This review is only for the masseuse I booked for 60 minutes after my chiropractor. Her overall performance was ok. The reason for the 2 star instead of a 3 is the massage didn't go for 60. It was more like 45/50 minutes. I walked out, used the restroom, looked at the time and it definitely wasn't the time she started to work on me. Even if you count for the time I was laying there waiting for her for several minutes in the beginning and our introduction. Not 60 minutes. read more

I'm really disappointed in my return visit, and I feel others should have a heads up so that their time isn't wasted as well. I called my insurance company and got a list of chiro offices in my area. I found Urteaga chiro on my list as an in network doctor. I was on the fence about returning because we used to visit this office some years prior, but i really needed an adjustment. I scheduled an appointment for both myself and my husband. On the call, I offered to give the receptionist our insurance info in advance. However, she told me that they would get it off of my new patient forms. I filled out my forms that same day and sent them in. The day of our appointment, we still arrived a few minutes early just in case I missed something. My appointment was supposed to begin at 12:45 but 12:45 came and went and i wasn't called in. We sat for about 25 minutes before I was called to the front, where the receptionist proceeded to tell me they just went out of network with our insurance so the visit wouldn't be covered. I was shocked because I had just got the info from my insurance, and they were listed. The receptionist stated that it usually takes a while for the insurance company to update their listing but that they wouldn't be able to bill our insurance. We both decided to leave and not proceed with the appointment. I seriously have no problem with a doctor who decides to leave an insurance network due to a bad contract, fees etc. What I do have a problem with is not notifying your patients in advance and wasting their time. If you leave an insurance network, have some organization in place so that something like this doesn't have to happen. I'm sure it was also a waste of their time as they just lost 2 patients on their schedule for that day. All in all, if my insurance did change and we did have the opportunity to return, I wouldn't. read more

Dr. Urteaga, Maricela and the rest of the staff helped bring the mobility and range of motion back in my right shoulder. The clinic is super clean. The ambience and atmosphere is so relaxing. Every detail that has been put to place patients at ease, is very thoughtful. Everytime I lay on the table for treatments, I am at ease that it's been disinfected and cleaned beforehand. I do not really do reviews, I don't even know why this office got 5 stars!! I went here on Tuesday, was looking forward to my visit but it wasn't great!!! I got here late because they do noy have a sign outside or the trees are blocking them, they should put it on their website it is located in medical building!! Anyways, 1st: I REFUSED to get my weight apparently the person who was getting my vitals insisted,, when someone refused it, you DO NOT FORCE them, this simple weighing scale can make someone's low esteem worse, I told her I can give you my weight and height but straight out said No we have to get it!!! Learn how to listen to your patient! 2nd: "Student" came in to get the reason why I was there, when he was done he told me he will tell Dr. Lorenzo know, I asked him are they gonna get me adjusted or not, the student said "maybe not" and when my eyes got big he immediately said maybe not or maybe yes!!!! This Student came back in my room and put the E-stem on me, that e-stem should be on for a good 10 minutes, 7 minutes have passed he came back in the room and removed it and said they told me you are also scheduled for a massage, our massage closed at 6Pm, it was already 5:30 and they were rushing me!!!! Worse part the "Student" was the one Adjusted my back with NO SUPERVISION!!!!! That Dr. Lorenzo never showed his face in my room nor he NEVER SUPERVISED the student!!!!!! If you are in a rush!! You should've offered me to re-schedule my appointment!!!! Going here was not - NOT WORTH IT!! I have been to a chiro before they have this fancy massge bed and they put hot towels on your back, other chiro adjust you properly! This office is a NO!! I regret referring this to some friends!! Even them said their experience WASN't great!!!!! I scheduled my appointment here in hopes they can helped me with my headache and back pain as per their website it says specializing in back and headache!!! Very UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Rushing your patient who already paid because your massage closes at 6 is unacceptable!!!!! When your patient is already in the room and getting treatment YOU DO NOT RUSH THEM AND REMOVE E-STEM because your massage office closes at 6!!!!!!!! You finish the treatment you are doing and let your staff know until that patient is done with their treatment!!!! I never called her.. what you stated i called her. And i didnt tell them to call my insurance for my medical history. Maybe you should get both sides of the story before attacking me as well and stating things that i never said when you did not participate in the conversation. They didnt have my new information. They had my OLD insurance.. and yes it is up to your staff to ask patient.. from what im used to... " has your insurance changed? Has your contact info changed?" .. i dont keep track of what every provider has an update of, its standard in practices that the staff make sure they have updated info.. its part of their job. Maybe you need to get all the facts before automatically taking your staffs side. I would never ask your staff to obtain my medical information .. because my insurance doesnt have it and 2 it makes no sense for them to do so for chiropractic services.. medical history doesnt come from insurance companies, which futher supports that your staff is not being truthful and 2, that they are not trained enough. They were charging me for things on an OLD INSURANCE that is NO LONGER ACTIVE and they were telling me they CHECKED. Which they didnt because if they did the SYSTEM wouldve told them its INACTIVE and they wouldve asked me for updated insurance. I didnt accuse them of unfounded anything. I accused them of not being thorough because they were too busy gossiping at the front desk. But its just as Erin bragged on the phone, no matter what i say, you would take her side regardless. Which is fine, there are other facilities i can go to, you may run your practice as you wish but AS A PATIENT i am entitled to ADVOCATE for myself if my insurance and being charged is incorrect. This place is great have been seeing Dr Manuel for many years and he always knows how to "crack" me up . Hes an amazing Dr with very good skills and very knowledgeable of what he is doing. Come in with low back pain and most recently with sciatica pain, its a horrible feeling having this pain but i know Dr Manuel and his staff will fix me right up and they do, almost feel like i can do cartwheels after, but ill just leave it to professional tumblers. There are no words to describe how amazing this place is. I walked in barely able to even walk let alone even sit down. When I would stand up I felt like my lower spine was about to break and I felt like I was about to become paralyzed. When I described the pain to the front receptionist and the doctor they immediately comforted me and told me that everything will be OK that I am in good hands. I decided to try the chiropractic side of this facility and it was one of the best decisions I ever made because the doctor had me walk out being able to walk and sit down without any pain. Oh my, what a "FIND". My wife and I are in our 80's, and never been to a Chiropractor: depending on Medical Doctors and Physical Therapists. Following a fall down a flight of stairs, resulting in a compound arm fracture, my wife developed neck and shoulder pain four months later. Medical Neck Injections and PT were useless. In desperation we decided to try a Chiropractor. Long story short, my wife could not walk into the appointment without assistance, but walked out as normal as rain, with only slight soreness near her neck. The difference between this morning at PT, and the Chiropractor this afternoon was like NIGHT & DAY. We will follow-up next week, but our First Experience was Impressive. Went here a year or two ago and had great service. They called me a few months ago saying I had a free massage available with my insurance, so i made an appointment for it. When I came for the appointment- they informed me that i would have to actually pay for a few sessions before i would get a free massage - AND i was charged a cancellation fee. Please don't call your patients and tell them they have something free but then not tell them they have to pay when they get to the appointment. Left feeling frustrated. read more
