Had the privilege of meeting with Eric Cotton, owner and wine maker. Because we were early in the day, spent over an hour with him. Got to experience and learn about all of the varietals of wine and he's doing an exceptionally good job. Particularly impressed with the dry riesling, the Meritage Rose (no one else making anything like it), the dornfelder, and three very complex great cabernet sauvignon's. Very much enjoyed learning all that they're doing and highly recommend someone stop by there's a wine connesiour and those wanting to learn more about the Grand River valley. I finally experienced this wine boutique during the Music Hop Festival. ASSORTMENT: The shop impresses with its extensive global collection of wines and spirits (over 500 wines). You'll find anything from the mundane Aperol to the trending Veuve Clicquot to the classic Dom Perignon. Beyond the wine, you'll discover interesting foods - wine spreads, locally acclaimed POP mustard, local Heights Mitchell's Chocolate, pasta, oils, and more. There is a rich gift assortment suitable for any occasion - erode soaps, bookish trays, adorable wine beanies, soap tubs, greeting cards, and beyond. You'll find really expensive and extremely reasonably priced wines co-existing in a single space. Wine connoisseurs might be impressed by "The Impossible Collection of Wine" for $1,400 that features the most exquisite vintages (with original labels) from around the world. Interestingly, some of the wine labels circa 1920s are as old as the neighborhood where this shop resides. BOUTIQUE: The boutique is in a historical Heights Rockefeller Building surrounded by local dining destinations. The boutique is charming - wooden detail, chandeliers, and strategic spotlights. The store display is always beautifully designed. The store contains a retail area, and a small bar with bar stools. During my visit there was wine tasting for $15 with options to try 3 pours. I tried Aperol (with prosecco). Seemed like a great value. There were also complimentary appetizers. A Glass of Vino (string trio) were playing right outside the shop. SERVICE: The owner and sommelier have extensive experience in the wine industry and provide wine consultation. They were reasonably friendly. I genuinely felt subtle imperious reactions. It's somewhat atypical for the city's culture but maybe that's just wine culture. Perhaps that would be different if I was a regular. Parking: Small parking lot is available behind the building. Street parking is available during busy times. Pour is an interesting concept in the city. It's the most sophistication and extensive collection of wine. It's a perfect destination if you visit the restaurants in the area or are shopping for a gift.

This is our first visit here in a few years or longer. This is a hidden secret. Such a cute little…read morewinery. One thing, they do not have central air and or air condition in the winery I think. The last time it was very warm inside but the grounds outside are very nice. I had a wonderful Musette wine. We had purchased a bottle of this and two bottles of the Gwertztraminer. It was recommended by a nice young lady at Baci to come here. She said that is from the area and this is her place to visit when it comes to Gwertztraminer. She wasn't kidding, it was a very good wine. When I sampled the Musette, I smelled it and said American Oak? she smiles with a yes. What is incredible is that all of the wine that is available is all sourced from the estate property. She said the building next to the winery is where they make all of the wine. I plan on stopping back the next time we are in town. Good service and great wine.

This was the most crowded of the wineries we visited, and the patios were getting a bit cluttered, as there weren't really trash cans or anybody bussing the tables. I enjoyed the white flight, the Temptation was my favorite, and we shared a fruit and cheese plate with an apple, crackers, bread and a fantastic aged chedder. The apple was served whole, with a steak knife to carve it up yourself, on a Styrofoam plate, so didn't quite match the scenery and overall vibe, and a steak knife is not the right tool to cut a huge honeycrisp apple. So it was a nice snack, but could have been done a little better. FYI - the actual winery is not super accessible - steps up to the front door, the bathrooms are down a flight of stairs, and the outdoor areas for enjoying your wine are mostly accessed by stairs as well.

Exiting the back of the church you come upon a couple giant flight of stairs that could be a problem for some visitors. These stairs lead to a seating area up on a platform that feels like you are perched on part of a castle overlooking the fields of grapes. I must confess I'm not a wine expert. I enjoyed the flight of dry reds I ordered. My friend ordered the charcuterie board which had a huge wedge of bread and a very tasty cheese we kept begging for more tastes of.
