friend liked her cocktail. The ambience was nice, and there was a musician playing and singing. There is extensive seating, with both indoor and outdoor areas. A side note: My friends and I were excited to go to weekend brunch at Urban Rooftop. Their hours on Google and on their website both say that they are open on weekends for brunch. However, when we went to open the door of the office building it is connected to, it was locked. Thus, we resorted to this restaurant a few steps away that serves the exact same brunch as the rooftop, but it wasn't as cool because there were no views. I asked the staff at this restaurant and they said that the rooftop is closed in the mornings and hasn't served brunch in a long time. This doesn't influence my rating of this specific restaurant since the rooftop is a separate business on Yelp, but I just wanted to express my grievances about that.

Friendly staff, great drinks, great food. 11/10 for a cold day. The mint on the fresh fruit was delightful and the spice in the syrup gave enough just enough heat against the syrup.

Run don't walk!! My girls and I went to Urban Eat.Drink and when I tell you.!!! I'll be calling the manager tomorrow to describe and brag about the waiter because he was SOOOOOOOOOO SWEET AND AMAZING!! We ordered 3 appetizers the truffle fries, bacon wrapped quail and this shrimp dish ALL HOT AND FRESH!! We ordered the most beautiful drinks that came out flavorful but GOOD and the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE!! It was all LARGE PORTIONS HOT AND FRESH. You just don't get that quality and service anymore !! You don't!! You guys made our GIRLS NIGHT OUT AMAZING!! We were full for an affordable price and just happy. Thank you!!

This restaurant is pretty cute on the inside. I had the blackened salmon pasta. The salmon lacked the appearance or taste of blackened salmon. The pasta sauce was really liquidy and it wasn't creamy at all. The sauce lacked flavor and was really bland. Also, the food took quite a long time to come out. I wasn't blown away by my food and wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

Came here for a date very small and quaint does have outside seating. It was kind of cool that day, but it was perfect on the inside. Flowers on the tables. Server was very nice. I had the bacon wrap quill and I also had these steak. It was very delicious. Really enjoyed our meal at the house Cabernet, which went very well with the meal as well. Really had a good time was very quiet and peaceful and enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.

This charming, quaint boutique hotel is located in a residential neighborhood in Round Rock, TX. The Ruby Hotel & Bar is situated along Brushy Creek in historic downtown Round Rock. The property is distinctly divided into to major buildings...the hotel and the bar. There is a random small building up front also...not sure what that buildings for. There is also outdoor seating, which would be pleasant in the summer. Last night we had freezing temperatures, so sub-optimal for seating outside. When we entered the bar, we felt transported to another place in time. Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). We listened to the 3 person band, who sang music from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley and so many different genres in between. What a lovely evening...date night score!

My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. With my girlfriend coming into town, I knew it was the perfect chance. We booked a reservation ahead of time using OpenTable, and even though we showed up late, the owners Lawrence and Rachel were immediately friendly and accommodating to us. Located at the Affordable Storage shopping center just north of Hutto, Grapes & Rye is so comfortable inside that you don't even think about it being a converted storage unit. There's plenty of seating for parties of different sizes and chairs that are welcoming and comfortable for long visits. Their menu is impressively expansive with a seasonal fall menu and a regular menu packed with specialty cocktails, classics, and all the liquor needed to make anything you can think of. We were served water immediately once we sat down, which felt very inviting and made me feel welcomed in their space. On their big TV was the Wizards playing the Cavs, and there was the pinnacle of New Jack Swing and R&B playing inside. It was already a fantastic vibe. While we were debating our drinks, Lawrence came by, asked us what we liked, and made picks for us that we trusted. For me, he suggested an Aviation made with gin and maraschino liqueur that was practically glowing when placed in front of me. After my first sip, I patted myself on the back for a drink I didn't even choose. He nailed my preferences perfectly, and on top of that, the drink was one of the most refreshing and well-balanced cocktails I have ever had. As for my girlfriend, she was suggested a Vierre Caureux that she really seemed to enjoy. Our tastes in drinks are pretty different, but we both were very satisfied with Lawrence's suggestions. This led to us asking them about their origins and learning that Grapes & Rye is a passion project of theirs built on their love of bartending and cocktails. They do such a good job that it's hard not to imagine them doing it full time. We hung out for quite a while savoring our beverages before ordering another round. I ordered their Negroni that was easily one of the best Negronis I have ever had. It's so vividly impressive that I immediately want them catering all future events I go to, and I want to see them cater my wedding in like three years time. It's that good. My girlfriend got a Pink Lychee Spritz which she kept saying to me "that's really good" over and over again, showing that it wasn't just me who was impressed by their cocktail mastery. Next time she's in town, I know we'll be back because the drinks here are truly on a different plane of existence. Grapes & Rye has surpassed cocktail hour and become a cocktail experience, making beverages that are next level. They deserve all the success in the world, and it couldn't happen to a better duo. It reminded me of how they do this in cooking shows to save time and you can see at a glance all what goes into making a particular cocktail. The class was informative but also really fun. It was very special to have such an engaging experience. I felt among friends at their home. I felt their passion to make tasty imaginative drinks for others to enjoy.
