I want to say thank you so much to the team and this location! Absolutely wonderful people. I had to bring my dog as she had a ruptured anal gland and they were able to get her all cleaned up, sent home w/ prescriptions, and calmed me down all within 2 hours! They followed up to make sure she was healing well. Could not be more thankful or recommend more

Do NOT go here! Charged me $850 for nothing Took my puppy in yesterday after seeing her eat pieces of a rubber toy my other dog shredded. They took X-rays and confirmed they saw something but said we didn't need to induce vomiting. The vet said he didn't see that would help. She threw up 2 of the pieces at 1AM and then continued to throw up at 3AM and at 5:30 AM and it was tinged pink. She still has at least one piece inside that's now causing a blockage. I am currently at another emergency vet and she will be having surgery

Thank you so much to Dr Carmen Perez and all the staff from the front desk to the technicians! You all really helped make a difficult situation much more tolerable. Holiday weekends with a sick pet are always so stressful. You guys made me breathe a sigh of relief with your skill and care. Hopefully we won't be back... but I will highly recommend Urgent Care Veterinary Hospital. I am so very thankful you were right there when we needed you. My dog, Silver, looks to be feeling better and will be seeing her dermatologist soon for continuing care. Five stars all the way!! Thanks again Love Donna and Silver

The staff was amazing from the front desk then techs and Doctor! Would recommend them for any emergency for your pet! She's doing better.

Compassionate personnel. Explained exactly what my little puppy had and even though the outcome was bad they showed empathy.

They were very understanding, took accountability, and made the effort to correct the issue. They were able to get my puppy in for her booster shot and waived the fee that had been missed during the original visit, which I really appreciated. It meant a lot that they followed up and took the time to make things right. While the initial experience was frustrating, I do recognize and value how the situation was resolved. I'm hopeful this reflects a commitment to improving communication and overall client experience moving forward. ------------------ I wish I didn't have to give a star at all but seeing as I have to in order to leave a review, I'll give them one. I had a really disappointing experience with this vet clinic, and I would not recommend them based on how they handled both my dog's care and their billing process. During my first visit, I brought in both of my dogs and was told there was a $74 appointment fee per dog. However, the clinic only charged me for one at the time. There was no mention of an outstanding balance when we checked out and no indication that there was an unpaid fee due to their own billing mistake. Fast forward to my pups booster appointment, and the experience became even more frustrating. The clinic called me and asked me to move her appointment back 2 1/2 hours because they were short staffed. I accommodated their request and rearranged my day to make it work. After already inconveniencing me due to their staffing issue, I arrived for my puppy's appointment only to be told they would refuse to see her for her Pavo/distemper booster unless I paid the $74 fee that THEY failed to charge me during the previous visit. Instead of taking accountability for their own mistake, they placed the responsibility on me and used my puppy's care as leverage to collect a charge they failed to properly communicate. What made this even more concerning was hearing the front desk staff on the phone with another pet parent saying they had also "forgotten" to charge them for their appointment fee previously and were now trying to collect payment. This does not appear to be a one-time oversight--it seems to be a recurring issue with their billing practices. I completely understand that businesses need to be paid, but the way this was handled was extremely unprofessional. Pet owners should not be surprised with fees after the fact, nor should they have their pet's appointments delayed because of an internal billing error. A veterinary office should prioritize the health and care of the animals they serve, along with clear communication and accountability. It seems that is not the case at this vet. Collecting their money is the ONLY priority. Unfortunately, after this experience, I no longer feel confident bringing my dogs here and will be finding a different veterinary provider moving forward.

I am not a client here. I have never been here before. Even though they are not an emergency vet, they still helped me. I pulled up in front of the doors to see if they were open (it was 745 am). Ally opened the door and asked what was wrong. I could barely speak. All I could do was open the door and get my dog, Wendy. I thrust her into Ally's arms. Wendy was catatonic. I asked, "can you help?" Ally said, "we got you". They admitted her immediately. Ally was wonderful getting all the preliminary paperwork going. She was kind, gracious and patient. Thank you Ally. I met with Dr. Riley, who was amazing. She did not sugar coat things and told me what we were looking at. My little dog's heart, liver, and kidneys were shutting down due to some sort of septic shock. We have no idea what caused it. It was very sudden. We had to have Wendy humanely euthanized. There was nothing we could do for her. There was another woman who helped, I wish I could remember her name. She was amazing as well. She brought Wendy in the room wrapped in a blanket so we could say goodbye. They let me and my husband take as much time as we needed and Wendy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I know this review is lengthy and sad. But I want everyone to know how amazing, gracious, understanding, empathetic and honest the staff here was. They helped me and my husband through a difficult situation that was very sudden and emotional. Thank you to everyone who helped us today.

I feel like I'm at a car dealership with the amount of pressure to buy extra. I had a $100 credit from Pet Desk which I called to confirm a few weeks before our appointment. When I went to check out (they had tried to convince me that I needed to spend $1200 - in reality, the things my dog actually NEEDED was only $432), they told me that I didn't have the credit that I called and confirmed. I told them that I had called and it was confirmed, so she went in the back to talk to someone. When she came back she said she didn't even see my phone number because she looked it up since "all calls are recorded ". Complete BS! There was another instance a while back when I purchased their Petly plan. They had tried to tell me that I had used two of the 'perks' that came with it, when in fact I had not. While waiting, I personally heard the staff at the front desk mocking other pet owners who were calling in to get care for their pets. They acted completely irritated to be helping their own customers. My cat Gracie was seen that day for vomiting and an earache. On 8/3, Dr. Timiney left a voicemail stating Gracie's blood work showed an elevated Amylase level of 2,500 U/L (their normal high is 2,200) and crystals in her urine. In the voicemail, she explicitly stated that Gracie needed a specialized prescription therapeutic diet to address these issues. I spent two days calling back to get the food and prescriptions, but my calls were repeatedly ignored. On 8/4 at 10:00 AM, my husband and I went to the clinic in person desperately trying to buy the prescription food the vet recommended. A staff member named Taylor explicitly refused to give us the prescriptions, refused to sell us the food, and ordered us to leave the premises. She actively blocked a sick animal from receiving its medication. When we left, she sarcastically told us to "have a good day." After Grand Paws kicked us out, we started reading other people's online reviews of this clinic. Realizing through their past history that we were never going to get the help we desperately needed from them, we knew we had to get Gracie quickly to another qualified veterinarian. Hours later at 4:37 PM, Dr. Timiney left another voicemail admitting she knew we had been trying to call back and stating she heard Gracie was now declining and might need urgent x-rays. This proves the clinic knew my cat was getting worse, yet they chose to withhold her medicine and kick us out earlier that morning. We rushed Gracie to Bell Parkway Veterinary Hospital, where the amazing, professional staff immediately stabilized her with pain meds, anti-nausea meds, and her therapeutic food. Grand Paws practices patient abandonment and has zero empathy from the front desk down. Avoid them at all costs if you love your pets.

They follow up when the dogs have procedures and make sure they are doing ok. You can tell they love animals and I am thrilled with the care my pets receive. Regarding this location, it is 10 minutes from my house. Very convenient. My only wish is they had doggy day care and boarding at this location, but hey, you can't have everything. The other Surprise location has it. I think Peoria does too. During Covid, they had a mobile vet service, which I loved and wish they would start up again. Regarding emergencies, you would have trouble with most vet groups getting appointments after hours for emergencies but during working hours they try to fit you in ASAP. Additionally, when they find a problem, they create room in their schedule to address it. For example, the doctor found a cancerous tumor during one of my dog's comprehensive exams, did the biopsy, and when it came back positive, scheduled her for surgery within a few days. I am thrilled with Banfield's care and will continue to use them. I know when I change Banfield locations, they share their medical notes on line and each doctor can see what services my animals received previously. I'm confident regardless of which doctor we see, that my animals will receive great care. The vet techs are all great as well. There has been the occasional cancellation when a vet had an emergency or the on-line appointment system messed up an appointment, but I can count those instances on less than 4 fingers over the last 15 years. I've never really had an issue with my pet plan membership, aside from when I had to call to change from my husband's name to mine when he passed away. They do have a strange policy of only speaking with the individual listed on the policy so that is odd. I think that should be changed.
