This was a fun stop. We spent an hour there-it is $16 for an hour of play time with the cats. Remember cats sleep a lot! They were not all that active and had to be coaxed. Plenty of toys to entice them. The place was very quiet, I think soft music would be nice. The furniture is all plastic -best for cats but not all that comfy. These cats are up for adoption-I feel like adopting info should be posted on wall to entice you to look and consider. Small store with cute cat things. Even a purride button! Loved it. What a cute place! Well, I love a cat cafe. This spot lands a little more firmly on the "cat rescue" side and much less on the actual cafe side. Very friendly staff and you pay ~$15 to enter a room full of cats ready to play with and adopt. The gift shop out front is wonderful! Cat toys, cat nip, cat-themed jewelry and t-shirts. There's a little bit of everything. The coffee set up, due to health regulations, is just a small Keurig machine, and you can't bring your drink into the cat visiting parlor. Last day of the school summer holidays and we went to the "cat cafe" for some cat snuggles before lunch. The (obvious) smell is a little odorous at first but it's not so bad after just a few minutes. The place is really clean considering the amount of kitty kats . In fact my kiddos didn't even mention it once! Almost all of the cats are available for adoption (some are awaiting adoption finalization) and my boys had an amazing time playing with the kittens and older cats. There is plenty of seating options for humans and plenty of toys and scratching posts for kitties. There is a "small" snack bar which is included in the admission price - but I wouldn't come hungry. The admission price allows the cafe to do what they do best for feeding cats and rehoming cats. The attached gift shop has some really cute items too! read more

We were very happy to visit this great business today and help support awesome cats and kittens in search of a forever home. We had to make an appointment in advance and wear a mask at all times. We washed our hands before going in to visit with the cats. The cafe area is very, very clean and well ventilated. The cats are very social and eager to play and make new friends. Most of the cats have QR codes on their collars do you can find out more about them and how to adopt. I met several that stole my heart and one kitten tried his best to follow us home!! This place is incredible. I'm so glad I found it on groupon! Old house turned into a cat haven. You pay to spend time with the cats and you can be there for hours petting and playing with them. They have treats for you to buy and give to the cats. Pink collar means female, blue is for males, purple is for pending adoption/ reintegration and not available for adoption, and red means slightly sassy. They request that you take off your shoes to protect the cats, so if you're not wearing socks, don't fret. They provide socks for kids to adults. My recommendation is to sit on the carpet and allow the cats to come to you. Jude was a precious boy cat who was playing with the water in the sink and then locked eyes with me from across the room and walked right over to plop in my lap. We stayed in that position for an hour! Each cat has a qr barcode on their collar for you to scan and find out more information about their temperament and their beginning life. I loved this feature! I did not have any intention of adopting a cat because I already have two, but this was a wonderful experience to go with a friend and chat and hang out with cats for three hours. It's also a great way to hang out with a cat in a non stressful environment for you to see their true personality if you do decide to adopt. There is also a cute merchandise section for all cat related items for humans and felines. In the same spot is a little section for snacks and drinks to buy. I think it would be awesome if they had an espresso maker or something a bit more versatile than just a Keurig. Just a 20 minute drive from fort worth, this was so worth it! What a great opportunity! This "cafe" supports several rescue operations. The cafe part are the kitties which roam throughout the play area, zoomies, and as cats do- climb in on and over everything. They are small sweet and playful. Excellent socializing for these cats as they wait to go to their new fur-ever homes. Plenty of merch to choose from for both you and your four legged friends. Want to hang out with some cats and not have to deal with cat ownership? Then The Casual Cat Cafe is for you! You can hang out with cats by the hour or hang out with them for a full day. We choose the visit by the hour. Students can receive students discounts here for about $7 an hour. Full price is $10 an hour on weekends. The concept is the same as you hear about in Japan. You basically chill with cats. Feeding them treats, petting them and playing with them. Most of the cats are very friendly and of course are friendlier when you give them some treats. Best part is that you can adopt them here to which is very nice You do need to take off your shoes when you enter the main cat cafe area. Fear not if you are not wearing socks, you can rent or borrow them here. However, my socks are now full of cat hair, so I have that going for me. If you are allergic to cats like I am i strongly suggest you take your allergy meds an hour or two ahead of time. 30 minutes into it, my nose started to get itchy. So if you are allergic I suggest 30 mins tops. Overall a pleasant experience, my daughter loves the place. read more

What a fun shop! This was my first visit and it will not be my last, I look forward to visiting again. The Casual Cat Cafe has a special running for the month of February where every Friday the fee is discounted to $5! I was informed by an employee that they often have discounts and the best place to find them is on their Facebook page. The normal price to visit the cats Is $10 for adults or $7 for kids, that fee is for two hours, they do after an option where you can spend all day there for an upcharge. This business has a small shop that sells a variety of cat themed products from t-shirts with cute/funny sayings to stuffed cat-unicorns, jewelry and cat toys. We bought a cat coaster. You can also buy cat treats to feed the cats in the cat room for $1. Before entering the cat room you will find a bench and storage area to keep your shoes and purse. Be sure to bring socks as you can not wear shoes in the cat room for the safety of the cats. Once in the cat room you will find a variety of seating options, a group of 4 can sit at three different areas so if you have a big family you can still go. Something to keep in mind on your visit- The building is an old house that's been converted into a business, this only matters if you bring someone who is not as stable walking on their own such as new walkers or wobbly seniors. Overall the layout is good but due to some uneven floorboards and some slight elevations in the cat room if you are with someone who is a bit wobbly be mindful and check the floor as you walk. Uhhh this place WARMS MY HEART AND SOUL. I've never even considered myself a "cat person." My boyfriend loves cats and that's why I decided for us to go. We have a lot of new furniture at home and my boyfriend is allergic so unfortunately we can't get a cat of our own. We need more cat cafes like this. Tickets were about $10 a person. You reserve by the hour, but we were told we could stay until they closed. Our tickets were for 3. I believe they closed at 5 or 6. There were so many little angels, all with different personalities and looks. They provide drinks and little snacks to enjoy. You can also use the cat toys they have to help play with the kitties. We recently boarded our two cats for 8 nights and we are SO HAPPY with the care and love that our babies received. The workers are friendly, kind, and loving to the cats. We have one friendly cat and one nervous cat and they never made us feel like the nervous cat wasn't welcome or understood. They went above and beyond with her and we felt like they took extra time with her to try and make a connection with her so that she'd feel loved. Thank you to Beth, Kelsey, and the other gal (sorry, didn't catch her name). There were significant problems with the video camera system in their boarding unit, but Kelsey went above and beyond in getting it fixed. I can't tell you what a comfort it is to be able to see your kitties any time, day or night. Our friendly cat absolutely had a ball in their extra playroom. They told us that he never wanted to leave it. We highly recommend this facility and we will DEFINITELY be using them again in the future. read more

Amazing place! I took my 7 month old here and he loved it!!!! They offer free cat toys for you to play with the cats and they are adoptable which is amazing. They also have treats you can buy and give to the cats. It's a no shoes environment which helps decrease germs! I wasn't wearing socks, so they game me some to wear, and they had cats on them! Honestly, I've had some good experiences at The Casual Cat Cafe in the past. But, I would never go back there after adopting a cat I met at The Casual Cat Cafe. The cat herself was perfect, and I absolutely adored her. But, the cat's foster mom took her from me and started spreading lies about me, to make sure I could never adopt another cat from a rescuer. The people at The Casual Cat Cafe refused to listen to me when I tried to explain what had happened, and sided with that foster mom. No one needs to deal with that kind of unnecessary drama. I only wanted to adopt a cat, and now this woman that barely even knows me is making up these awful lies about me. I would never recommend adopting a cat through a company that supports people like her. I would much rather support places like The SPCA or animal shelters. And, I want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Because, from my own personal experience, I know if it's happened once, it could definitely happen again. read more

Had to seek out a kennel for a week for my Nala 3 yrs ago and found The Casual Cat Cafe close to my neighborhood. The cameras in the large kennels are great so you can see your pet, and even have a little laser play if you want with them. I was so impressed with my first visit back in 2019, that I boarded with them again last week, Dec 2022. As with many cats, they are apprehensive at first, but get used to the temporary environment and enjoy the handlers feeding and giving them play and cuddle time. The staff really seemed to enjoy Nala being there, They also send daily email postcards with updates and pics of how your pet is doing. Glad I found them here in North Richland Hills!! read more
