The owner, Brittany blatantly ignored my request not to trim my dog's back as it was just growing out and I did not want cut. I asked for trimming & shaping up. She didn't listen & cut my cairn terrier as she wanted to cut her or passed her off to another groomer as though I dropped her off at 1:00pm, she still wasn't put on the table to be groomed until after 4:15 and they close at 5:00pm. She initially offered for me not to pay but I felt bad as I want to support small business owners, I paid but she made me feel bad about being upset my directions weren't followed. Huh?? I also had hope of maybe working with her in the future, but after thinking about it, she shouldn't have accepted my payment and certainly shouldn't have tried to make me feel bad when my directions weren't followed. I'd heard good things about Brittany & Urban Grooming but I don't want my dog looking just like every other dog that leaves the groomers. I'm extremely disappointed and do not recommend Urban Grooming. Still on the hunt for a forever groomer for my cairn terrier that understands how to properly cut this breed. read more

Today my 1 yr old yorkie finally got groomed, Brittny is amazing. When I drop her off she was confident she would be able to groom my pup. I on the other hand thought she doesn't know my pup. I left my pup and I didn't hear anything so I figured no news is good news and I finally got the call. Brittny said she is ready for pic up and she done wonderful. I was so happy to hear that. I am IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE!!!! I was forced to board my precious baby for an extended period of time, 55 days, and so I of course took him to Urban Grooming. I do not trust anyone with my dog, but I made the best choice with Urban Grooming! It is not your ordinary boarding facility, my baby was not kept in a kennel but rather a little pen, and he was able to hang out around other pups and get major love from the entire staff. After speaking my concerns with the owner, she offered to send updates and pics and videos and she did!! And I cannot tell you guys how full my heart was when I saw how happy my baby was...if you want to board your dogs somewhere that will feel like a little doggy vacation I HIGHLY recommend this place!! I asked for no crate dog grooming place in the fb dog mom's group. Somebody recommended this place. I've been in a total of two times. The first time my dog was in and out within an hour. Second time, I dropped her off at 8:45am for a 9am appointment. I called at 12 to check if my dog was ready. She wasn't. I called again at 1, was told another 30 mins. She was actually ready at 1:15, shortly after the call. I picked her up and she smelled like how she did when I dropped her off. That means, they didn't bath her and just groomed her. I was very shocked and disappointed in the lack of service that this particular company refused to give me. Especially after years of giving them my business. Showed up to give them some business for a 1pm appointment and was about 5 mins tardy. A young girl who saw me pull up meets me outside who didn't realize I had appointment at first. The grooming was fine but they just don't know how to run a business. I've been there twice. The first time, I had an appointment early in the morning and found the door locked. They opened twenty minutes late that day. The second appointment they called me on Friday to reschedule my appointment that day due to burst pipes, They suggested the next Friday at 11 which I added to my calendar. Showed up at 11 and was told I was supposed to have been there at 9 and they were fully booked that day. It would have been nice if they would have called me at nine but no one did. I have used UG several times now for boarding my dog. Like most people, you hate having to board your baby and I believe my dog has a little separation anxiety. These folks are great though, and my girl always comes back happy, and well taken care of. She doesn't freak out upon drop off, and it is obvious the staff enjoys what they do so it isn't just "a job" for them. I used Rover before and did not have a good experience. I would not consider using anyone else at this point and would highly recommend. It's a little out of the way for me, but well worth it! We've had a great experience with this place until today. I heard that they are under new ownership recently, maybe that's why. I'm not sure. But my poor dog was there for over 6 hours. I called twice to check on him and the lady who answered both times was less than friendly and definitely not apologetic for the unreasonable delay. And his hair cut looks awful, the worst I've ever seen on him. Unfortunately, after close to 3 years of coming here, I now have to find a new place to take him. :( read more

I really love this place when I first started going there I've been there about four times. I noticed that they stop putting bandanas on my dogs after the first visit, but didn't complain. But today I saw a whole new side of them. I question them about something and they got defensive and tell me that I didn't know what my veterinarian was talking about. It is definitely being run by the millennium's that do not know anything about customer service. They were rude and got aggressive and yelled when I questioned thier kennel cough policies. I've been a vet tech for 30 years and would never even think about treating someone the way I got treated today. They literally pushed me my grandson and my dogs out the door before I even could get the leashes on my dogs. luckily my dogs are trained and followed my command otherwise my dog would have been gone. I couldn't believe the way they were treating me. Must have had a really bad day but I have learned my lesson I will not give money to people that don't have customer service or patience. And I do have a big mouth and I will let everybody know how I was treated by this company. If you do go to this place....... remember this... walk on eggshells and remember they are not veterinarians! read more

The staff is so friendly and my dog always comes out of his grooming all soft, great-smelling, and happy. After 3 trips, my dog is used to the routine and happily trots to the back for his bath (surprising, and makes me feel better!)
