    My review and managements responses
    Debbie M.

I don't even know where to begin. They owners are bullies. They attempt to publicly humiliate you. They won't respond to private email last yet they have time to come on reviews and put you down. My email was entered wrong so I never received my contracts. I was told I gave them a fake email. I'm not 5 I have zero reasons to lie. I have a few medical issues going on. My doctor recommended me to stop over doing it and stop going to the gym. I spoke with my trainer whom I love which is the only reason I stepped foot in their door. She wanted me to give it one last try. She kept everything very light and slow and I couldn't finish without severe pain. I physically can't do it anymore. Upon giving the manager my doctors letter and my personal letter. I was told it couldn't be accepted. I asked for a address to send certified mail I was told there wasn't one. I asked to speak with his boss and there isn't one. I left a google review and received a reply within hours being put down. I have nothing to hide. I do not need to lie. The manager said he's worked with people with my condition and I should be exercising and having physically therapy. That's 1 of my 3 problems. The reply said I hope I'm honest with my doctors and tell them I trained extremely light trying to see if I could continue. Again, I have zero reason to lie. Being spoken to and about the way "management" does is a reason all on its own to not go. Besides unless you're dead or permanently disabled you'll be held to your contract. The doctor stating he recommends I stop isn't good enough verbiage. Please utilize any other gym. They don't care about their patrons. They care only about money. They have zero people skills and refuse to actually help you when you need it. By the way The Edge had zero problems with my doctors note. They showed empathy and I showed them this review and response. It's all about how you treat someone.

I committed…read moreto doing it, went online, found a location close to where I would be working today & signed up as a drop in. I have never ever taken a yoga class before so I signed up for a beginner class and I honestly don't know what I thought it was going to be.....but this wasn't it. First, I couldn't find the place. The gps kept saying arrived - but I didn't believe it because it kept taking me to a shopping center. I saw Kohl's, PetSmart and BurgerKing - no way would there be a yoga studio here. But there it was right next to the Spirit Halloween store with a sign as big as day. Ok so all that farting around looking for the place made me late. I walked in literally 3 minutes before the class started. I ran into a young woman who asked if she could assist me. After explaining that I was there for my first class and apologizing for walking in at the zero hour she told me she was the instructor and that she would wait for me while I changed. Ok - so far, so good. (For me anyway, idk about those 13 other people who had to wait for me) The studio is very clean, peaceful, spacious large windows covered with blinds to set the mood and a corner with mats, blankets, blocks & eye pillows in case you forgot yours. This is where it got a little confusing for me. I thought I would get a workout, I thought someone would correct poses & posture, I thought I would break a sweat or at the very least get a killer stretch. Nope, none of the above. The instructor was sweet and did say this was a beginners class which is what I wanted and she stated that she was pregnant and would be going slowly. Ok, all that's fine - but I'm sitting here wondering what I got out of that one hour class, did I do yoga? Or did I sit on a mat inhaling? On top of everything, $15 for a drop in seems pretty expensive when most other places charge between $7 and $10. I don't know if I'll be back. I kind of want to try a different instructor but am worried that if the class is like this one was, I'll be turned off to yoga. But at the same time, I don't like writing poor reviews and they offer so many classes that it could have just been a one off. There were 13 other people in that room so there is a really good possibility that it was just me and I probably just need more than just breathing.

There is always a good selection of yoga clothes from popular yoga brands and even some original Shine merchandise. I could easily go broke. The locker room and bathrooms are immaculately clean. There are lockers, two showers and two bathrooms in the woman's changing area. Lets talk yoga... I usually stop in this studio when I am in the South Jersey area. Friday nights there is a community yoga class which runs around the $8 mark. A normal drop in costs $15 so the community classes are a great way to save. There are a few different styles of classes to choose from but my favorite is the 75 minute power yoga. The flow is fast passed and always keeps me on my toes (ok, pun intended). The flows are never predictable so I never get bored. The room is heated to about 90/95 degrees so be prepared to sweat! The instructors follow the Baptiste style yoga and will make corrections and offer modifications. Music is usually played during class, and it's not all ommm and shanti shanti. During savasana I was given a small cold hand towel to help cool off. Again, I only come to this studio occasionally but I feel that there is a strong yoga community built here at Shine. There are often unique yoga events like glow in dark yoga, yoga accompanied by a DJ, teacher trainings, kids yoga classes, all day yoga fest, etc. Follow Shine on Instagram for the latest updates and pics of your favorite yoga pose.

I immediately signed up for a class for the 1st day I was in town. Angela warmly welcomed me to her lovely and clean studio. She grabbed all my details and we got started. I signed up for an equipment class so expected more folks to turn up. However, she said she didn't have a minimum class size so I'd be getting a 1:1! It was a fantastic surprise. I had an amazing session with Angela. She kept me working hard the entire time. It was just what I needed after a long haul flight. I can't wait to get to my next class!

Sweat, fear, apprehension, worry, stress, daily drama and all the b.s. that comes with being an adult. I want to get my heart rate up, twist, turn, pull, stretch, bend, move and leave having nothing left to give. To be honest, I get mad when the class I take has the group sitting around rolling our writs around for an hour. I can do that on my own thank you very much. Enter Justin & Yoga Rebellion. I ended up here because a friend is constantly talking about this place and all the great things that happen in this tiny studio in Haddon Heights. First, I was welcomed in and made to feel at ease - critical for a new person. Second, the studio is clean, intimate and heated. Critical - I hate yoga in the cold. Third, the class was so challenging! Holy CROW Pose! You want a workout, you'll get one here. For me the magic comes from what happens on the mat. When I'm trying to pay attention to the queues, trying to keep the flow, trying to land the pose, trying not to fall, etc ...I am not thinking about anything else. I get out of my head, I quiet my thoughts and leave feeling refreshed. That's the whole point, a reprieve a break from life - even if it is just for an hour. My friend is an amazing yogi. I'm not, I can't do any of those crazy inversions, arm balance sequences, I'm not flexible and I still can't turn myself inside and out. I won't lie, I was intimidated from all that I've heard. There was no need. If you are, don't be. Don't worry about anything other than yourself and your practice. Give it a try, you will be so glad you did. Cheers & Namaste.

First, this little studio is amazingly clean and wow does it smell good inside! I see oils and some other 'smell goods' behind their check in desk - I mostly get the scent of lavender and maybe a little citrus. Second, I have taken only two classes here but both have been incredibly relaxing. A truly wonderful place to destress and shake off the day. I enjoyed both instructors and found the other students friendly and welcoming. There is no mirror and students are encouraged to go at their own pace. I am a Bikram junkie so this was my very first experience with Vinyasa Flow style yoga - I really enjoyed it and left both times feeling really great. So a few things for anyone who has never been here before. You enter right into the studio, so shoes need to come off at the front door, there are cubbies for your gear right there in the front. Oh and speaking of strip malls, this studio is next door to a Chinese Food place and standing outside waiting for the studio doors to open might make you hungry. Lastly, if you have never done 'hot' yoga, don't be intimidated, it's nowhere near as hot as it is in the Bikram studios.
