I don't know what people expect when they come here. It's literally a restaurant supply store. Why wouldn't you give it five stars you get stuff that cost $15 in the grocery store you get twice as much and it's five dollars and you can get the giant jars of stuff I mean who can beat a 2 gallon jug of green olives for like $12 I don't know why people hate on this place. Visited yesterday, August 2021. Under new ownership the place looks like it is going out of business. Many shelves and freezers were empty or poorly stocked and maintained. Several of the cheeses were at or beyond "best by" dates. The vegetable cooler was so empty that there was no need to even walk in. The area where the previously stocked potatoes, fruit, tomatoes, etc. was essentially empty. And none of the people that worked there before were to be seen. Am I the only person that feels trapped in my house/yard by Covid? I go out and traffic is still heavy and people are everywhere so obviously I'm pretty alone in my self isolation. This store has been one of my major grocery stores during Covid. I go into the office once a week to a mostly empty building and afterwards to what I will always think of as Cash N Carry. It's just blocks away, so once a week I make a stop there and stock up. Really, if you are looking for great deals and quality on meats, cheeses, dairy, veg, fruits - both frozen and fresh, desserts and so much more, this is a perfect place to go. I miss civilization and can't wait for that shot in the arm so I can freely wander again but at least I have my weekly shopping trip to Cas.. I mean US Foods CHEF'STORE. ... What a horrible name. I love Cash and Carry. Yes, I love Costco, too, but this store has many items that even the Business Costco does not have. Here is a perfect example: Puff Pastry! No, we are not talking about those little boxes for $5 bucks on sale, we are talking nine full sheets of gorgeous, frozen puff pastry for less than $30.00. Yep. 15 lbs of puff pastry that bakes beautifully! And, it keeps in the freezer! Hurray! Their service is great, by the by, on the phone or in person! And their selection (and price) of cups and such for a big "to-do" is the best in the area, bar none. Oh, and those little teeny-tiny individual cheesecakes...amazing! It is called cash and carry for a reason... bring cash. Shopped here when i catered a wedding for a friend. Very good prices for bulk items. If you like costco then go here, although its catered a little more to the restaurant/catering industry, whereas at costco you can buy meds, jewelry, electronics, ect. All in all a pretty good place to visit, just to see whet its like. Its a little off the beaten path of 99, and a little easy to miss, there are trees surrounding it. read more

Cash & Carry started off as a wholesale, only grocer. I used to run there for cigarettes, candy and pop for a gas station I worked at in Olympia, many years ago, just after we stopped living in caves. Then, you had to have a State or WA resale certificate or equivalent before you ventured anywhere near the door. Now they let ANYBODY shop there. But they do give me special tax breaks when I show them my membership card - (they don't charge me tax on the stuff I am going to sell and charge tax on.) So if you have a business, it is still a membership store, if you don't just throw money at them, they love your money. They HATE shopping carts, plan on pulling a flat bed cart around the store (don't try pushing it, they don't push.) They have a large variety of restaurant type food and supplies. Everything you could ever imagine, well unless your pizza places sells small (10") and large (14") pizza, they only carry medium (12") and jumbo (15") crusts. Their frozen selection boggles the mind! And a lot of their food is far superior to what you can find in the regualr grocery stores. I go there to buy the stuff that I can't get, is cheaper than or I don't need a whole case of, after I shop at the Costco Business center. Like Costco, they deal in QUANTITIES, so unless you are after 1 cookie (they do sell those by the each), don't go there to buy just 1 of anything. Some of their prices are less than Costco, some are more. If you are feeding a crowd, it would pay to pre-shop both then split your purchase between both stores. This is one of the smaller Cash & Carry. This means they carry the same stuff as, say, the Bellevue store, just less of it. They have the same annoying habit as Costco, they are not consistent in stocking items, you may have to go back next week, but unlike Costco, it will be in the same place next week. Also, like Costco, just when you get used to a certain item, they will either change brands or discontinue it. They get 3 stars for price, should have 4 or 5 for variety, and 2 for keeping stuff you need in stock. read more

I've recently started shopping here to get good deals on bulk greens for my smoothies. I'd previously never been to this location and only been to the Everett location a handful of times. I do see that most of these products are probably too much for my individual needs but it is still nice to browse. I've seen a lot of things that I hope to try one day in the future, I currently have my eye on the frozen avocado halves. I don't have a Costco membership so this seems like a reasonable less hassle alternative. I do like that the parking lot is not nearly as crazy, although the line can still be long and I do often feel like I am in danger of getting run down by the carts. I'd definitely shop here more frequently if I owned a business, but its easy enough to stop off here to pick up an item or two. read more

THE place to buy in bulk if you don't have a Costco membership. Also, they stock restaurant supplies that you can't find elsewhere without buying cases, such as condiment cups with lids (the perfect container for Jello Shots, btw). Don't bother asking for help; the clerks who speak andy English will ignore you until you wave in their face, then they will yell at you for "being dumb". Also, they like to pass judgement on what you are buying, but feel free to ignore their looks of shock and awe when you purchase a gallon of hot chilie sauce. I like the place and have never had any problems with the staff there. I particularly like their bags of Broccoli and shredded cheese. These are a life saver when I am needing to whip up a dinner quick. We also buy out popcorn there. $4 for a big bag of popcorn that lasts us months is a great deal! read more

This is the place. It's not as huge as the "other" big store but convenient enough to get a hold of stuff. Staff is always helpful. I have top admit, the name is weird. What the heck is a cash and carry? Is it some kind of corporate drug ring? You pay cash, get your drugs, and run? Well maybe not, but it can certainly be off putting to normal consumers. I have to admit though, since I discovered it a few years ago, it's been one of the best discoveries, ever! I went to cash and carry when i was a bartender, I went there when I wanted to throw a party, I went there when when i needed inexpensive but GREAT quality cornish game hens. My husband goes there to buy spices to make rubs, buys st. louis style ribs, and now I go there to get scoops for my food business. WOW. That is versatility - it's almost perfect for every occasion in life, even every day life! The bell peppers are amazing. For the price of a whole bag I would have normally only been able to buy 3 at my local QFC. And the "triple washed" bags of spinach? Great deal! I don't know about you, but the bunches of spinach offered in stores are annoying. I like to sautee mine, and if you've ever done that before you know it shrinks down to almost 1/10 of its uncooked size. The tiny bunches at QFC are for wussies who obviously don't ever want to be strong like Popeye. Oh, and the broccoli is pretty great too. They're "broccoli florets", which just means they're the flowers, so less time trimming them for me (and you now, too!). Plus they're also washed. WOW again! And where else can you buy a huge container of garlic or onion powder without paying a kidney for it? (Hint, if you add starch to something to make it thicker, my recommendation is to use garlic or onion powder instead. More natural and less starchy, and adds flavor). So yeah, Cash and Carry is pretty cool. Bill is pretty funny, and it's too bad that someone had a bad experience because of the parking lot situation (see reviews below). That sucks! I sympathize. Cash & Carry has some unique items. I hate that they don't have NORMAL shopping carts; I refuse to pull those flat beds. I shop here once every few years and then remember what I don't like about it. The carts are humongus and difficult to navigate. Many of the items for sale are just too big for a family, gallons of mayo and ketchup. It seems better suited for restaurant supply than family shopping. That said, some items are attractively priced. You can get a 5 pound block of Tilamook cheddar for $14.78. We would have to slice and freeze part of it but it might be worth the effort. I will give them another try from time to time. read more

They have such amazing deals at Cash and Carry. There is also one in North Everett that isn't on here, but the Lynnwood one is much nicer and more open. It is a great place for TP and paper towels - cheaper than even Costco. I used to go to Costco but then realized that all I really needed was paper products and some bulk veggies for salad and the rest of what i got was crap I didn't need. So with Cash and Carry, I get my paper stuff, maybe a box of cereal and I am done. No extras, no membership - way better bargain than Costco in this economy. read more

I paid my first visit to Cash & Carry recently and was impressed. To a careful comparison price shopper like me, it offered some great bargains, even better than Costco on a number of items. It also has a much better variety of dried beans and rices than Costco, if you're building longer-term food storage. Kosher salt was 25% of the grocery store price! Other excellent deals were ethnic items (canned green chilies, hot sauces, hoisin sauce, etc.), condiments (mustard, horseradish), pasta, grated cheeses, tofu, and many other items. Many of these are in normal sizes. Some of the products are in bulk sizes, but if you like fettucine and have a bit of pantry or storage space, why not buy it in a 4 lb. bag or a 20 lb. box? It keeps for months (actually, years in my experience) and makes a quick and easy meal. Meat prices were great but these are big cryovac bags, so you'd have to cut it up, wrap and freeze. Prices on produce were also excellent, but again, these are the 10-20 lb. bags of onions, potatoes, etc., and a limited selection We find these keep just fine for about a month, stored apart from each other, dry and the potatoes protected from light, so the quantities work fine for me. Cash & Carry has a website offering their Hot Deals, and the prices on these truly are exceptional, although again, some won't be suitable to the individual purchaser. Definitely worth checking out! On my one trip so far, parking is much easier than Costco, check-out is faster and friendly. The only demerit is that it is a pain negotiating the flat-bed around the store; shopping carts would be nice. read more

Customer service is an afterthought and one star is being very generous. Shop here only if you feel like rolling the dice and have time to kill. Have gone a few times to the Bellevue store without any issue but last week will be my last adventure at this store. Lines back up frequently but the staff doesn't seem to be able to handle it when it happens. They then yell at anyone that appears to cut in their imaginary single file line. Staff a few feet away must be paged each time to help out and when they are, show no enthusiasm as if it's beneath them. Awesome. I'd rather brave the crowds at Costco then give any more money here. read more

Cash & Carry is a nice store for buying a lot of stuff for your small restaurant, concessions stand, busy kitchen, etc. Keep in mind that while you'll find some great deals their product selection isn't even a fraction of Costco. My family has a list of things they like to get here to save money but it's not for one stop shopping. With gas costs raising it might not be economic to go there to save money on a carton or two of Half and Half and some cheese. read more

Land of the Free, or so we think. Most people I know often meet up at well know locations, but don't do it here unless your white. Yes I know its private property but you could clearly tell there was more eating at the branch Manager than just my presence at his stores parking lot (I was in a regular car, wasn't pimped out or was my music on). Being a minority you can always see it coming when its overt/blatant. So I moved my car over to the lot across the street. That's wasn't enough, he followed me there. "You need you to get the hell out of here." I asked if he had written my plates down or if he wanted my I-D to feel safer. He said he didn't want it but that he had taken a picture of the plates. "Leave or I will call the cops, this too is private property." I apologized for being born black and left. May be one day, we will all get along. All we got is hope. read more

I read a few of the other reviews, not sure where you folks shopped, but the staff at this location are exceptional. Granted I have only worked in the food industry for 37 years, so maybe you have better insight into service or perhaps you simply channeled your bad day into a negative review. At first I thought it was simply an anomaly that I received such personalized service (noticing the strawberry puree was sticky and grabbing a box for me), but after countless visits, I realized that you are training your staff to be so darn nice. In Edmonds, Sons of Norway puts on three pancake breakfasts every year. We buy all of our food, about $800 each event, at Cash and Carry, Lynnwood. The parking is convenient, the emplyees are informed and helpful and we fully load two flat-bed carts each time. I can also call ahead and they will set aside certain bulk items we need that may otherwise not be in stock. read more
