    Cozy Coffeehouse Vibes

If you are tired of the cookie cutter coffee experience, I highly recommend Urban Grange. They have their own roast of very good coffee (including Swiss Water processed decaf), the baristas are friendly, it's very cozy, and they have a great variety of baked goods. You won't find a better Americano or Baked Oatmeal Cookie in any place that rhymes with Bar Ducks or Hutch Mothers.

I enjoy this coffee shop, the coffee is delicious and the baked goods are even better! HOWEVER, the customer service is extremely lacking and the friendliness of the ladies working the counter is less than up to par, no smiles, no thank you, nothing....and that's why I'm only giving this place a 3 star

Never been to Salem before- Checked Yelp for a non-Starbucks option & found this cute cafe in little strip mall. Easy parking out front. The pastries all looked AMAZING , I picked lemon scone which was fresh & yummy. Wish I had also bought the Mario berry & mocha scones & lemon cookie. Coffees were strong & everyone loved their drinks ( iced mocha w real whip -not that crappy stuff and iced lattes) Staff were super friendly, gave us coffee & ice in separate cups so it wouldn't all melt by the time we returned from our coffee run. Recommended it to our friends who just moved near here. Will return.

From the moment we walked into the door, we could tell this was not your run of the mill coffee shop. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the staff welcoming and the coffee delicious. We also tried a cheddar scone & a curry ginger pumpkin scone with a brown glaze- so yum!!

This coffee shop is a GEM! Locally owned by a great couple and staffed primarily by them and their adult kids. The staff always greet you as you walk in and they have some of the most wonderful fresh-made pastries. They get their bagels from another bakery, but everything else they make themselves, including their variety of cinnamon rolls (from traditional to maple bacon!). The coffee is tasty and they offer both regular and dark roast espresso.

Very disappointing service. Indifferent employee even after she was over tipped. Will not be going there again.

Review Highlights - Urban Grange Coffee

Since moving to West Salem, Oregon, in June 2020, I have really enjoyed the sugar-free white chocolate mocha at Urban Grange.

You order at the counter and then you get a number to take with you and place at whichever seat you choose. Drinks and food both came out really quick. I tried the bees knees which had honey, lavender, rosemary and simple syrup with a dash of black pepper. I did not see nor taste the black pepper but I was a huge fan of this drink. It wasn't overpowering in any of the flavors and the rosemary sprig made it look so cute. I got the breakfast potato hash with no tomatoes and it was a delicious and filling breakfast. The potatoes were so good my group wouldn't stop helping themselves to them. I added some hot sauce as it was in the dryer side but still really good. I also tried the matcha coconut scone. It had a pretty matcha green color but it was hard to taste the matcha or coconut and it was quite dry. Service was quick and friendly. The inside is really beautiful and we couldn't help but do a little photoshoot, so many fun backgrounds! Things to note: Restroom shared with other businesses close by businesses and metered street parking only.

Food service can be rough, but when there's no one in line not giving someone at least 30 seconds to check out the menu is really frustrating. The coffee was pretty good, definitely worth going out for. I also really liked the peanut butter and jelly chia pudding. It was really filling and a perfect portion of protein/natural sugars before my workout. The seating area had a nice warmth to it on a sunny afternoon. The outdoor seating looked welcoming too.

Drinks are a great deal but the sandwiches get a bit pricey. Which is a huge bummer because it's super cute inside, and it would appear to be very community based. The pastries were great though, we got the cruffin, salt & herb bagel with garlic schmear, one of the special sandwiches, a danish and the cinnamon cream cheese roll. All of those were great! The coffee was hit or miss for some of us; got a latte with raspberry and vanilla that was great. The matcha is mushroom based so I didn't feel like experimenting with that. The service was a bit odd because (among other things) when we got our drinks she didn't know which lattes were which, and when asked basically gave a IDK and left. Not sure with all the great coffee shops if I'd be running back here, but it definitely has potential!
