So I made an appointment online on a Monday for a Tuesday appointment at 7pm. I showed up at 6:40 and was told I was not on the schedule for that day. So I pulled up my phone and showed the lady the appointment that I scheduled and she said I wasn't on their schedule. I was in extreme pain and needed to see someone. They did not care at all. They said well there is no way we can see you. I never got a cancellation email or anything. I would say if you are looking for someone who cares do not go to this urgent dental. I'm the worst patient and they never got frustrated with me. The dentist and all of the employees are amazing. Prices are unbeatable. My mother is an older woman and she went to this location today to get her tooth extracted after her appointment she said the doctor had put numbing medication on her mouth, then he had gave her the shot immediately after, before the medication had time to work. In very bad pain my mother was asking please wait a minute and he proceeded to disregard and still give her the shot, when she was telling him she was in excruciating pain. He was yelling at her very loud that she was moving to much then went back in to extract another tooth yelling real loud at her that we aren't gonna have any of that! My mother started crying then he started scolding her saying if she "don't stop moving you may have to go somewhere else to be put to sleep " My mother has had dental work done her whole life and she has never had this problem and she also has a high pain tolerance. This is so unacceptable. The doctor was Dentist was Dr.Patel, the receptionist, that are not very good at assisting and will leave you up there waiting are Sarah and Kaylan the assistance of the doctor are Ashley, Loghyn, Laurie, Maddy, Britney. I'm very disappointed if I could leave zero stars, I could. Please do not go here and please do not bring your family here because they will be treated poorly. read more

HANDS DOWN the single-most unpleasant, unprofessional experience I've had dealing with any type of 'medical office', in my near 50 years of life. From start to finish, starting with a Google search for "Urgent Dental Care near me" one Saturday morning (due to 2+ consecutive days of dealing with EXCRUTIATING tooth pain), every step of communication (or lack there of) was rude, unprofessional and highly inconsiderate of the situation. As I was attempting to leave a voicemail w/info asked of me upon calling number listed for FLORENCE location, I received a call and then a subsequent text from a personal, NOT business phone number. The 1st thing I was asked (via text) was whether or not I had private insurance and was told if I didn't answer I wouldn't get a response. Although I had just left that very information on the voicemail, as recording instructed me to do. Then, despite my voicemail AND by then, my text stating my excrutiating pain, I was asked, (via text) "can you wait until tomorrow?". Um, NO! Hence my Google search "URGENT...". My eventually asking "so can I come or not" FINALLY prompted a "come at 2" response. Drove to Florence office from Butler KY (my location also left in vm). Upon arrival I see note on door 'call this number to be seen at main office'. Called number '...mailbox full. goodbye". Drove to main office where I was even apologetic for now being FOUR minutes late due to location not earlier confirmed via their rude texts. Desk attendant rudely 'all emergency people are just going to have to wait...we're so far behind'. A considerate, professional person would've said that over a considerate, professional phone call (not text) from get-go. Especially after being informed of my pain AND my location. At that point, I decided I wouldn't be seen by these people even if the services were free. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. Surprised this so called Dr. has patients at all if this is how everyone is treated. AWFUL!! read more

I wanted to love the experience.. however here I am 3 days later sitting back in the waiting room watching person after person go back.. I was here Wednesday. Had to have a tooth extracted and a cavity filled. Didn't feel much pain, dentist came off like she loved her job and knew what she was doing etc. I left after about an hour and a half with one less tooth and one more cavity. 3 says later.. here I am Saturday morning .. been here since 930, it's now 10:17. The receptionist said it would "be a few minutes" so for starters.. know that is out of habit. It will not just be a few minutes. Secondly, as I sit here feeling like glass is slicing my gum where my cavity was filled.. a tooth I was having zero problems with prior to having work done.. now that I have a filling there, for some reason I have been in complete agony for 72 hours , sitting here in the waiting room shedding tears out of pain. Oh and did I mention my fiancé pulled a tooth fragment out of my gum line? With that said, the only reason I am writing this review is because I find it absolutely ridiculous that because of something that happen in your chair, I'm left waiting person after person. You should be fixing this mistake before bringing another back to possibly make the same mistake with. Maybe I have it backwards? But I personally believe a business should own up to their faults, get you back in a TIMELY manner and FIX IT. I didn't pay $700 to sit here debating pulling out my tooth in your waiting room. read more

Worst service I have ever had when In pain. I went there because it said URGENT dental. Assumed they were truthful on their ad stating they would see you without an appointment. I sat for an hour with tears in my eyes from the severe nerve.pain I have. Was told they see appointments first. So what the hell is the Urgent part for? Don't go there. They are very unprofessional. Kept telling me soon. I am/was an emergency and not 1 person in waiting room. Enjoy all my reviews. I had 2 teeth that were causing me pain. I called on a Monday and had an appointment on Tuesday. After being numbed up and left to marinate while the Novocain kicked in, Dr. Smith and the dental assistant Laurie came in to extract both teeth. I could not believe how fast they got er done! I was impressed with their kindness and attention to my concerns. Laurie held my hand as I applied the death grip while getting a shot in the roof of my mouth. I am so happy with the service. I went here after a received a crown that didn't fit right from a different dentist. The dentist who did the original work was on vacation and it was a holiday weekend. While I wasn't in constant and unbearable pain, I wasn't comfortable and really needed some relief. I was told by a person on the phone that this place was a full service dental place and many people went in for regular services and so they weren't just for emergencies. I was happy to hear that and headed out on a Sunday to have my crown looked at, and I was hoping to be relieved of my discomfort. After a rather long wait, I got to go back. They sat me down, asked about the problem, and after I told them about it, they asked who did the crown. I told them, and then I was told by the dentist there (not sure of his name) that that dentist was his friend, and he didn't see anything wrong with the crown and wasn't about to touch it and I would just have to wait until my dentist came back from vacation. I said I thought that just grinding it down a little was a very simple thing to do, but he said it wasn't and this was a complicated situation. He also kept saying what a good friend that dentist was to him. He said this was not an emergency and I wasn't up at night in pain so I shouldn't be in there and I can wait for him to get back from vacation. It isn't in his mouth, preventing him from chewing right and causing him discomfort, so that is easy for him to say. It also goes against what I was told, that the place isn't just for emergency situations. The dentist was very rude and condescending. I hate paying for this. Basically I paid so he could tell me off. If he would not/could not treat me, that is fine, but the attitude was unnecessary, and I find it strange how he seemed to keep talking about his "friend." That felt unprofessional. I've seen other urgent dental places in the Florence area. I will be trying one the other ones next time I have a need. read more

I went to get my dentures aligned and ended up getting new dentures because the ones I had were too big and looked like horse teeth. My new dentures look and feel amazing. I have gone back for hot spots and will continue to do so until I no longer need to do so. The staff were very friendly and professional and Dr. Brown is fantastic. He explains everything he does and is straightforward. The cost was affordable and I am grateful to finally find a dentist that knows what he is doing when it comes to making dentures that fit and feel good too. read more

I went to urgent dental care in Florence on February 22 with a pain in my left implant. I saw Dr. Brown, whom I had seen in the past, and he had been helpful with solving a problem with my left implant. But this time, he did not take an x-ray to see if I had an infection, but did what he called a debridment on all four implants that took about 5 minutes. . He ordered an antibiotic, amoxicillin, 500 mg and then left; when I wanted to ask the dentist a question, he was already with another patient. I have had an infection in the left implant before, and amoxicillin did not work, and it is not working now after 5 days, and I have almost finished the 7 days of tablets. The result is that he did a very poor job, did not take an x-ray, and on top of me having continuing pain, he charged me 189 dollars for something that was not even called for. My son had a loose baby tooth that ended up abscessed. Our regular dentist was closed that day so we went to this location. The wait was short and the billing was easy. When we went back, the woman was less than personable but did what she needed to do quickly. Dr. Brown came in to look at my son's tooth. He brought with him his small dog- the one you see in the picture. I found this odd for a medical office. He picked up his dog and sat him on my son's lap. No question as to whether my son was allergic to dogs. I just don't see how this is sanitary to have a dog in an office. Once he gave the recommendation to pull the baby tooth, I had to go to the desk to sign consent and pay prior to them pulling the tooth. I wasn't helped by the desk staff for several minutes but eventually paid and signed consent. When I returned to my son's room, he had already pulled the tooth. How did he know I signed the consent and why wouldn't he wait for me to be in there? I won't be going back. read more

I desperately needed my back molar looked at because of severe pain and I tend to be fearful of going to the dentist. Let me just say the staff here was wonderful and I got back pretty quickly and Dr powers was great and made me feel at ease and talked me through everything. I came to this facility after having my wisdom teeth removed and was experiencing horrendous pain in my jaw. My Oral Surgeons office was closed and it was a Sunday. After speaking with friends and family who had gone through the same thing, I was terrified I had dry sockets. I couldn't even sleep the night before. Anyway, I thought urgent care meant there would be a sense of urgency throughout the staff. Not at this place. The receptionist seemed annoyed when I walked through the door and told me to have a seat and someone would be with me SHORTLY. I WAITED 2 HOURS. When I was finally called back, the dentist told me my healing process was going perfectly and that I was just "sensitive" to the pain I was experiencing and sent me on my way. I went to my oral surgeon the next day to find out I had dry socket. This place was a waste of time and money. read more

I went there tonight with a major toothache that hurt all the way up to my eye. Apparently I had a couple small cavities but nothing that would cause that much pain. After taking a couple different x rays to make sure there wasn't a hidden issue, he said it was likely due to a sinus infection that I felt like I was getting. He sent me on my way with a prescription and advice. I thought it was great that they were so helpful and didn't go out of the way to just try and make you spend unnecessary money (which I feel like most businesses do anymore.) I went to Urgent Dental Care to have my daughters cavities filled and my other kids their yearly checkup. I had taken daughter a couple of months earlier and they told me to come back after her braces were put on and not to worry they were tiny cavities and could wait. When I went up there, I was told I had to pay for EVERYTHING in full b/c now they say I had a past due amount that was paid but b/c it was paid late, I had to pay for everything up front. I had gone to them in '11 and was told my balance was zero, so I didn't think anything about it and the insurance should of paid 100% b/c it was billed exactly as my daughters last visit (which was covered at 100%). Months later when I was out of the state caring for my father, I received a phone call that I owed 40 something $'s, so I went ahead and paid for it even though I didn't know what they were referring too. I believe I AM the victim of possible fraud b/c the receptionist told me I had reached my max and that is why it wasn't covered yet it was my first visit of the year and I have a 3k maximum! If you want a dentist who cares, is not going rip you off and who is knowledgeable then never walk a step in their door! Not only was I a victim of this, but I took my daughter up to Immediadent and found out that this Urgent Care AGAIN had frauded us! My daughter had no cavities what so ever. They were obviously trying to make money off of us again. I am going to turn them into my insurance because this is definitely fraud and unethical. Bottom line this place is out to make money anyway possible and don't let it be you or your family that becomes their next victim. read more

I payed 3000.00 dollars for two crowns & root canals that was not a root canal,but what they called was grinding two bad teeths down, too glue crowns too! A root canal is when you drill nerve out & insert a post for the crown ! the crowns fell out after two months so I had a big hole in front teeths,looks GREAT#%! I went to Urgent Dental on a Friday night because of a toothache and was told I needed a root canal. They told me they needed $900 up front in order for them to do the procedure. The root canal was completed and the next day the pain was worse. I went into my regular dentist and was told the pain was being caused by a crown that was coming off and not because of the tooth that needed the root canal. If you're going to request $900 up front, please make sure you're doing the correct procedure. read more

Urgent dental in florence ky has more negatives than positives for sure. One of the doctors there actually doesn't wear gloves!! They have rusty instruments, and don't always even sterilize their drill attachments. Almost all of the instruments/machines there have some form of rust or dirt on them. Out of the many doctors who work there, I can only think of 3 who are actually keeping up with standards of hygiene. They talk negatively about their patients within earshot of said patients. The assistants are mostly ok, none of them seem to want to be there. The front office girls, specifically one, always sits on her butt at the front desk out of uniform, and plays games on her phone. Every Time I've called I've been treated as though I'm not good enough to be seen there. The assistants actually SMOKE CIGARETTES or E-CIGS inside the office! The owner actually brings his DOG into the office and let's him roam around into patients rooms! There is a horrible stench coming from the sterilization room, and a foul odor coming from the sinks in the patient rooms. The wait was outrageous, and if you don't come in before 8, you won't be seen, even though the door clearly says they're open till 10. I've been talked down to by these people, made fun of, and treated very poorly. I wouldn't get near this bacteria cesspool with a 10-foot pole!! Is negative stars a possible rating??? I would never suggest urgent dental care for anyone! Even the most serious dental emergency won't be taken seriously there! read more
