Renters Beware! Don't fall for all the so called good reviews. Bait and Switch! 1. Wife showed up…read moreto the RV with the Bed Sheets all waded up in a ball and covered in Pubic and Body hair. We thought no big deal we bring our own sheets anyway. 2. Day 1 of rental generator runs for 3 hours and turns itself off and won't restart. No big deal we thought it was time to turn off anyway camp rules. Day 2 generator runs 2 turns itself off again. Call James Shuford. He tells me he knows it overheats and I can't run it during the heat of the day. Camp Ground only allows for generator to be used in the afternoon during the heat of day. He laughs at me. He made no effort to help me with it. I was only 1 hour away from him and he offered no assistance. 3. The RV when I reserved it had a washer and dryer listed. We packed accordingly and only took 2 days worth of clothes. Now most people don't plan on washing clothes while camping but we are a family of 6 traveling from S Florida to NC. So yes we planned on using the washer. When I asked them about washer and dryer they once again laughed and said oh we made a mistake on the listing. They right away while we were camping went and deleted the washer and dryer from the add. Here is where it gets bad! Outdoorsy has allowed the owner to lie about the entire issue. They have done nothing but tell me what I should have done. When you go on your only family vacation of the year you don't want to have to deal with. Here's the final issue. When I arrived in camp after driving a hour through the switchback roads of NC there were 2 plastic window latches laying on the floor. You could see where they had tried to use super glue to hold them on. But now he is saying my kids broke then. He even told Outdoorsy "I told him my kids broke them" He elected to deduct $130 from my deposit. I had 4 hours a day to use generator and had it for 5 days only got 6 hours total out of it. He made no effort to reimburse me for generator use. When I questioned it he came up with a story that the windows latches Costed him much more and the difference was his concession for the generator. All he has done is lie about to Outdoorsy and denied it all. Funny things is I recorded the pick up and drop off and took good pictures. Next stop Rip Off Report and you can see the videos I post all over Outdoorsy social media sites. Outdoorsy May seem all nice and all but don't you want to rent from a company that supports good business practices rather than just take the RV owners side? It all was so good until something went wrong then no one wants to be held accountable. Even after the bad trip my wife still cleaned and disinfectant the entire RV because thats what we do. When we stay at hotel we always strip the bed and put all towels and bedsheets in a nice pile to help the cleaning people out.

I have been coming here for years and have had many great memories made here with my family, combined with the camping experience and/or staying in a cabin, the experience has always exceeded all expectations as the staff there has always planned different events for all age groups each time. The staff are amazing and are always available. The location of the concert was simply breathtaking. Set against the backdrop of a flowing river, the stage was perfectly positioned to encapsulate the beauty of nature. The sound quality was exceptional, and the acoustics were surprisingly great considering the open-air setup. Overall, this outdoor concert by the river and camping experience was truly unforgettable. The combination of incredible music, breathtaking scenery, and the chance to immerse oneself in nature made for an extraordinary weekend. I would highly recommend River Falls to anyone who appreciates the great outdoors, and the joy of creating lasting memories.

We stayed in the Rushing Waters Treehouse at River Falls at the Gorge and had a fun visit overall…read more The cabin is cute, rustic, and feels fairly new. One of the unique features is that the back deck has large tree trunks coming through the floor and roof. They add to the treehouse atmosphere, although they aren't actual live trees and do sway, so don't plan on hanging a camping hammock from them. One thing to know before booking is that there's a short hike down to the cabin from the parking area, about 1-2 minutes on a downward slope trail with rocks. We packed light, so it wasn't an issue, but it could be an unpleasant surprise for elderly guests or anyone bringing heavy luggage. The treehouse cabin next door, River Pines, has a shorter walk, and the other regular cabins have parking at the cabin. The back deck overlooks the river as well as a few long-term RV sites. There is a path behind the cabin leading toward the river, but the waterfront areas directly behind the cabin are occupied by the leased RV sites. To access the river, walk to the right toward the tubing entrance, or continue past the playground and bathhouse to the main riverfront common area, which is also a convenient tubing exit point. There's parking near the common area, making it easy to bring coolers, chairs, floats, fishing supplies and other gear for an afternoon by the water. The tubing was the main event and very relaxing. The website listing is somewhat vague, but the cabin does include linens (sheets and bath towels), kitchen basics (dishes, utensils, cookware, dish wash basics), a refrigerator, small oven/stove, microwave, toaster, broom and charcoal grill. Bring your own pool towels and shower essentials. A few downsides: there is no fire pit, only 1 parking spot, and the main bedroom mattress has poor support and dips in the middle. Some arcade machines were broken or took quarters without working. The biggest drawback was the value. Our stay came out to more than $600 for two nights after the cleaning fee. The $95 cleaning fee felt steep considering guests are asked to wash and put away dishes, leave the cabin tidy, and take out trash. This price would be worth it if it had designated river access directly behind the unit. The campground is largely RV residential. Overall, it's a unique and enjoyable place to stay, especially if you're visiting nearby Tallulah Gorge State Park. We enjoyed our stay as a one time experience. The front office staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our friends stayed in the honey bear cabin, which was about a 10 min walk from Rushing Waters. Although not as charming or spacious as Rushing Waters, we liked their screened porch, extra bedroom and easy access as you can park right in front of it. Plus, it has a firepit.
