Oshin Roll
Cynthia G.

The quaintest of all sushi restaurants with the BIGGEST neighborhood feels! Maximum seating inside was 14 guests. If you want outdoor seating, 6-8 guests seems about right. You can tell this is a legit place because Uber Eats/Door dash were consistently in and out for our dinner service. One thing I love about city living is how how innovative the city-dwellers can be with the space their working with. Not one inch of this restaurant is wasted! If you don't like cramped spaces, this place is not for you. But if you generally like people, don't have B.O., and are a pleasant person yourself, then add this to your rotation for eating out! I was worried it would be hot, but the a/c worked beautifully to keep us cool. Back to the neighborhood feels: the chef/owner seemed to recognize a lot of the customers who came in for take-out. Which means repeat customers. Repeat customers = happy customers. A very good sign we chose the right spot. The food was fresh. BEAUTIFUL presentation of our dishes! We ordered the Sushi Donut, hamachi sashimi (EAT THE shiso aka perilla leaf, a palette cleanser), American Roll, and sampled the Oshin roll. Everything tasted delicious! The Oshin roll, located under their vegan menu was, oddly enough, the winner for me! We will definitely be back!

The chicken katsu was thin, crispy and so delicious with the various sauces! The display of our meals were so cute aswell. The oshin sushi was such a fresh and bright taste along with being vegan! I will definitely be returning for wonderful food, a clean establishment, and the kind and informative staff.

Amazing quality of sushi ! The volcano roll is crunchy and flavorful, next best was the oshin roll - unique and fresh. I also had the ramen which was perfecttt ( chicken broth/beef meat). Thank you Devin for seating us and being so kind and hospitable

Been multiple times. Hands down our favorite ramen in the city…read more It's easier to get a seat for one or two at the bar. But if you go with a bigger group you can always sign onto the waitlist and walk around Chinatown until your table is ready. I like the spicy ramen with shredded pork. But all are really good. I usually get the takoyaki balls but their buns are good too. Service is usually pretty timely and you're in and out. Stomach full. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

There was luckily no line for both times we came but seated by the counter. Menus are online, so need to scan the barcode to read it on your phone. Plenty to choose from... Appetizers, main dishes and beverages. Drinks: had cold green tea and hot green tea Appetizers: fried gyoza and potato croquette which were good. Pork buns if you are hungry are filling and good. the chicken katsu don - definitely enough to share...rice with chicken and egg and sauce inside.. you can add additional spices and sauce to flavor as needed. Highly recommend the charsu don which we got the most recent tried - very flavorful with the sauce it comes with and we finished it up. Best dish I had the entire trip in Philly! Thank you!!! Friendly staff and service. Common restroom for customers. Will definitely come back we're back in town!

The pot stickers were also simple yet amazing. Staff here was very kind and friendly. Place was nicely decorated and love all the dog decorations throughout the restaurant. Would definitely come back for another quick bite when in the area. Love it here.

Came on a Sunday evening and about half the small restaurant was filled - the space is super cute, with an inviting dark blue color scheme and cute posters and photos of inspirational quotes and dogs. We ordered the Tofu and Eggplant taco and Mushroom and Zucchini taco to start - both were delicious. The mushroom and zucchini one actually had slightly more flavor, but the sauces on both were really tasty with good contrast in flavor, and the veggies were fried just right. For mains I got the Vegan Miso ramen with egg noodles and my husbans got the Vegan Spicy Kimchi ramen with egg noodles. I LOVED my ramen - the broth was deeply savory, the corn added nice pops of sweetness, and I really enjoyed the soy patty - it was chewy and had a great bite. My husband also enjoyed his ramen and said it was one of the best in the city - the kimchi flavor was very different than any ramen I've tried before. Service is good and overall I will definitely come back to Taco & Ramen and maybe try a new item. Yum!

I got their signature Ramen dish, which had a very generous portion of pork and fresh noodles. I was not a fan of their garlic broth and the significant amount of ginger slices. Lastly, my soft-boiled egg came out hard-boiled. That was a little disappointing, but I'll write it off as a fluke moment. I don't think I will get this Yamitsuki Ramen dish again, but I look forward to trying something else on their menu during our next visit. My wife got the Tan Tan Ramen. The proportion sizes was also good and her soft-boiled egg also came out hard-boiled. She felt as though the meat was very dry, and the bamboo was tough. It goes without saying, she is not very interested in coming back again, but we will give them a second chance since they are a small business. Ambience: pretty cool. The anime-themed wallpaper and Naruto on the menu were nice. I also enjoyed the music selection. It could've been a little lower. I had a hard time getting our waitress's attention and I attributed that to the music volume.
