Very good! We sampled the Gewurtztraminer and a very nice Pinot Gris with a charcuterie board. Live music. So many good choices in wine and the vineyards are lovely!!

Intent on trying a lake shore winery, we found this site was rated about as high as you can get. It's found on.a road littered with other wineries. We each had separate tastings, then the Artisan Cheese plate to enjoy at a leisurely pace. This was the best such food we've ever had at a winery: Artisanal cheeses, fruit , nuts, crackers (flavorful - not the common kind) and bread from fresh baked bread (again - not a common load - herbed and cheesed), along with a with herbed dipping oil. Excellent, enough for 2 and only $15. The server - Patty - was pleasant and helpful. Individual have such unique tastes - and even I've noticed some wines are better on different days than others - that I hesitate to comment on them. Let it suffice to say there were a few we very much liked/purchased and the Winery should have enough varieties to appeal to most tastes.

Picnic tables can fit 8, or more if you squeeze.

What a great place to spend a beautiful summer day. There is a large outdoor seating area surrounded by trees and vineyard, and lots of spaced out picnic tables. Some people also brought their own folding chairs, and that might be more comfortable than sitting at a table for hours. There was a talented live band (it was a Saturday night) that I didn't love, but some of my family members did! There were about 8 choices of wine, and you can order by the bottle. We split 4 bottles for our large group, and my favorite was the gewurztraminer, followed by the rosé. We also ordered several flatbreads and a cheese tray to split, all of which were good for vineyard food. They had run out of the hummus tray and one of the red wines when we were there, but there was still plenty of variety. I highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing outdoor activity!

One of our 7 stops on our Winery Hop, today. One of our favorites, but sadly very disappointed! Not for the wines (although they did not have my favorite Le Jacques Terrier); not for the food (we all had their chicken tortalini soup, served piping hit) but the entertainment. Because the inside of this winery is limited, trying put an "outdoor styled" performance just isn't good. The two person group was excellent but my gosh, the volume!! You couldn't speak across the table! And that's a shame for the performers. We were more focused on our conversation, then their songs. Better on the stage OUTSIDE to really showcase their talent and for the enjoyment of the customers. People WILL visit w/o the need for entertainment indoors. The wines and menu justify visits. Hopefully something can be done since having good food, good wines, and conversations make for a pleasant evening.

Grassy dog friendly zone. Lots of seats and shade.

Dog friendly, recommended, pleasant atmosphere, good service, music when we were there Memorial Day weekend. Recommend the cheese plate including a small baked loaf of herb laden bread, olive oil, nuts, sliced apples, and of course cheese-three varieties. Wine was decent. Tried the Cabernet and Chardonnay. Will go back.

We're sitting here right now enjoying the Musette! A jammy red blend which has an awesome label as well. We're here on a Saturday fall afternoon, petting the resident pups, and listening to blues. It's beautiful and a day filled with long shadows... On days like this, carry in your car some folding chairs, the wineries are packed- and you can just go create your own seating and relax. I've been here in both summer and fall, and this winery is small, but cute and cozy. My go to here is the Pinot noir, but I am really liking this red blend!!

We stopped and shared a bottle of wine after visiting the covered bridge and dam a few miles away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered at the tasting bar and sat outside under the pavilion. It was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect and it was a nice place to enjoy a bit of time together. Can't wait to go back!

A lot of outdoor seating, and the inside was nice and quaint. Bottles were in the $20-25 range for the most part. My favorite thing about Harpersfield was the food. The smoked sausage/roasted peppers flatbread, walnut Gorgonzola flatbread were both ridiculously good, and big for the price. The chicken salad wrap was the best chicken salad I've ever tasted, and it was overflowing with ingredients. They have curry in the chicken salad which gave it loads of flavor. I can't stop thinking about it. They are dog friendly on all grassy areas. However, they do have a couple smaller dogs on premise, and one of them wasn't overly excited that my two dogs were there.

Nice people and atmosphere, except the little wishbone dog peeing on everyone's coat and everything else around. Lol.

    Sausage and peppers pizza!

I wrote a review eight years ago and wanted to update. The guy I was dating (now I'm happily…read moresingle) is gone and this is a place I've ventured to many days on my own. I sit at the bar and enjoy a Wine Burger. Just... this is the BEST burger. They DO have wonderful food, and great specials- (of note the Pasta Sunday!) But then if I DON'T get the Wine Burger... I ask myself why didn't I just get the Wine Burger?! lol. To save my poor frazzled mind, that Burger- which is heaven on a plate -is a must. So now I order it and you can change the sides, add a salad- etc. But just get this scrumptious lil slice of Burger Heaven. The service is just fine, but it is slower-so you'll see me scrolling at the bar, yet the food is so worth it. The wine is sweet- as in sticky sweet so if you like the better wineries- Old Mill is those sweet comfort wines. I know what they have and when it's warmer I get a Grindstone Pink, but I like their Chardonnay. For this high palate wine drinker, it's mellow, soft and refreshing. Sure, it's not a high end fancy chard, but it's theirs and I love it. The atmosphere is rustic, cute, funky and casual. I love sitting outside too in the spring/summer. This is my spot. I'll bring friends visiting the area here (to get my Wine Burger- lol). What usually happens is that everyone orders something else and then my Wine Burger arrives. "Oh wow, that looks awesome." "I should've ordered that- maaaan that looks good!" "Hey you don't want to trade do you?" "Oooh! Can I try a little bite?!" No. Get your own. I warned you and I will fight you on this. lol! So go here and always get the wine burger and you'll leave with a tummy full of joy and a smile. This little place may not be a fancy, high end dining experience- but to me it's laid back, delicious- pure joy. It doesn't need fancy trappings or even expensive prices. It's home. Get a Wine Burger. Amen.

We ordered 3 appetizers - pretzels, spinach dip potatoes, and old mill dip. And 3 meals - bacon-chicken-ranch wrap, and 2 kids cheeseburgers. One kid loved his burger and the other said it was okay. They have a lot of little things for sale including hand painted wine glasses that were adorable! This was the most crowded of the wineries we visited, and the patios were getting a bit cluttered, as there weren't really trash cans or anybody bussing the tables. I enjoyed the white flight, the Temptation was my favorite, and we shared a fruit and cheese plate with an apple, crackers, bread and a fantastic aged chedder. The apple was served whole, with a steak knife to carve it up yourself, on a Styrofoam plate, so didn't quite match the scenery and overall vibe, and a steak knife is not the right tool to cut a huge honeycrisp apple. So it was a nice snack, but could have been done a little better. FYI - the actual winery is not super accessible - steps up to the front door, the bathrooms are down a flight of stairs, and the outdoor areas for enjoying your wine are mostly accessed by stairs as well.
