The pedicure room was by itself (not out in the open like at a regular salon). It was private, smelled good, and the cute blue velvet chair with pillows was so comfortable!! She took her time, and we talked the WHOLE entire time. She made sure to ask if everything was ok several times during the process. Sabrina educated me on so many things about "regular" nail salons hence the reason why I will never go back to a regular salon. I couldn't get my nails done bc of a bad experience at another "regular" nail salon, but I will be back asap to get my nails and toes done there. Felicia, the owner also made sure I was ok during the appointment. She came in the room to make sure everything was going ok and asked if I needed a snack during the pedicure. Many use the cheapest and unsafe products to save a buck. I've know people who have gotten nail or fungal infections from dirty nail salons. Safe to say I have major trust issues with NY area nail salons. I did my own mani and pedi for 17 years! I was glad when my friend referred me to Gigi. The first time I had an appointment I was impressed. She had an actual dust machine that prevented all the acrylic dust from flying into the air (SAFETY FIRST). Her demeanor was extremely professional and pleasant. I love the fact that she always practices very sanitary methods and is punctual about keeping clients on time. I always get numerous compliments about my nails from strangers after each manicure. I never have the same look when it comes to my nails and I'm very adventurous when it comes to trying new styles. Gigi is able to give me the latest trends and looks without any hesitations. Her creativity, continuous education in cosmetology and superb client hospitality are amazing. Also her prices are affordable and the salon is exquisite. I don't trust anyone with my nails. I've had nails stay on for 6 weeks because she is great at applying the product to my nails. I always get asked by people who did my nails; I've referred many of my sisters and friends to her. I'm so happy that I found her. She really is the best nail technician!

They stared at us for a bit and suddenly I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there. It took them a minute to gather their unruly pet and finally ask us what we wanted. I asked for two gel manis and pedis. As the pedicurist walked me over to the massage chair, the dog was literally sniffing my butt while they asked me if I was sure about a gel pedicure 3 times. They stated that gel is more expensive as if I couldn't see the price list...I told them I was sure and that I can pay the $84. Anyway, the mani/pedi itself was pretty mediocre. They were petting and consoling the dog (!!!) mid service. Sometimes not washing their hands after. I asked for square toe and it ended up having rounded edges. My manicure is bumpy. I paid, tipped and told myself to never cheat on my OG pedicure girl ever again. The only positives were that it's local, the service was quick and the foot massage was good.

CONS The nail-salon smell started bothering me after a few minutes. The nail shaping was good, but the polish didn't cover the entire nail. The price of the basic manicure was great at $12, but it was definitely basic. There was no wash or pre-soak to start with, cleaning under nails, cuticle trim etc. I did receive a nail trim, file, cuticle push-back and polish. I will try another nail salon in the area next time.
