I've waited far too long to post a review for this doctor because I visited Dr. Urteaga for the first time about 6 years ago...I won't bore you with the old news so, let's flash forward to the present... First off, Dr. Urteaga cares so much for his patients. He holds his consultations with a series of questions to pin point what the possible issues could be. He carefully goes over his plan of action for you & executes that plan every step of the way. He is extremely professional, courteous, kind, friendly, and funny! He has always helped me understand what exactly was going on with anything I came in for. He is always so informative and extremely knowledgeable. The most important thing to remember is that if you don't do all the at home exercises he recommends along with the in-clinic treatments, you won't really see a dramatic difference to the pain or discomfort you have. I am GUILTY of this big time. I recently had a pulled chest muscle that became extremely uncomfortable. I kept thinking that something was wrong with my heart and would always come in crying to him. Dr. Urteaga did some treatments and gave me some exercises to do at home. But, did I do them on the regular at first? Nope. Sure, I felt great after treatment for a few days, but the discomfort would always come back. That was of course until I started to do the exercises he gave me at home. BIG DIFFERENCE! Combination of both has been so amazing! I hardly even feel my chest discomfort anymore. Injuries take time and patience to treat. It's an effort that needs to be given on both ends with doctor and patient. You can't expect to walk in and magically be pain free without taking initiative to whats necessary to get better outside of the office. Moral of the story, you have to follow the advice and guidelines he gives you. It's obviously for a reason. I don't ever have to look further. I know that I will continue to be in great hands with Dr. Urteaga. I am so lucky to have a wonderful chiropractor. I don't know what I would do without him! (Probably be broken in a million pieces thinking I'm having a heart attack of some sort...) If I could give him a million stars, I would! read more

I went in about 2 months ago to start my treatment after a car accident I had and from the very start the entire stat was extremely helpful. They were all very professional and any needs I had they would accommodate me. Dr. Urteaga has a lot of knowledge in what he does and always made me feel extremely comfortable. Crystal which was the person who provided massages was also super sweet and did a great job in every service she gave me. When I ended my treatment they took care of everything for me as far as paperwork and treatments. In the end all I ever had to do was show up to all my appointments. I wish I would of gotten the names of all the staff members because they were all great to me and my son while he went there as well but unfortunately I can't remember all them. This place Is clean, the staff is professional, super helpful, honest and the Doctor knew what he was doing. I walked out of there feeling brand new every time. Had the best experience at Urtega chiropractic. I was helped by Dr. Rames . Very nice and professional. I slept wrong, I was stressed, and I work at an office all day with a landline phone I have to hold with my shoulder pressed to my ear. All that factored into having awful neck pain and it got to the point where I could not turn to the left. I was able to get a same day appointment. I was evaluated and then the treatment started. I received non invasive shock therapy, then a mini massage to relieve the pain, and then adjusted. I really knew I was with a professional, because when he first tried to crack my neck it did not go, then he tried another angle and it worked. I was happy he didn't just give up. I was really happy. I was sore that night and had trouble sleeping, but the next day I was a lot better. It's been a week now and I feel back to normal. Thank God. I do want to say everything he did was explained to me before he did anything and I really appreciated that. I went on a Friday and they had a student/intern adjust me without any supervision. They didn't even warm me up by putting any heat pads. Sure enough they charged my insurance full price for having a student work on me. I didn't sign a liability form to have a student work on me. He was clearly clueless - I also told him not to touch my neck and he adjusted my neck anyways. It has been less than a week and it has been nothing but agony. I went because my lower left back was sore and I walked out with my upper back killing me - especially on the right upper side. I go in for a lower left back adjustment and now my upper right back hurts, how does that happen. Even my right hip feels out of place. Not to mention my neck is still sore. My right arm feels numb at times and my shoulder as well. They didn't offer a refund or anything. I have a follow up scheduled to see if they can fix this because I feel like a shell of who I was when I walked in. Constant pain for 5 days that I did not have. Upset would be an understatement. I should've gone with my gut and left - I told myself what's the worst that could happen and the worst happened. read more
