The patties weren't smash burgers and were on the thinner side, but they were still juicy and satisfying. My husband ordered the BBQ burger, and he really enjoyed his as well. For our side, we shared the loaded tots. They were crispy, well-seasoned, and a great addition to the meal. Service was good overall. The cashier seemed a little serious at first and didn't really greet us, but when we asked to swap out a drink, she was very accommodating and didn't charge us extra. There was a small misunderstanding when I asked about side options, but she quickly explained that another table had the menu and went to grab one for us. I really appreciate that Urban Skillet offers halal, grass-fed beef, it's the main reason I come here. Having not had beef bacon in 15 years, I was genuinely excited to try the truffle burger. The menu lists halal beef, bacon, and truffle aïoli, but the burger came with one piece of bacon and no aïoli. When I asked for the aïoli, I was given chipotle aïoli, which doesn't work with that flavor profile imo. I was then told they just spray truffle oil on the burger, which isn't what the menu describes. I ended up asking for a side of plain mayo. I would have preferred to email this feedback directly, but there's no contact email listed on the website. I've been a regular customer at Urban Skillet for years, across different locations, and I've always liked the food -- but this experience really changed that. My uncle ordered me the loaded fries and tots through Uber Eats from their ghost kitchen restaurant called "Smashin Buns", and the description clearly said they came with bacon bits. When I got the order, there were none. I went to the restaurant to ask about it, and the chef gave me attitude and told me they don't come with bacon bits... even though it says so on the app. Then he said I'd have to pay extra if I wanted them. I submitted a complaint hoping they'd make it right, but it's been almost two weeks and I haven't heard anything back. It's super disappointing, especially as a long-time customer. She had the urban smash burger and shared the sweet potato fries. Drinks were in cans, no ice, they were cold. Neither of us were impressed with the burgers. The truffle burger is an absolute MUST. It's such a solid burger. I was so impressed. Nice and juicy, and I love the mushrooms on it.
