The good - It was in our neighborhood. - It was empty. No patients. - They report that they're a pediatric urgent care. - They confirmed that the guardian that was present with infant was the parent. - They asked for the reason of the visit. The bad - Infant came in with a fever of 101.8 (rectal). No medication given prior to the visit. - Took over an hour to get seen by the provider. - Checked infant's temperature through forehead thermometer (97.9) - The Medical assistant (M.A.)/front desk asked the mother to swab the infant instead of taking the initiative. - The M.A. was on a personal call throughout the visit. - The scale to weigh the infant was broken and they did not ask the parent for infant's last weight. - Didn't ask the parent for medical history/allergies. - The Medical equipment were either missing or broken. I.e. (Otoscope, infant scale, stethoscope). - Medical supplies scattered everywhere. - Gloves worn all over and not changed. - No soap available near sinks to wash hands. - M.A. waited for parent to pay the co-pay before giving a statement about recommending going to the emergency room instead of being there. (A statement stuck behind a pay wall.) - Lack of an exam. "Medical provider" (did not introduce herself) came in the room. Parent stated it was a fever. The "provider" reviewed her chart. Sees that infant has a fever. Anything else wrong with the infant? Parent brought up the ear discharge. No Otoscope to use to inspect. Shined a light to the ear. Observed the infant's ears from a distance and determined ear infection. When asked if she is going to examine the ear; "Provider" admitted that they don't have the means to do so. Parent observed stethoscope around "provider's" neck but she did not listen to infant's heart or lungs. "Provider" stated that they will send antibiotics and Tylenol to the pharmacy without asking about allergies or verifying weight. The medication dosing/schedule was not clear. Unprofessional and mostly uninterested in helping in general. Only interested in taking my money after my two visits. Second visit was a follow up to see if the medication was helping. Sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes to tell the doctor my condition didn't improve and then have her say: "Well there is nothing else I can do for you here, I'm going to get you a referral." Waited 5 minutes for the doctor to say "I don't know a specialist in the area. You should take this referral and call your primary care doctor for a specialist" When calling yesterday to settle my 150 dollar payment for the first visit I was informed I was being charged an ADDITIONAL 150 dollars for the doctor telling me she can't do anything else and to call my primary care to get the name of a specialist to use the referral. What's worse is the person over the phone was very dismissive when I asked about the charge for the second visit. He went on to say that he'd just charge me fully for both visits and I could call back on Monday to talk about the second charge. Definitely won't be returning to this place. For anyone needing to just go back for a follow up and possible referral see if you can save yourself and use phone or email I'm not unruly, 150 for the first visit is fine. There was time and effort put in by the doctor but being charged another 150 for my second visit given how it went is absolutely ridiculous If the payment gets adjusted or refunded in fairness ill change this review but until then I think its crazy how things are run at this place. read more

Literally a joke this whole place is terrible , they wear the same gloves for every person so ask them to change their gloves if u go here . The front staff is rude. When calling on the ohone they kept hanging up and leaving it on hold for ridiculous times . They do not care at all . The chat on the website is useless. I've also emailed still no response . The portal doesn't work. It's 100% a scam Just to get your money whether out of pocket or from your insurance. The front door buzz to get in didn't Work. This is my first time going to this urgent care I came for physical for my job they lost my urine test in the process. Don't go there

I wish they had 0 Star because that's what it really deserves. I believe whoever gives this place more star it's probably friends and family. I took my daughter here for body aches, cough and chest pain. The doctor wouldn't do a flu test or covid test, she said she didn't need to! She told my daughter she was going to send Tylenol and antibiotics to the pharmacy, when I confronted the doctor and ask why you didn't you do any exam or ekg she said she's ok she just have walking pneumonia! She didn't mentioned this to my daughter said, she then said your daughter is young she' doesn't need this. Ii replied excuse me young people have cardiac issues also. The receptionist said she's in a rush because she wants to pray she's late. I then took my daughter to City MD and she had great service they did all proper test. Urgent way is horrible please do not go here. I will continue to report this place for its horrible patient services. read more

READ THIS: Do not make an appointment with this location. Their representative admitted that there is no point to making an appointment. They see people as they arrive. If you have an appointment at 9:15 and show up at 9:05 but 30 people were there at 9am then you will be the 31st person seen!!!!!!!!!! Just horrible. read more

This is the worst urgent care I have ever visited. I have been to many urgent care locations since the start of COVID to get tested and this is by far the worst. The staff is rude and not accommodating in any way. I joined the line at 9:30am and didn't get called in until 1:30. The nurse retrieving patients from the line was extremely disrespectful and purposely didn't take me in. I understand testing centers are inundated by an influx of patient but the staff can at least give some information to people standing outside for FOUR HOURS. This place is a joke and should be shut down. My daughter tools Covid test on Sunday and it's Wednesday no results. My daughter is responsible so she is quarantined. Because we think she has Covid-19. Monday all day called they answered that someone will her back, The portal is impossible and do not work. Please don't waste your precious time or Insurance. The front desk can be rude on the phone and turn you off from going in. However, I've never experienced rude service from any of the staff/doctors. I live nearby and this is the closest urgent care to me, I've been seen a handful of times over the years. read more

Only leaving one star because I have to leave something. I never write reviews but I feel my experience should be considered before you choose this provider. A month ago, with a lapse in insurance, I needed to find a place for covid testing and a sick visit with reasonable self pay cost. The website stated that Urgent way charges based on income. Upon arrival, as I waited to check in a disgruntled receptionist was yelling at a patient on the phone, asking , " Whachu want me to do, you asking bout a prescription from two months ago ". Same woman gives me my paperwork to complete and Then tells me I need to pay 175 dollars w/o insurance. I asked if that would include both the testing and visit and told her I'd pay after visit was complete as no services had yet been rendered. She couldn't answer me, she didn't know what the 175 included and said I did not have the option to pay afterwards. Avoiding an argument, I paid upfront to be seen but asked for service pricing in writing which also could not be provided. Visit complete , testing done , doctor never got up from her chair to examine the areas of chief complaint. Get a call the next day ... covid positive and a brief instruction to isolate. Couple weeks later 100 dollars bill from lab-taken care of because covid testing is free. Few days ago I get a bill for 50 dollars for services rendered by a male doctor the day after my visit. I call the number on the bill which brings me to main office in Hempstead and a gentleman tells me the additional charge it for a telehealth visit Bc they had to call and tell me I was positive. WHAT?! Would I have been charged if I was negative , if I called them instead of them calling me. This guy doesn't like questions so he gets me over to billing where the rep repeats the same BS about a Telehealth appt being scheduled which I had never done. What if it was STD screening results instead , routine blood testing? Why are you charging people to receive results which is and has always been a service included in a visit, regardless of how many days follow or what the results are and calling it a telehealth visit ? Chris in billing didn't like questions either and waived the fee for me, but the 50 dollars is not the issue. The concern is an urgent care facility in the midst of global health scare taking advantage of patients in a primarily low income community and the elderly who often do not have the advantage of advocating for themselves. Check your bills if you've visited this provider and check on your elderly family members who may have visited, to ensure they have not been taken advantage of. read more

Literally waited over two and a half hours to be seen to take a covid test for work. Something that takes less than 4 minutes. I kept being told that it would be another 10-15 minutes. Once seen the lady who took my vitals was nice, however the guy who conducted the test was not gentle and not the most pleasant. Giving this one star is too much. Extremely rude receptionist. I declined getting COVID tested at this location because I was unable to communicate with the receptionist. No matter what you do, please remember that you are servicing others and it's no ones fault that you are dealing with what you are going through. If you don't like your job, take a risk, and look somewhere else but it's not okay to make others feel uncomfortable, cut them off, raise your voice, and make their experience as uncomfortable as you made mine. I was called today that they received the results from my x-rays, which I picked up myself last week, and that I can come in to discuss the results. I paid the visit fee ($90) according to my healthcare provider to then be read the results by the doctor. My vitals were taken, not sure why, and I sat in the office and the doctor READ the results to me. I explained that I am in so much pain that I can not stand up for a long period of time and the medicine he prescribed two weeks ago doesn't do anything for my pain. He then directs me to tell the Doctor at my physical therapy all of this. Not sure why I was charged and what this individual did for me or my health. Do not go here! What was disturbing was the fact that a second opinion determined your physician was incorrect. I've called numerous times to obtain clarifications on exams and no one in your facility has called back and someone in your front desk purposely disconnected the line Do NOT use excuses for the lack courtesy, common sense and good customer service as to why you're getting this review. BEWARE PATIENT PORTAL MAYBE COMPROMISED. I received an email at 2:40am that my password was reset. I never put in a request to reset my password. I called customer service spoke with Sam. Sam was rude and dismissive. His response was this is a glitch in the system. This was an unacceptable response, to a patient whose medical records may have been compromised. Sam never extended himself to followup and find out why this happened. Sam is the customer service supervisor if a supervisor is rude and dismissive to the patient can you imagine the subordinates training. I requested to speak with Adam, because my family has dealt with him in the past. His response was I'm(the I'm referring to me as the patient) not understanding him and my request for password reset came through late. I never requested a password change. He was not understanding me and my concern is my password was reset, without my request. I asked for the headquarters to write Adam gave me the email address for information. Info.urgentway.com. I asked where he was located he replied upstate Urgentway does not have offices upstate. So Adam lied what are they trying to coverup. They are not good for communicating and understanding patients. I cannot write a review good enough to reflect the outstanding service I have received at EVERY visit to this facility. I have had multiple injuries & illness's due to the nature of my career. I have brought my concerns to; Columbia University (Manhattan), Sound Shore Hospital (New Rochelle), Assorted Montefoire "outposts" & hospitals, the HIP building near Castle Hill Bronx (Westchester Av) and a few others. Why so many? Lets see.....A "Dr." at the HIP building told me my "ovaries" were a healthy size after a sonogram.....im a man, an obvious, beard wearing blue-collar grunt. The "Heptologist" at Columbia just never followed up or returned calls. And the other various examples of non-professionalism have already wasted my time, so I wont list them and lose time again! Guys & Gals, lets be honest with ourselves & each other. The world changed. I'm 39 born in 1977. Back then professionals were just that. Doctors, Police, Teachers and just about any other occupation that was considered a career as opposed to a job. Gone are the days. Today, they want to get you in-n-out, hit your insurance for whatever they can (blood test EVERY visit??), hand out whatever prescription they can or push you out with a "referrel' and make you "the next guys problem" Honestly, if they could hand out OXYs $$$$ for headaches I'm sure most would......a real "chop-shop" "hold on, I'm checking my Facebook mentality". I remember in Columbia University they called my name to draw blood, and the tattooed girl mopping the floor put the mop down and said "follow me".....yep, she was the phlebotomist. This is the most professional staff I have EVER dealt with. So much so that I had to collect names so I could be very exact on this review. I'll start with the "site manager", her name is Toor and she is a VERY professional, friendly, knowledgeable woman, essentially "driving the car". Really guys, if the driver does not know the directions, would you still want to pay for the ride with a bad gut feeling?! Not me.....if you choose to put anyone but the best in the front window, you have made a terrible mistake. Some of the other Pro's that will re-define healthcare for you are Shivam, Farzana, Alisia, Monique, and a few more who's names I'm unsure. Doctor Khan, the main Dr. I believe, is amazing, as well as Dr. Chiu and 3 others who I cannot remember their names unfortunately. They are all very "human" and "organic". By that I mean, they will remember you (because you are not just a # to them), after a few visits probably will remember you by name, they will actually LOOK YOU IN THE EYES AND LISTEN!!!! wooooow. And finally, if they can prescribe something like say, a VITAMIN over a liver & kidney destroying drug, they will. Seriously, I'll give anyone 10 dollars for each time they get their own Dr. to say "Vitamin". They don't, they won't......Vitamins don't buy the nice cars in the parking lot. Came in with an ear infection that was hurting very badly from the night prior. My regular, primary care physician was closed since it was after normal business hours. I was desperate for some relief and ran in right off of the train after work. The place was empty (wonder why?) I was seen by Mirela Carnaru, and honestly I've never met or spoken to a colder doctor in my entire life. First, I caught her googling my symptoms as I sat down in her office, as if she had no idea what an ear infection was. Looking at case studies, she said "I'm not looking at this for you, I'm looking at this for me." OK?! Last time I checked I was the one with the throbbing ear. Next, she felt around my neck, asking me if different places hurt. When I said no, she exclaimed "well you tell me nothing hurts, what do you want me to do?" I said "my EAR hurts, when you touch my EAR it hurts." She then proceeded to press on my ear as if she didn't believe me. It hurt and I was disgusted to say the least. She looked in both ears only, didn't bother checking my throat or nose for congestion. She said my throbbing ear was "a little bit red" and then asked me if I was pregnant about 5 times (How many times does a person have to say no?!) The entire time I felt as if she didn't believe that I had an ear ache. I asked her what type of ear infection it was (middle? outter?) and she avoided the question. She refused to give me drops because she said "drops are useless", gave me low mg antibiotics (which I feel she gave to shut me up) and sent me on my way. *3 days later* my ear is swelling, I can barely hear out of it, it hurts when I swallow, my throat is sore and I can't chew any food. I decide to see the ENT a few blocks away, since by now I've been calling out of work because I am in serious pain and have all the time in the world. I find out from the ENT doctor that 1. the antibiotics Mirela gave me aren't good for the type of infection I have 2. Antibiotic drops ARE THE BEST THING you can give a patient with this type of ear infection. Moral of the story: Do not go here and if you do go here, DO NOT go to this doctor. She will brush you off and make you feel less than, instead of helping you the best she can. Cold, rude, not knowledgeable at all. read more
