They made us feel very welcomed especially given our food restrictions (I have some allergies while another person in our party is vegan), which was very impressive. All the staff there were friendly and helpful. We had tons of questions about booking a large reservation in the future which they were so sweet about answering. Ambiance was very chill! Lots of seating options, wasn't busy for a late lunch, and everything seems very organized too. This place honestly seems great for both small parties and bigger parties of people. Last but not least, the food! We didn't get to try the kbbq this time but I love that there are tons of options on the menu. We got several dishes like kimchi fried rice (my friend's), cold noodle, beef brisket hot soup, garlic fries. Everyone was in agreement that it was all delicious. Definitely coming back for the kbbq next time! PARKING is important to mention too. If you can find free street parking consider yourself lucky! There is a garage with the entrance next to it that says "PARKING" which they had us pay $20 with cash or Venmo. Parking guy said we had 2 hours to return with a receipt from the restaurant so they'd give us $10 cash back (essentially making parking $10 or $20 if you go over the limit). Inside the restaurant it does say $5 parking on the wall which we asked about but this only applies on Mondays to Fridays, and we came on a Saturday. I'll add a photo of this. I love this place. It's essentially Quarters quality meat but no wait. I've been maybe 10 times in 2 years and have never once had to wait -- have literally been the only table in there a couple times (take that as a pro or con). Even when it's more busy on the weekend (I went Friday yesterday), the ambiance is def less "popping" than Quarters. I'm honestly cool with it being less of a move and more lowkey. I recommend the ribeye! IMO it's better than their featured tomahawks flavor wise. Comes with two filets for like $65. Some KBBQ places tend to overload the grill and dry out the meat to the point that it becomes inedible, but that wasn't the case here. Everyone who attended to the grill did a great job. There's convenient parking in the structure next door, but once seated, I realized I wasn't going to get the full Korean BBQ experience I came for. Every meat I tried to order was met with, "It'll take 20 minutes to prepare," followed by a suggestion to have it cooked in the kitchen and brought out ready. That completely defeats the purpose of going to a Korean BBQ, in my opinion half the fun is grilling the meat yourself at the table. On top of that, the non- alcoholic drink selection was very limited, only sodas and water. I was honestly surprised that they didn't even have a simple unsweetened iced tea. We have been coming here for years and although we do not get to come often just because it is a bit of a drive for us to come out to KTown from the SGV and it can get costly. Just came here for lunch with the hubby. We left feeling full, but we weren't too satisfied with this restaurant. We ordered off the a la carte menu and got the brisket, premium pork belly, short rib, and beef tongue. First off, the service was so so. The man who was serving our table seemed pretty rude and didn't talk much. I was a little confused at first because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do the cooking myself or not since he just put the brisket on the grill and walked away without saying anything. When the brisket was about to burn, I ended up cooking it myself. But he did come back to cook the beef tongue, pork belly, and short ribs for us. Also, he didn't let us know when the food was ready so our meat was burnt half the time. The quality of the meat was also not too good. For some odd reason, the brisket and beef tongue tasted really salty even when I didn't dip it in any sauce. I thought these were supposed to come unmarinated so the saltiness was a surprise. The music playing also was pretty confusing. We went from listening to a song from the wicked soundtrack, to Beyoncé, to kpop, to lady Gaga. They should just stick to one genre instead of playing on shuffle. On a Friday night at Woo Hyang Woo, we come in at 12:15am! They gladly seated us right away and reminded us that last call was in 15 minutes. We placed our order at 12:25 and got our food at 12:30! The service staff all worked super fast- even at the end of the night, and they never made us feel rushed! They come around to help cook your food and change the grills as much as possible! All the ban chan was delicious and fresh! At some places you can really tell the ban chan was sitting out for a long time. We order bulgolgi and beef brisket! The cheese add on is usually included with the bulgolgi, but they let us mix it with our brisket! GAME CHANGER!
