Came in at just the right time! We were a group of 5 who ordered coffee and breakfast. Once we sat down tons of people came flooding in afterwards which we took as a good sign. You order at the counter and then you get a number to take with you and place at whichever seat you choose. Drinks and food both came out really quick. I tried the bees knees which had honey, lavender, rosemary and simple syrup with a dash of black pepper. I did not see nor taste the black pepper but I was a huge fan of this drink. It wasn't overpowering in any of the flavors and the rosemary sprig made it look so cute. I got the breakfast potato hash with no tomatoes and it was a delicious and filling breakfast. The potatoes were so good my group wouldn't stop helping themselves to them. I added some hot sauce as it was in the dryer side but still really good. I also tried the matcha coconut scone. It had a pretty matcha green color but it was hard to taste the matcha or coconut and it was quite dry. Service was quick and friendly. The inside is really beautiful and we couldn't help but do a little photoshoot, so many fun backgrounds! Got coffee here a week ago and the vibes were really off putting. Maybe it was just the guy at the counter, but he was pretty rude rushing me to order when there was no one in line in front of me. Food service can be rough, but when there's no one in line not giving someone at least 30 seconds to check out the menu is really frustrating. The coffee was pretty good, definitely worth going out for. I also really liked the peanut butter and jelly chia pudding. It was really filling and a perfect portion of protein/natural sugars before my workout. The seating area had a nice warmth to it on a sunny afternoon. Archive Coffee & Bar I swung by because I thought there was a donut shop here. It turns out that they carry the donuts by the donut makers which the physical location for them is across the street (I will write a separate review foe that business at some point) but I needed a bag of coffee beans for home and wanted a coffee drink. I got an iced cold brew from their menu and it was quite good! The drink had a nice, strong and robust taste to it and was a nice "pick me up" for my day. Looking for a place to study outside our house and loved that this coffee shop stays open late, the ambiance was inviting and cozy with the booths and had spacious tables for groups with outlets as well. It's just counter service so a bit impersonal but the staff all seemed like they enjoyed working there which is a good sign. The food was pretty good, shared some fries and the peach and spinach salad. Personally, the salad was a bit soggy for me but my husband really enjoyed it. The standouts had to be our coffees! I got the warm & toasty (?) but with matcha and it was delicious, and served in a fun cocktail glass. We will def be coming back! read more

Amazing decor in this place, and friendly service too. When you walk in there are a series of menus to your right, and the same menus are up at the counter as well. You choose what you want and order at the counter and they give you a number. Then they'll bring it to your table. I enjoyed the rice bowl. The tofu seemed to be fried and the sauce on it was spicy. The miso Moon coffee thankfully did not taste like miso, lol. My friend had an espresso and said it was terrible, very sour. Everyone else at our table seemed to enjoy our food, there were a lot of burgers and fries being ordered at the group. They have my daughter's favorite sort of salad, with blue cheese and steak. Sadly, they were out of salmon the day we visited. Would definitely consider coming back if I'm in Salem again. read more

I was traveling for work and was looking for a good coffee/brunch spot to work at for a little bit between job sites. This came up on my research and I was completely blown away. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They told me they make their own vanilla syrups and roast their own coffee beans. After some quick back and forth, the worker recommended I try their eggplant shakshuka and their iced shaken cappuccino. Both were phenomenal! I honestly am counting down the days til I get to be back in the area for that shaken cappuccino again! The subtle flavor notes from their roasted beans really shines through and is balanced by the cream they use. The eggplant shakshuka was also great. It wasn't too spicy but it was a lot of flavor with each bite. I was so into the sauce that I almost forgot to save some to eat with the toasted baguette slices that came with the plate! This is an update review. Let me be very clear: I like this place. HOWEVER... the steak is horrifically terrible. I mean, it's worse than any steak I have ever had; even my grandma's. And that's saying a lot. You do not want to know of the torture. Stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite and coffee before a hike. Walking in the ambiance is so cozy and the staff were very friendly! I brought a cool new friend I met online here and it was pretty good. Food: I just got a fries snack and she got some tasty tacos. I let her steal some of my fries cuz why not? Just good grub. I need to come back and explore more of their vegan options. I dig the focus on quality food and stuff. The next morning I had a great decaf oat milk latte with things in it before I hit the road back to Seattle. Vibe: The staff were pretty chill & cordial. The space is pretty slick. I like the whole balance to the place top-down. The whole ceiling is painted; blacked out nonetheless (very uncommon to find "unfinished" ceilings in cafes, stores, etc). Large prominent presence of literature (which is customer-friendly btw as they said you can touch and read them [gently!]) throughout the perimeter and center piece. I got a breakfast hash, and it had no sauce, so it was essentially just a bowl of potatoes since I couldn't have the cheese. When we asked for waters and condiments, the server had to come back three times because she kept forgetting things. The final time I had to pick a long hair out of my ketchup. Cozy and yummy coffee house! We were in town to visit Willamette and needed a breakfast that was not from a diner-type restaurant with vegetarian/vegan options. The Bee's Knees is scrumptious! Not too sweet and very flavorful. Matcha latte was also not super sweet and yummy. Can you tell I don't love sweet drinks? Daughters enjoyed the lemon poppyseed muffin, tasty and not like lemon cake which is often how I find lemon muffins to be. Cauliflower tacos = delish! Large portions and quality food. I love getting coffee and this has become a staple place for me. They have a smaller drink menu but the drinks are great! The staff there have been kind and respectful during service. The overall vibe of the restaurant seems to be a dark academia type theme. There are lots of plants and interesting things to look at. The bar staff are always on the move and keeping up with the busy rush on the weekends evenings, I love sitting at the bar solo and enjoying some a cocktail with dinner. Their cappuccinos are wonderfully brewed, highly recommended you at least come in for coffee if you can't make it for dinner. The butternut squash risotto for dinner is a favorite of mine, it's hard not to eat it all. Strawberry smoke is a tasty tequila mix drink I highly recommend.
