My family has been coming here for years. We used to make it a pit stop every time we drove north to visit family. It's a small little honey shop. They have different honey options and a lot of samples too in case you want to try before you buy. We always try new honey and end up purchasing a new flavor each time. They have different sizes so you can buy a small batch if you want to try something new or they also have small tubs if you use a lot of honey. My mom likes to buy the tubs and pour into smaller containers and gift it to her friends when she visits. Especially in colder months when everyone is making teas or just getting sick from flu season. They also have honey candy, candles, soaps, etc. so it's fun to browse around. This time I took the lavender honey and I've been adding it in my coffee and matcha at home. Gives it a subtle hint of lavender and sweetness from the honey. I don't usually enjoy lavender but I feel like the lavender is subtle and not so perfumy. Not something I would've gravitated too organically, but I had the sample in store and here I am. They also have some spicy honeys which might be good for pizzas or wing sauces? Worth checking out. read more

So much fun! This has always been a nice stop for us just a quarter mile off the 126. This time, we were on an outing with our 11 yr old granddaughter and she loved everything about Bennett's Honey Farm. She (and we) tasted all 10 honeys. "We" chose to take home 3 honeys, sage, clover and orange, honey sticks, Caramel corn, honey candies, honey in the comb and a cute little toy bouncy ball. Everything was a fair price and the experience was worth more than we paid. Each type of honey had its own distinctive flavor. I liked the spicy honey the best. The Carmel corn was about the best I've ever had with nice big kettle kernels, just the right sweetness, light and fresh. My granddad raised bees and honey so we grew up chewing honey comb. There's something really special about eating honey from the comb. It just tastes better and turns out honey in the comb is the best way to enjoy honey. Its not processed, has more nutrients, and besides that, a novel experience. Set on a farm and shaded by giant orange trees, you'll find lovely parking, right at their inviting entrance to the tasting room and shop. We had a sweet time! read more

I stopped in Bennett's due to my interest in "health" foods...the honey selection really is diverse. I leaned towards the raw-unfiltered because it is less processed and had more nutrients (hopefully to offset all the wine I drink). Also for the purchasing was candy, candles, soft drinks and literature. I did get the raw-unfiltered honey, very good. I am putting this place on stops whenever I am in the area. Buzz-tastic! We found this amazing little bee farm by accident while staying overnight in Santa Clarita. The groupon offer is for a honey tasting for two people and 4 jars of honey - such a deal! The shop is filled with the widest selections of natural honey's I have ever seen from avocado, eucalyptus, wildflower, buckwheat, orange, the list goes on. You can find honeycomb in the honey jar as well as huge chunks of honeycomb ready to eat. We enjoyed sampling the creamed honey and ended up taking home a jar. They also have bee themed gifts, souvenirs, and products made from beeswax. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable on honey history. Went to Bennetts Honey Farm today to use my Groupon and they would not honor it because they have new management. I am a local and it is very disappointing that they wouldn't honor all of the existing Groupons because they have an expiration date for the discount. The employee even said the new management is hands off on things. I have over 40 years of customer service experience, so hands off means they really don't give a crap about loyal customers and just want to be a stop for tourists driving by!! read more

We drive out to Fillmore to purchase our honey at Bennetts Honey Farm around every 3month. It's the cutest little business; has tasting if you wish & some "sweet" Bee gifts for sale. I am SO thankful that I saw the Bennett's Honey Farm flyer in the Holiday Inn Express Carpinteria lobby. Visiting a honey farm seemed like fun over the holiday weekend. Solvang could wait. Sadly, the Tasting Room is closed due to COVID-19 restrictions BUT the store itself is beautiful with so many different types of honey and honey type products. My favorite honey is the Red Raspberry with its blend of rich tart raspberries underscored by the sweet smooth honey. Don't forget to try the honey foot balm which works wonders on sore feet. I came on a groupon and was excited to have the kids see a bee farm with honey tasting. Unfortunately my expectations were unfounded. No tasting with covid (which makes sense but why label the groupon as such?) and no farm. It's just a store. Cute retail store yes, but a long way to go for shopping. I have been buying Bennett's honey for close to a decade now; still the most delicious and the only honey that I buy! The store is small and lined with all sorts of honey, like 14 types of honey in various size containers sorts of honey. They have beeswax candles, bee pollen, honey combs, honey sticks, and even royal jelly! Anything a honey fiend could ask for. I bought $200 worth of honey when I was there the other day and they gave me a free jar of honey! Pre-COVID, they had a tasting station where you can try all their honeys and then buy your favorite so hopefully once this panoramic is all over, it will come back! I have been going to Bennett's Honeyfarm for 30 years for the fresh variety of honey and knowing it is our local bee farm. The quality is excellent. The prices are great and the little store has a variety of the products, wax candles, tasting room and interesting novelties. I highly recommend everyone to take a look at the glass beehive. What a nice little honey shop! I was super excited to have time to make the drive over this way and am glad I lowered my expectations prior to coming by reading other reviews. This is a small shop not a farm that you come to. The location is a bit far if making the drive from Los Angels county so make sure to get direction prior. The location is on honey lane down a big dirt road and has it own small parking lot. We spent about 30 minutes there, the location is small. We made a day of it and stopped at the Moorpark Teaching Zoo prior so my son and nephew had a fun filled day. Upon arrival we were greeted by the employees who were very happy to show us to the bee display dIsplay and answer all the kids questions. The boys were very intrigued. We had purchased a Groupon voucher and they let us know which honey types we could choose from for our 4lbs. The deal is absolutely worth it price wise but I'd like to mention even without it the prices are extremely reasonable $. The tasting of honey tasting is free for all and I appreciate that. I myself favor honey on the less sweet side and after tasting choose orange, and wild flower. My grandmother bought 3 lbs of Orange honey. My son favored the sunflower, and blackberry. I have to say if I had gone solely to the honey farm the drive would not have been worth it in my opinion. I love love love this place! I drive over 50 miles to get my honey from there! I love where it's located and the staff there is always friendly and welcoming. God bless this honey store always the honey is out standing!! they have a bunch of great honey handcraft goodies. For me it's always worth the drive, plus some really nice breathless sceneries. Also I received a beautiful gift today! With A beautiful verse to remind us that we must accept and believe Jesus specially in these hard to believe times, the corona virus has nothing on us when we follow Jesus, and I feel terrible if I ever once doubted gods power. It's about a 45 minute drive from Van Nuys and it was worth it! You walk into a cute honey store and get to try 20 types of honey! There was buckwheat, sage , avocado , cinnamon and so many other types of honey! Groupon had a special where you pay 12.50 and get 4 1 lb honey! This is my second time visiting Bennett's and it's as wonderful as I remember. You get to sample all the different honey. Avocado honey was delicious along with the creamed honey with cinnamon. My very favorite is the hot honey it is new, only had it for five months. I am bummed that it only comes in a small container. I have never had hot honey and boy was I missing out. Possibly best to set your GPS, instead of winging it, as it's easy to miss the turn for Bennett's. We went over for the California Honey Harvest Festival, which they sponsored. Before going to the festival grounds, we wanted to visit their tasting room. We caught the Fillmore & Western train at one of its stops, a happy coincidence. They were ferrying guests to the honey farm as an option for the festival. The visitor center / tasting room / shop was the busiest I'd ever seen it. Featuring a variety of honey flavors for tasting, they were selling a lot of the sweet results of the bees' work. We chose buckwheat and cactus this time. A cool feature for kids is a live bee hive under glass in the rear of the room. The store boasted a section of bee-themed table linens and kitchen accessories. Colorful and fun designs! A few vendors were set up in the parking lot as part of the festival. We enjoyed amazing cupcakes at one booth. Glad we made the trek to the sweet spot of Bennett's Honey Farm! read more

I got a Groupon for this place or likely I wouldn't have come. I have passed by here a number of times as I drive the 126 to and from Oxnard. Not hard to find, but dinky road to drive down. We got there and the parking was already full, but got a spot and walked in and told the cashier about the Groupon. She pointed to the tasting items and then did a Vanna White wave to all the different honey we could pick from. Free tasting and four 1lb honey jars on the Groupon for $17 is a deal...plus I got another 20% off so even cheaper. They have a lot of honey items and tons of different types of honey. We chose the creamed honey with lemon...really good, orange honey, blueberry honey and the avocado honey....all unique flavors but all really good.
