We enjoy coming to Urban and one of the things that really makes the experience stand out is the live music. Rodney is incredibly talented - he's an amazing singer, and his music creates such a fun atmosphere. You can tell he has a following, too, because people genuinely come out specifically to hear him perform. We did have a bit of a service hiccup during our visit - we were brought the wrong bottle of wine and ended up waiting quite a while for the correct one. Thankfully, the live music kept us entertained while we waited! Live music like this adds something special that you just can't get from a playlist. I really hope Urban recognizes the value that talented musicians like Rodney bring to the restaurant and continues offering live music. Went here for first time. Made a reservation for main dining but was seated in front bar area instead. There is no / little air conditioning in this area and even the staff stood in front of a fan 10 steps away from us. The food was amazing! We had the lobster bites, risotto and trout. Everything was delicious! Unfortunately, the service was terrible. The bartender was the server in the area we were in. She brought us water and then disappeared for 15 minutes. I was watching as she was on a laptop doing inventory of the alcohol with a man calling out what was needed. Another waitress was at the hostess stand and waved and asked if we were alright and we said no one had taken our order. She went to the bartender and asked if our table was hers and she got up to come take it. Unfortunately, that was the last time we saw her until we were ready for the check and she only came then because I stood up to go get it from her. read more

Stopped by here today have dinner after early voting. The ambiance is nice. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. There are even different rooms to sit. The place is clean and maintained. There was only 1 bartender the day I went and it appeared only 1 server. There were quite a few people but the service was nice too. The menu is a little limited and a little pricey, but the chicken sandwich I ordered was delicious. The bar has quite a few options with cocktails. Had a picture perfect delicious burger along with some equally tasty brussels, but what really made it a great experience was the live music. It was a great vibe, lots of genres, and not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. I'll come back just for that. This place deserves 10 stars. Service, food and ambiance were all just phenomenal. Parking was easy and the location is perfect. I had the char-grilled chicken sandwich with Swiss, avocado and bacon.. I've never had one this good ANYWHERE. I added the truffle fries which were out of this world delicious and garlicky. Since we were at brunch, my friend got the Avocado toast with a sunny egg and it was beautiful, fresh and had a lightly dressed citrusy vinaigrette arugula on top. Wow! So good. First time I visit Urban for brunch and I have to say I was impressed. I never expected to find such a good Crab Cake Benedict north of Austin. Their cocktail options had changed from the last time I was there and they no longer had the Cougar, so I went with the Water Lily instead. Came here for brunch today and was not disappointed. Their biscuits are huge, fresh, and yummy! I got the urban omelette, it has pieces of meet and they were tender and very flavorful. We were lucky to have an amazing service this time and things came out on time. The place was clean and very welcoming. It's better to make a reservation. We came during lunch rush on a Sunday and had to wait 40 minutes but other times the wait it's even longer. Overall, it was a great experience. I've never been here and shame on me for waiting as long as I have!! When we walked in, we were sat right away! Our server greeted us promptly and got drinks and appetizers, just as fast!! The fried lobster tails were next level and the dipping salsa came with made it phenomenal!! We got my son the mac & cheese, which by far is one of the best mac & cheese I've ever had !! I made my own rendition of surf and turf, mushroom risotto, and let me tell you right now. I did not disappoint. !! Everything I wanted to be! My wife absolutely loved the chicken, avocado sandwich and the sweet potato fries had cracked sea salt on them which definitely complimented everything! Went in for Sunday Brunch. The patio was great and well lit (it's enclosed for winter). There was a musician setting a very chill Sunday vibe. The food was a beauty. I had the avocado toast with crème brûlée grapefruit with the added lox. The avocado toast was amazing but the salmon that they serve comes in a can and it's brown and it's clumped together...very un appetizing. do yourself a favor and pass on the lox(it's extra anyways) but the avocado toast is a win as well as the mimosas! read more

This restaurant with strange punctuation in its title was a solid brunch spot. It was really bizarre when we walked in though. We waited at least five minutes at the host desk while multiple employees walked past us without saying a word. This was 11am on a Saturday, and the restaurant was probably at 20% of its capacity. We understood that the employees were busy, but none of the employees who walked past us (and who made eye contact) gave any form of acknowledgement such as telling us that someone would be with us in a few minutes, which is usually a common courtesy. The food was pretty good though, and the food came out quickly, which pleasantly surprised us after our strange wait to be seated. I got the chipotle chicken omelette, while my friends got the avocado toast and spicy chicken & waffle. The omelette was solid. It could have had some more ingredients inside to make it more filling, but it was good. The breakfast potatoes were a bit puny, and they were alright. The chicken and waffles were great, and the portion was large. The honey was so good. The avocado toast was hard and for some reason came with a giant half of a grapefruit and a bed of arugula. I made a joke that that's what my friend gets for ordering overpriced avocado toast at a restaurant, but I felt like this was a particularly bad one. This is the kind of meal that would make most people still feel hungry after eating it. For drinks, we got the mimosa flight and the violet sunset cocktail. I think the mimosa flight was not that worth it, and the juices were not that tasty. My friend liked her cocktail. The ambience was nice, and there was a musician playing and singing. There is extensive seating, with both indoor and outdoor areas. A side note: My friends and I were excited to go to weekend brunch at Urban Rooftop. Their hours on Google and on their website both say that they are open on weekends for brunch. However, when we went to open the door of the office building it is connected to, it was locked. Thus, we resorted to this restaurant a few steps away that serves the exact same brunch as the rooftop, but it wasn't as cool because there were no views. I asked the staff at this restaurant and they said that the rooftop is closed in the mornings and hasn't served brunch in a long time. This doesn't influence my rating of this specific restaurant since the rooftop is a separate business on Yelp, but I just wanted to express my grievances about that. read more

First things first, the restaurant is so cute. It looks like a cute little house but it is a pretty large establishment with lots of cool seating areas. You can sit outside with pretty greenery, in the sunroom if you want to be indoors but still have an outside vibe, or indoors with classic seating (mostly tables but they are a few booths/benches). There is also a small bar area that is really nice. Biscuits: 10/10. The best thing I ate! The jam was also very tasty. Mimosa: 3/10. Despite there being bunch of orange residue all over the glass, it needed more orange juice. My friend and I both got a glass and the presentation was really messy. Chicken & waffles: 7/10. The presentation was gorgeous. The chicken was tender and juicy. The fruit was super tasty (I'm not even a blueberry fan but those were the best I've ever had). Honorable mention: the live music. Addam was AMAZING! I would come back just for him. We sat right in front of the stage and we had no problem hearing each other talk. It was the perfect sound level. Honestly I'm surprised this place is still open and even more so has people coming in! Here's where I messed up, my husband and I walked in and about 6 staff members were up front chatting and not one of them greeted/ acknowledged us. Furthermore, we weren't offered a seat until I walked past the crew to make my way into the bathroom. When I came out clearly I'm looking for my husband and they just watched me without letting me know where they sat him. We ordered onion rings for appetizers and it took them 20min to get them out. They were greasy, soggy and the fried flour was falling apart. Our server was sweet and apologized for the delay. She said they had one cook (and only one other family waiting for food at the moment) so it wasn't an issue. I opened my black napkin only to find it smeared with whatever the last person that used it left on it. (Again server apologized-said it was disgusting and replaced it) Our entrees came out 15min later lacking flavor, completely and without doubt. The fries were stale and salt wouldn't even stick to it when I tried to add it. I had the hot and sweet chicken sandwich that was burned and completely flattened out. Hardly any actual protein. My husband had the bbq burger again lacking flavor. The highlight of our meal was the onion rings and we know they were soggy and falling apart. So long story short- save your money and don't come here. I won't be back ever. The staff aside from our kind and sweet server really need training but even more so the "manager" that was training a team member needs it the most. read more

First, our waitress, Isis, was adorable. She may have been the only waitress working that day but service was still prompt and friendly. I had the chopped salad, adding grilled chicken. This might have been the best salad I've had. The chicken was tender and so flavorful. The salad had corn, black beans, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese and a delightful cilantro ranch dressing. Outstanding! My husband had the fancy grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. The grilled cheese had two or three cheeses, tomato and spinach on a nice, rustic bread. Soup was rich and delicious. He said it was amazing overall. We've been here a few times and have always found the food to be fresh and well prepared. This place is sort of a hidden gem. The pasta sauce was really liquidy and it wasn't creamy at all. The sauce lacked flavor and was really bland. Also, the food took quite a long time to come out. Came here for a date very small and quaint does have outside seating. It was kind of cool that day, but it was perfect on the inside. Flowers on the tables. Server was very nice. I had the bacon wrap quill and I also had these steak. It was very delicious. Really enjoyed our meal at the house Cabernet, which went very well with the meal as well. My name is JOYCE MCDONALD, AND on July 12th I attended Urban Eats Drinks with a few real estate clients whom I treated to dinner. The waitress who is also the bartender, short Hispanic female with black long hair failed to provide me with the printed receipt as I requested. My food was paid for with my bank debit card and the amount cleared on July 14th in the amount of $172.42. Visited Urban Eats Drinks on the following Sunday and spoke with Eve the Manager. She wrote my name, phone number, email address, the amount of my bill and the last four digits of my card number, and I showed her the transaction on my bank account appl. She went in the back and attempted to email me the receipt with no success, stating that she would speak with her Manager to attain his assistance and would email me and call me early the next week, which she never did. I visited the restaurant again on the next Thursday July 23rd, and the same Bartender/Waitress said that Eve was not there and did not know her schedule, and that Eve's Boss was the Owners and they were not there either. The waitress gave me a piece of paper and I wrote down all my information, and she stated that she would give it to Eve the Manager. Never received a call or email from Eve, once again. This is very poor customer service to say the least, as I have never ever experienced this with any restaurant ever in my 63 years. Today is Sunday, July 26th, and I have still not received a response from Eve. I called the restaurant and left a very detailed message to receive a phone call from Eve or one of the Owners (Allison and Blake Notgrass or Nelson and Carla Nagle), which I am respectfully requesting to receive an immediate phone call and a copy of my receipt, as this expenditure is a business expense for entertaining real estate clients. Eve has all of my contact information, and in addition, I sent an email at Manager@urbaneatdrink.com, which was posted on your Facebook. Food was pretty good, service was fair, but this situation has made my experience poor. Can't believe that this is happening just to attain a copy of my receipt! read more

Stopped by for brunch/lunch in their Urban Sunroom. Downtown round rock has plenty of parking spaces, so no worries there. The service was great and the live music was nice. We started off with the basket of biscuits. The biscuits were fluffy while crumbly, and the butter and jam were pretty good. The basket comes with four giant biscuits and with other entrees is more suitable for 3 or 4 people. The country fried chicken was well made. The batter was nice and crispy while the chicken was tender and flavorful. The gravy was good as well. The mashed potatoes tasted heavy of being mixed with sour cream, which I wasn't personally a fan of. I only had a bite of the chicken and waffle, and it tasted pretty solid as well. Now let me start this off by saying, I'm very impressed with a specific employee who made our WHOLE experience-Jesse. He took on our party of 21, despite us having two separate reservations. He went above and beyond for us and took amazing care of us. Unfortunately the AC was broken in the main restaurant and it was veryyyyy hot and humid-first thing I noticed. Really cool place. Some friends and I needed a place to go for brunch this past Sunday. We used open table to get a reservation because we were unsure if thee would be a wait which by the time we left there definitely was. So the space. Amazing / Stunning/ Great Layout You walk in and you are immediately in inside their vibe. The staff all greeted us as we walked in which was very nice. We asked for an outside table. They didn't have a lot of unbrellas out so it got a little warm. Yet we asked our server and he immediately was yes of corse. After that it was perfect. We ordered drinks no app's coffee to start. All were amazing. Coffee had great flavor and the milk sub they had was almond. ( I had asked for oat but no luck) Table had a espresso martini, bloody Mary their (house version), mimosa. All were amazing. Took a bit to get out but like I said the place was getting busy. Now the food. We ordered a few things. from French toast to a burger. Everything was amazing. The star of the show was the potatoes for every plate we had them on. You know how some times you order them as a side and they are mushy or soggy. NOT HERE they were all amazing. from little cube kind to fry sized all cooked to perfection. I would love to give this place a 5 start but like I said they didn't really have a lot of options for milk alternatives, but that could have been a day thing. OMG!!! Im heading there this Friday for dinner!! We both had the chicken and waffles.. The location was full, so walking in we had thought lets go elsewhere cause we were famished. We got sat right away, no wait. Aiden came to our table lightening fast.. Ordered drink and food since we knew what we wanted. While we waited, there was a live band playing... people were enjoying there mimosas, no one seemed or did we feel rushed, it was so relaxing for a brunch place... The chicken and waffles came out... im gonna say, at first I was a little upset cause the portion looked small for ny huge appetite. The chicken was juicy, spicy, crunchy and absolutely fantastic. I like putting Louisiana Hot Sauce all over my chicken and waffles. But this delectable plate came with the most savory spicy honey that needed very little of nothing to add to it. I got the seafood enchiladas. They were good, but I likely wouldn't get it again. The only thing really seafood about it was the 2 shrimp served outside the enchiladas. We came here for a Christmas/gift exchange with a good friend. A nice and clean area with two FREE parking garages nearby. The parking garage we used was amazing, Austin needs to up its game, it has electronic signs with arrows showing you that if you go a certain way, there are X number of spots open. Then over each spot is a light that is red if someone is parked there and green if open so even if you can't see a small car or motorcycle parked you can see the red light so you know. All for FREE. So then we head to URBAN which is nice, they have lots of seating and near where we were is another room that had a stage and even mid day Saturday had a live singer. Pretty cool. I see several complaints about the service but we had a good person who checked on us without being overbearing and was very friendly. We each had several of their drinks. Shana and I both tried the Passion Project, Our friend Ellis had the Urban Bloody Mary and the Blackberry Smash. I also tried the Blackberry Smash. All were good but the blackberry smash was my personal favorite. Food wise we all went in different way. Shana had Banana Bread French Toast as she is all about French Toast and had to try a new one. She really enjoyed it and it was more then she could finish. I had the Full Monte which is the basic eggs, potoates, sausage, bacon, etc and it was very good. Ellis got shrimp and grits and enjoyed it but not as much as we enjoyed ours I feel. We had started with the Queso which was decent but overall this is a good place. A bit on the pricey side but not outrageous. It has a nice vibe and we will be back when we are in Round Rock. Shana loved every part and everything about it. read more
