Communication was inconsistent, there were ongoing delays, and at times my paperwork was not ready or had to be corrected. What's most concerning is that my case was actually completed in March 2026, and I only found out after doing my own research through the court system. In the end, instead of waiting any longer, I had to access the court system myself and obtain my discharge paperwork directly. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions, understanding exactly how your case is being handled, and staying very involved throughout the process.

Early in the case, I was granted full custody…read moreof my children, placing me in a strong legal position, after successfully filing a DVRO against my ex spouse. Despite that, I was advised to accept an agreement that reduced custody and resolved said restraining order, with the explanation that it would make me look better to the court. I followed that advice. In hindsight, it was a serious error. That agreement eliminated the leverage I had and exposed me to renewed conflict later on. When additional issues arose as a direct consequence of that strategy, I was informed that continued representation would require a new and substantial payment. At that point, I was left dealing with the fallout of advice I already regretted, without meaningful support unless I could pay significantly more, which I couldn't afford at that point. The guidance I received showed poor foresight and failed to account for the long-term consequences of surrendering protections that were already in place. In a case involving custody and high conflict, I expected judgment that prioritized stability and protection. That expectation was not met. This ultimately lead to a DVRO against me launched after the agreement was made on numerous false claims and complete loss of custody of my two children. I regret relying on this attorney's advice at a critical moment. Based on my experience, I would not recommend David to anyone who needs careful, long-term advocacy in a family law matter.

When I attempted to ask a question, she would stop me and tell me more about how my claim will be denied and how their doctor may deny services too. I was 100% ok with that risk but what I wasn't ok with was not being able to ask follow up questions. She said you are not using your own time (in fact, I am). She then proceeded to tell me that I should go back to work then. When I tried to ask her how I should go about that since the doctor has placed restrictions and a HR meeting determined those restrictions could not be accommodated (I was dismissed from work on my own time) She said if your hand doesn't hurt go back (the injury is my shoulder and I've still had no diagnosis). She then told me to be careful of complaining my way out of a job. As a member of the LASD community, I 100% do not recommend

Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner and text messages oftentimes go unanswered. We contracted with this firm after an automobile accident by an uninsured motorist in October 2016. I lost quite a bit of time off from work to attend chiropractic sessions and when we completed we asked for status to settle. No response. After asking again, we were told we were in arbitration. Fast forward to Dec 18 2019 and the firm receives payment from my insurance firm. I received a text message asking for authorization to sign and deposit. We granted permission and were told that we'd have our split after the check cleared along with a deposit into our account. Again we were told we'd have a deposit in by Monday Dec 23 2019. Complete silence for the following four days and then a response on Jan 6 2020 that they'd work on the draft as they were working on distribution after settling with the hospital. About another week of waiting and we finally receive distribution paperwork. We sign the releases on Jan 9 2020 and were told that they couldn't deposit into our bank account. A check was supposedly in the mail but it never arrived. I asked for the mail date and the response was "yes". Jan 23 2020 I was sent a text asking if I received a check yet... my reply was no. They told me if I didn't get a check by 1/24/2020 they would draft a new one and send it via three day mail. Mail takes two no more than four days to go across state lines and it's been over two weeks. I don't comprehend how a check for that amount was sent via regular mail vs certified.
