My favorite KBBQ place in the city. We live in Hollywood and go here all the time. Even though we also go to other Korean BBQ places, this is the one we come back to every time. Best order: - Brisket - Boneless Marinated Shortrib - Steamed Egg - Kimchi Rice

Our favorite KBBQ spot! The side dishes are always amazing (my favorites are the kimchi fried rice and their potato salad) the meat is fresh and delicious, and the hospitality goes above and beyond every single visit. We've been coming every couple of months, and they always make us feel so welcome. They're also incredibly toddler-friendly, which makes dining out with our little one so much easier. We always leave happy and can't wait to come back!

I recently visited Woo Hyang Woo and while the restaurant itself was nice, clean, and offered solid service, the experience overall was disappointing. There's convenient parking in the structure next door, but once seated, I realized I wasn't going to get the full Korean BBQ experience I came for. Every meat I tried to order was met with, "It'll take 20 minutes to prepare," followed by a suggestion to have it cooked in the kitchen and brought out ready. That completely defeats the purpose of going to a Korean BBQ, in my opinion half the fun is grilling the meat yourself at the table. On top of that, the non- alcoholic drink selection was very limited, only sodas and water. I was honestly surprised that they didn't even have a simple unsweetened iced tea. Overall, Woo Hyang Woo looks great and the staff were polite, but if you're going for that authentic Korean BBQ experience, this isn't the place.

    BTS Set Menu (brisket?)

We came here on a Friday night and to my surprise it wasn't busy at all. There were plenty of tables still open lol. Maybe because there's just so many kbbq options in ktown, but this place has high ratings so I did expect a wait. Luckily not! They have their own parking structure, which I saw it was $20 for parking. If you get it validated, it would be $10. So we were seated immediately. I do notice one thing about the restaurant is that the lighting is very dim haha. We ordered the BTS set menu and we ordered a short rib tomahawk. This is for a party of 4! Honestly, it was more than enough for me, but the boys at the table were able to finish it haha. From what I remembered, it came with bulgogi, brisket, etc. Honestly the meats in the BTS set menu were all very.. dry. Even though the server would cook it for us and it looks perfectly fine, they were all very dry? Also very tough. I'm not sure why the quality of these meats weren't that fantastic. I personally wouldn't choose the set menu here. Although the short rib tomahawk, is definitely the star of the show in my opinion. It was really juicy and tender, so soft! Flavors were very nice with it. I enjoyed all the sides (banchan) they had to offer. Servers were quick and efficient since they weren't too busy. So everything went very well! Just get the short rib tomahawk only.

I ordered Combo BTS and it includes Prime Beef Brisket, Pork Jowl, Prime Beef Bulgogi, Prime Boneless Ribeye with banchan dishes like kimchi, radish, salad, fruit salad, cucumbers. Food- delicious meat cuts, It was 5 out 5 for me, I liked all the meats from the combo. Service- they cook in front of you at your table and they give it to you when it is ready, great and fast service provided by the staff there. Ambiance- restaurant is clean with nice elevated decors and nice area to sit outside, no smell from cooking bbq- good ventilation, but parking is really bad around that area (4/5).

The place wasn't too small, which was good and there were many tables available. We arrived right when they opened and got seated immediately. Boneless Ribeye Steak Rice Bowl(8/10): The bowl was delicious! The meat was tender and nicely seasoned, but I feel like the only downside to the bowl was the ratio. I felt like there was more greens and rice, and there were only a few pieces of the steak. The soybean soup that came with the meal was my favorite! As for the sides, I enjoyed the kimchi very much! The kimchi was nicely fermented and had so much umami! Sausage(7/10): The sausage was dry and salty, but flavor is not bad. Service(10/10): Our server was fast and attentive. They were nice and friendly and nothing felt rushed. Overall, I would come again to try their KBBQ!

Came in for a lunch time so it was quiet. I enjoyed the cold noodles since it was hot. Meat was great. Service was quick and thoughtful. It's a medium space spot looking through the Main Street. So lunch time might be a bit bright. It picked up later after lunch so plan ahead.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 This is almost five star restaurant. After let down of my usual spot I have decided to try this highly rated bbq spot. Parking was terrible as usual. I went with combo BTS. Restaurant wasn't busy the time that I went. Meat quality was great and it was cook by the servers. Everything went well, I just wish they would be more generous of side dishes. If they have their own parking lot I would give them 5 stars.

Just came here for lunch with the hubby. We left feeling full, but we weren't too satisfied with this restaurant. We ordered off the a la carte menu and got the brisket, premium pork belly, short rib, and beef tongue. First off, the service was so so. The man who was serving our table seemed pretty rude and didn't talk much. I was a little confused at first because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do the cooking myself or not since he just put the brisket on the grill and walked away without saying anything. When the brisket was about to burn, I ended up cooking it myself. But he did come back to cook the beef tongue, pork belly, and short ribs for us. Also, he didn't let us know when the food was ready so our meat was burnt half the time. The quality of the meat was also not too good. For some odd reason, the brisket and beef tongue tasted really salty even when I didn't dip it in any sauce. I thought these were supposed to come unmarinated so the saltiness was a surprise. The music playing also was pretty confusing. We went from listening to a song from the wicked soundtrack, to Beyoncé, to kpop, to lady Gaga. They should just stick to one genre instead of playing on shuffle. For the price we paid, I was full but I feel like we could've gotten better service and better meat at any other Korean restaurant down the street.

As you can see, NOTHING was left over

The service was absolutely amazing. The servers were so attentive and even made suggestions on how to eat certain items. The meats were all excellent and I loved the spicy soup that came with our order as well. I'm very happy and pleased with my first time here. Now I see why my boyfriend loves this place so much. I'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything

Can you grill on the patio?

We can't grill on the patio, but you can order 'kitchen cook'. Thank you.

Do you have halal meat option?

Hello, Sania, We are so sorry that we currently not offer halal options anymore, but we will announce if you have them again in the future!…

Are the combo prices per person? For example if my partner and I wanted to do combo C would we each pay the combo price?

The price is for the combination set. It isn't a per person price. You order the set and just share it. There is a suggested party size for the set so you know how many people they think it feeds but that is just an estimate.

Would you be able ro accommodate a chicken order for dinner? I see you have it available for lunch but not dinner. Someone in our party has dietary restrictions.

    Is pick up available.?

Yes, but To-go orders are until Lunch Time (4 pm) except for event menus, Check tight our events. https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17903851997441390/

What are the hours on Thanksgiving?

Mostly the hours are the same as usual. But the best way is to call WHW.

Yes, we have gluten-free meat, except for the marinated one! Please ask our server first, and enjoy your meal:)

Do you have outside dining, and do you take reservations?

They do have out side dinning for sure.

Are you open this july 4th? Thanks

Yes, it is. You can order one meat for two.

You don't need to show the proof of vaccination. :)

The bar itself has a cozy atmosphere, and the photo booths are a great touch. We first ordered drinks from a female bartender who was friendly, professional, and served us quickly. The restrooms were clean and spacious. Having only two stalls for such a busy venue isn't ideal, but it could always be worse. Later, we went back to order another round. An older white bartender wearing glasses started serving us, and while he was preparing our drinks, he was also taking another group's order at the same time. I completely understood that since the bar was very busy. We ordered two Whiskey Sours and one of the bar's signature cucumber cocktails. The Whiskey Sours were served in margarita glasses without ice instead of traditional whiskey glasses. I assumed they had simply run out of the proper glassware because the bar was packed, so we didn't complain. The real problem started when it was time to pay. The bartender placed the payment terminal in front of the other group instead of us, and they accidentally paid for our order. Instead of acknowledging that it was his mistake, he immediately acted as if it was somehow our fault. We tried to resolve the situation calmly and even offered to pay the other group's bill and buy them an extra drink to make up for the price difference (their bill was about $31, while ours was around $45). When it came time for us to pay, I chose not to leave a tip because of the multiple mistakes that had already happened. At that point, the bartender completely lost his temper. In the middle of a packed bar, he raised his voice and started yelling at us, saying it was disrespectful not to tip him. He also complained that we had ordered drinks that weren't on the regular menu and that making them had taken him "so much time." As a bartender myself, I know exactly how long it takes to make a Whiskey Sour, and it's certainly not an unusually time-consuming cocktail. If preparing it had been a problem, he could have simply told us before taking our order. He continued shouting that the bar was extremely busy, called our behavior "disrespectful" and "f***ed up," and finally told us he would never serve us again. We were honestly shocked. This was the first time we've ever experienced someone reacting this aggressively simply because we chose not to leave a tip, especially after such poor service. I've worked in customer service for years, and I always tip when I receive good service. I would have had absolutely no problem leaving a generous tip if our experience had been pleasant. After that confrontation, we no longer felt comfortable staying in the bar, so we left immediately with a very negative impression. Looking back, I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. It seems that many of the negative reviews mention the exact same bartender. A truly disappointing experience.
