She is very patient with me (I don't know anything about hair styling and prefer less maintenance!) and she answers all of my questions honestly. She also contacts me about earlier openings, which is something I personally appreciate. She is just super friendly and knowledgeable!

The second time I came for a haircut which is listed on her website at $40. I asked if she could use purple shampoo because I'm a blonde and she said no- she needed it for other clients. She charged me $55 for the haircut. A little communication can go a long way and due to her poor people skills I will not see her again. We didn't "discuss" anything about my hair color I asked for foil highlights she did a balayage no foil. There was no consultation she just started doing what she wanted. My hair is one inch past my shoulders, if you want to charge me extra because it's "so long and thick" that's no problem but you should definitely inform your client before the service that you are charging them so much extra. Any other salon I've been to has always offered purple shampoo when washing a blonde, I didn't want to change my tone, I understand what a toner does,I have always been offered purple shampoo when having my hair washed professionally.

When I walk through the doors I feel like I'm home with the most luxurious salon experience. I really debated whether to leave this review because I want to make it very clear that I do not…read moreblame my stylist, Jenay, for what happened. She did a beautiful job on my hair, was extremely apologetic about the situation, and I genuinely enjoyed my experience with her personally. My disappointment is with how the situation was handled by the salon as a business. At my previous appointments, I was told by someone at the salon that I could park in the lot across the street. Because the salon itself has VERY limited parking, I returned for this appointment under the impression that I could park in the same place. No one told me when I arrived that this had changed, despite the fact that I was greeted by the salon owner when I walked in. While my hair was processing, the subject of my car came up and Jenay realized I had parked across the street. She immediately suggested that I check on it. When I went outside, my car was already gone. It had been towed. I later learned that there is apparently an ongoing parking dispute involving the salon and the management of the property across the street. Knowing that this was an existing issue and that customers had previously been told they could park there, I really feel there should have been a clear system in place to warn clients. A sign on the salon door, an automated text message or notice in appointment confirmations, or simply asking clients where they parked as they show up, could potentially prevent this from happening to someone else. The towing bill was originally approximately $350. Thankfully, because my father is a veteran, he was able to get the cost reduced to approximately $250-$260. What upset me almost as much as the financial loss was the way the situation was handled afterward. Jenay was incredibly apologetic and clearly felt terrible. The owner was also made aware of what had happened while I was still sitting in the salon, but she never came over to acknowledge what happened, apologize, ask whether I was okay, or speak to me about it at all. The only thing I was ultimately offered was a complimentary blowout at a future appointment, which was offered by Jenay herself. I appreciate that something was offered, but considering the circumstances and the significant unexpected expense, I don't feel that was a particularly meaningful resolution. Times are pretty difficult financially for a lot of people. I'm a single mom, and an unexpected $250+ expense is quite a financial blow for me. What made the experience particularly upsetting was feeling as though the situation and the financial consequence that landed entirely on me, was simply brushed aside. Again, I do not blame Jenay. She was kind, apologetic, and did beautiful work on my hair. Mistakes and miscommunications happen. My disappointment is with the lack of a system to communicate a known parking problem to clients and, especially, the lack of communication, empathy, and customer service from management after the situation occurred. I also want to add that this was not my first time supporting this salon. I previously spent approximately $300 on a coloring service and another $300 on a keratin treatment, in addition to the $100 I spent at this most recent appointment... roughly $700 altogether. I genuinely enjoyed my interactions with Jenay and had every intention of continuing to come back. That's part of why this experience was so disappointing. After giving the salon a significant amount of business, having an unexpected $250 towing expense arise from a parking situation I had previously been told was okay and then receiving no acknowledgment or apology whatsoever from the owner, left me feeling like my business simply wasn't valued. I sincerely hope the salon puts something in place so another client doesn't have the same experience. UPDATE: After posting this review, the owner contacted me to discuss the situation. Jenay also reached out, sincerely apologized again, and refunded the full $100 for my most recent service. I greatly appreciate Jenay doing what she could to help make things right.

Let me start by saying my nails did come out amazing. I came in with a picture and my tech was able…read moreto match it perfectly. I got a ton of compliments, but because of my experience, wouldn't recommend. I made an appointment online for early on a Saturday afternoon because I had to work that evening. I got a text that morning asking if I would be willing to push my appointment back. I immediately responded saying that wouldn't work because I had to work that evening, and didn't get an initial response. I called later in the day to confirm, and we came to an agreement of a later time, but not as late as initially suggested. (My appointment was for 1, and we agreed on 1:30 vs 2 pm) When I arrived, the tech let me know she was finishing up with her previous client, no big deal. I sat and just scrolled social media to kill time. When my tech finished, instead of taking me, her and the rest of the staff began taking promo pictures and a short commercial for the shop. I can respect that this is a business and there is a need for advertising and getting the name out there. I just don't understand why it needed to happen mid Saturday afternoon with booked appointments waiting. I finally got into the chair around 230. And while my tech was super apologetic, she also let me know there was no way she could finish the design before I needed to leave for work. She did apply the tips and acrylic, and shaped the nails. And we agreed that I could come back later (after my shift) to complete the look. When I called and texted on my lunch break I got no response, and the shop was closed when I left work. Early the next morning I got an apology from the tech with an explanation, and a promise to finish the look that afternoon. I returned to the shop around 130, and waited alone in the parking lot until 2:30 when she finally showed. Even though we had agreed on 1:30pm. She finished the set almost 3 hours later. And again let me reiterate, the set looked beautiful. I was getting them done for a vacation and they were perfect. I'm not at all criticizing the skill of these techs, because they are spot on. I just wished I would have been serviced better. While the tech was very sincere and apologetic about the entire experience, it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

I got a full set that is EVEN, BEAUTIFUL, and PERFECT. There literally perfect in every way. I also got their deluxe pedicure and it is way worth the price. It was the best pedicure I've ever had. Everyone is super nice. These ladies are up to date on trends and techniques. Go here! Long story: I went to my regular place after being in quarantine, I made the apt and still had a long wait. I got a pedicure and they just scrubbed my feet, cut my already cut nails. then painted my toes. Awful for the price, I then got a full set. I told the tech (who I've been seeing for over a year now) I didn't want the color on my toes on my hands and she still did it I told her 6 times at least no, she told me don't worry I'll love it. Color I can get past but the nails were all different lengths and crooked. Next day I called here they got me in same day due to a cancellation. I sat with JaneyLiz she tried to save the nails at first, she measured them out (I've never seen anyone in Middletown measure their nails!) they were 3 different lengths, and they were so crooked it wasn't worth saving. I also want to note the steps there taking for covid in the shop are so above and beyond. She started soaking my hands and I asked for a deluxe pedicure so we went to start that. It was the best pedicure I've ever had, it was relaxing and everything felt and smelt amazing. I usually walk out of pedicures disappointed but my feet are super smooth and it's not just the amount of lotion they put on like at other places. She ever joked around about using the toe color on my hands since I mentioned what happened. After the pedicure she started my nails I gave her free reign with the only guideline that it was summery. She delivered. My nails look amazing and I'm glad I went here and will never go anywhere else! At my last place I'd ask for something and be told no, or that they can't, or that they don't have what they need for that, not here. They know what there doing! I initially was hesitant to go here based off the yelp reviews specially that if your not a 'friend' of one of the girls you won't fit in, but that's not the case or at least I didn't feel that way. JaneyLiz made great conversation with me, and at one point I was talking to the other tech as well, and the one tech made sure I was comfortable and having a great pedicure. When I went to pay I was also told I have 2 weeks to go back if there's any breaks or chips, you don't get people who stand behind there work like that anywhere else!
