Can't say enough good things about Brew Crew Cycles! Originally got 2 tickets for my boyfriend and I for him for Christmas. After telling family about it, they were all super interested. I contacted brew crew to see if we could get a full bike (14 people) for that same day and time. They were very accommodating, applied the purchase of the two tickets toward the full bike, and a coupon I got emailed to me after the purchase of the two original tickets. A few days before our tour, I emailed brew crew because people in my party were nervous about the weather (rain, all day!) Ed emailed me back and was so positive, he definitely made me feel much better! The day arrived, and it was raining. Allll day. Pouring at some points! However, we had SO much fun. We decided if it was hot out, we would have been dying! Now, the bike itself doesn't go that fast. When everyone is pedaling hard and fast, there is an increase in speed, but not that much. And let me tell you, it is definitely a work out. So you get about 30 minutes or so at each place. We went to Mustache Brewing, Birchwood bar and restaurant, and Long Ireland Brewing. Getting to Mustache was the hardest part of the tour, it was like all uphill. Mustache beers are awesome. I wish they opened the garage door because it wound up getting packed! Then went to Birchwood, which was super close to Mustache. All their beers on draft were $4! People in our group got some nachos. Then was Long Ireland. Their beers are good too, and they have a dart board, which we pretty much played with our entire time there. Our driver, Cat, was absolutely awesome! She was very sweet, kept us informed with how much time we had left, and let us play our own music! She kept up the positive vibes even when we were all soaking wet from the rain. If you book a tour here, and the day comes and it's raining, please do not cancel! We had such a blast regardless of the weather! The rain actually made it for a more funny experience. I would definitely suggest getting enough people so you have your own bike full of family and friends. Being with all people you know makes the tour that much better. This company seems to have great reviews and I'm sure it's a cool experience - god forbid you need any assistance from the staff. If you think you might need any ounce of decent customer service, stray far far away from Brew Cycle. We booked weeks in advance for a party of 14. We wanted to celebrate Labor Day Weekend with some brews and bikes, and the website advertised to spend Labor Day with them. I guess they forgot to mention that they do not actually want anyone to book on Labor Day. My mistake! (*insert sarcasm here*) So the plan was to go to three breweries. Two days before our planned ride, they called saying that the breweries were closed. They offered to reschedule for a different day. After extensive argumentation, they finally said we could go to two restaurants instead, at the same price as three breweries - when their website also offers going to two breweries at a lower price. Makes sense? Maybe if you can't do simple math. It gets better. The NIGHT before our trip, they called again. Say it isn't so... they cancelled on us. They said they just found out the restaurants were closed as well. Meanwhile, the girl we talked to literally said that this was due to a "miscommunication" since "Brew Cycle isn't supposed to be open for Labor Day, but was trying to accommodate for our group out of kindness." YOUR WEBSITE ADVERTISED LABOR DAY! No need to lie. We are all adults here. Here's the kicker: the day we were supposed to go, out of curiosity we called the two restaurants that were supposedly closed. You guessed it folks - they were indeed open. Ouch. read more

This is so boring. Def a one and done for me and the crew I went with.. We were a little late which we had called prior to let them know that and they were fine with it.. They seemed uneasy about it when we got there making it a rough start for all of us... We are indeed a lively bunch and our guy, Jay, def was not pleased by any means... We were tipsy before coming and celebrating two 30th birthdays like come on guy get a grip. The breweries were whatever... I would rather do wineries in a limo ... Skip out on this brew cycle .. You can literally walk places and get there faster. It moved like 2.6 miles at most and that was with all of us putting the pedal to the metal. Skip this...it's a good idea and sounds awesome plus they're getting a lot of press on the news and stuff but it really is just boring. If you are a loud, rambunctious crew that loves to drink and have a blast by roasting all of your friends out loud... This is not the activity for you... Loved this experience! We went to the pop up in Amityville this past Friday and had a blast. I live a little more west on the island so the idea of going out to Riverhead always seemed a bit too far for me, so when I saw that Brew Crew Cycles was doing a pop up in Amityville I bought tickets right away. We did the 6:30 time slot and the time slot ahead of us arrived right on time for us to swap out with them. The staff was super amazing and the driver was really energetic and kind. Due to New York State law you can't drink while on the cycle which is unfortunate but it didn't take much away from our good time. We stopped at Amity Ale's and Carney's pub, both of which welcomed us warmly. Everyone who drove by us during our ride couldn't help but smile as we were cycling and singing along to the tracks our driver was playing. I can't wait to try more pop ups. Brew Crew Cycles is a great way to experience the Riverhead Breweries! Having visited all three breweries before, this was a really unique and fun way to change it up. Below are a few tips: - Bring friends! Having a good group will totally make or break your experience. - Don't forget snacks and water! Although the breweries sell chips and pretzels, having snacks will definitely help you prevent getting too tipsy throughout your trip. - Be prepared to pedal. This might seem obvious, but the pedaling was definitely more effort than I was expecting. The trip wasn't far, but there were some hills that were a struggle to get up (granted our bike was only about half full on Sunday). - All three breweries take credit cards, but make sure you have cash to tip your driver. - All three breweries have bathrooms. - Half hour at each brewery is plenty of time, but if you want souvenirs, make sure you time your purchases accordingly. I had this bicycle tour booked for my birthday because it just seemed like an awesome, fun thing to do. It was a sunny promising day on a Friday at 5:00....when basically everything that could go wrong, went wrong.... My girlfriend & another friend got gridlocked in NYC and couldn't catch the LIRR in time. It started POURING cats & dogs on the way there. The traffic from the west end to the east end of long island was HORRIFIC. My GPS showed that it would take an hour to get there - I left early just in case - but it STILL took me a little over an hour and a half to get there Brew Crew cycles could not have been more understanding. We called and updated them every minute and they assured me everything would be fine. Since my 2 friends couldn't make it to the first brewery because they missed the LIRR train - they met us at the bar and the tour guide bought the waivers - which they signed there, and the wristbands - which I believe gets you a cheaper tasting at all the breweries. They were VERY accommodating. When we finally got on the road - LITERALLY the road - there were cars lined up behind us, as we attempted to cross the intersection biking as fast as we could. Let me tell you - this isn't as easy as it looks! And be sure to wear something comfortable on your feet - flip flops wouldn't work well on these bikes. Anyway - the rain cleared up - the music was blasting, of course I brought some fun props like hats and noise makers just to be EXTRA obnoxious. The breweries were all very affordable and we got served immediately after walking in. Our tour guide was always keeping us in the loop of how much longer we had at each brewery. Which then resulted in us chugging our beers to get to the next one. Considering the fact we started about 15 minutes late because of all the commotion - our tour had to be cut short because of it. So my only "complaint" would be that I wish this tour was an hour longer! It is a blast for any age - over the age of 21 of course ;) read more

Before the trip the customer service was great. When the trip began, it went down hill extremely quickly. Promised discounts at breweries not honored Before the first stop, we were given the wrong menu and told of a discount on pints. We were excited and went to the brewery...surprise no discount as promised. Informing our guide, his resolution was to contact his supervisor. This was repeated to us over and over as issues kept cropping up. Sound system failed halfway through trip - no attempt to fix Halfway through the trip, the sound system broke - completely. If you are looking for a mood killer, this would be it. Our guide had no clue how to operate the radio equipment and simply said once more to contact the supervisor. So this is clear, she wasn't on the trip. No troubleshooting was done. It was simply another issue that could not be fixed without contacting the supervisor. Given these issues, I wholeheartedly cannot recommend Brew Cycles to others. While the supervisor acknowledged that the trip could have been "much better" in an email, no restitution outside of a measly 10% off a future trip was offered for the issues we faced and lack of brewery discounts we were promised (we paid full price). It was a disappointing outcome across the board. The East End of Long Island is full of activities for large groups. I'd highly recommend you look elsewhere. read more

I am completely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and reliability of this company. We booked a tour for a group of 14, which is a full bike, for labor day weekend. The website states " break out the Red, White, and Blue and celebrate this American weekend with us", yet cancelled on us less than 24 hours before our ride stating that the locations would be closed. This company appeared unorganized as they advertise for you to spend Labor Day with them, we booked over a week in advance, and they did not know some breweries would be closed. I can not and will not recommend this company to others because of how unreliable they were. It is disappointing to not have been offered other options so that they could rectify this situation. Really fun activity to do with a squad when the weather is nice! The concept is that you have gigantic bike for your party and a tour guide to take you to the three different breweries on the tours. You pedal to get to each place, spend around 30-45 minutes per place before heading to the next one. Definitely be prepared to pedal and bring lots of water and snacks to stay hydrated and replenished throughout the trip! The breweries were all local and had a great selection of draft beers to choose from. My only negative was that the bikes do move really slowly so I wouldn't advise doing this on a hot summer day unless you're looking to sweat a lot. read more

Brew Crew Cycles is a great way to spend the afternoon or evening with friends old and new, riding around Riverhead visiting tap rooms for local breweries. From the moment the ride starts, the music lets you know that the party has begun! People on the street waved to us. So did drivers of cars which were held up until it was safe to pass. We went on two rides. The first with family members. We had so much fun that we invited several co-workers and their spouses to joy us on a second trip. On both trips the group was in their 50's and 60's. The pedaling is easy and there are several non-pedaling seats. Everyone does not have to enjoy beer. The breweries sell "flights" or tastings of beers. This is not only a great way to sample several beers but also to share the tastes with anyone who don't like beer. He was super patient wih is too Bc we were 15 min late!! Sorrentos My only complaints are, 1. Wish the Bike had atleast a Tiny Motor Bc no matter how fast or hard you peddle you can walk places quicker! 2. Heard about this cool new attraction from a friend and employee who had booked 28 of her friends to share 2 bikes. My husbands birthday was coming up so decided since he and our friends love beer, this would be a great thing to do. It lived up to my expectations. As a resident of Baiting Hollow which is 5 minutes from Riverhead, I was unaware of all of the breweries we had right here. 6 of us hopped on this bike thing, with a few strangers (thankfully or else it would have been tough to peddle with just us). The host/driver/tour guide Chris was awesome! Great energy, great music, and funny. Everyone that works there from the moment we checked in was friendly and seemed excited and grateful to have us. Made you feel like you were their friends. Visiting the 3 breweries was great and we now know more about the town we've lived in for 4 years than we did before. What I loved the most is that, as you're riding around town, neighbors in their cars, driveways, and some just walking around town were waving and smiling, dancing and filming us. Including police officers. This is a great community relations builder! Love that about it. One thing I will stress is that, it is a workout! Yes its tons of fun, and well worth it, but it is no joke when it comes to the peddling. No peddle...no move. So just be prepared for that. Good thing is you relax and drink in between :) My one and only disappointment, (NOT with brew crew), was with the lack of enthusiasm at the breweries themselves. If I owned a brewery, and this new fun attraction was bringing new customers that (like my group) may never have come there, I would go out of my way to give special attention, a discounted rate on the tastings/pints, maybe even throw t-shirts or a glass their way. At one of the breweries (which I will not name since this is not a review for them) one of our friends was ignored for quite some time as she was attempting to order. It took her boyfriend ordering for them to finally pay attention. Not cool. The potential, actually probable new business and exposure Brew Crew Cycles is and will continue to bring the breweries needs to be acknowledged and appreciated, and I hope they get on board with that fast! You know you will burn the calories so you can drink some more. :) I love craft beer and I love all three breweries this tour took us to, Long Ireland, Moustache and Crooked Ladder. Each brewery had something different for our taste. Definitely bring snacks and water so you can re-hydrate or you can buy their pretzel necklace those are fun too. Their driver was playing some awesome music to get our experience better, especially in a couple of small hills. This was honestly the best time!!! We(a bunch of 40 year olds) spent the entire time laughing. Our driver, Kristen, was awesome and had great music playing. The Breweries were just far enough away. We had such a blast with Brew Crew!! Really fun, novel way of seeing the breweries that have been popping up on the East End (and getting some exercise at the same time). We went with a group of people in their late twenties / early thirties and it and Jay was our guide...he was tons of fun and did a great job of keeping us on schedule and making sure the time in between boozing was fun. We rented a full bike Labor Day weekend. We all had a great time, thankfully the humid had let up from our September heat wave it was definitely a lot more pleasant pedaling the bike in more comfortable temperatures. We were allowed to hook up our ipod and play our own music. It was a great afternoon with friends. The only suggestion I have is longer time at each brewery, we definitely found ourselves having to chug down our beers. We would definitely do this again! read more

I just went on the Brew Crew Cycle this past Saturday w/ 13 other ladies for a Birthday celebration. We had a awesome time!! It was so much fun. Our driver was Carol & she was awesome as well. My only complaint would be that the time spent at each brewery is too short. You just start to enjoy your beer & meeting people & it's time to go pedal to the next brewery. So I think they should add another hour to the whole experience & it would be perfect. Definitely go & have the time of your life. Your legs will probably be sore the next day. read more
