The Dollar Tree on Highway 99 in Edmonds by Safeway was a busy place when I visited yesterday evening, Friday 10 May 2024. The parking strip directly in front of the store was full, so I parked across the main drive past the front of the store. Depending on what one was looking for, some of the offerings were picked over and some were full. A worker was filling balloons (some Mother's Day related) later as I was waiting in line. I was looking for a few sweet treats for my mom as well as a Mother's Day card and a birthday card for her. The cards were varied in tone and style and I found one for each occasion that I decided to go with. For sweet treats, I found a couple of items rhyming with the tastes my mom likes. Check out had a longer line and one register was open. While waiting a second register opened up, then the first one started having problems. Even with the few registers and number of customers, the line moved quick and the wait was not too long. read more

This place is a shit show! There were probably 15 employees working, putting stock away and blocking the aisles. But when you go to check out there is ONE cashier!!! The lady in front of me decided to keep shopping while she was being checked out, so it was taking a bit. Meanwhile, an employee needed to check out so another employee came up to check her out. Thinking she was open, I went next door to her line. To which she told me lane 4 ma'am. I tried to tell her I had been waiting and she very rudely said "Sorry!!" And closed her checkstand! On a good note, she saved me about 50 dollars, haha! I would skip this trashy place if I were you! There are way too many places to shop to be treated like this. It meets the need. The shelves are always well stocked and the store is well kept. Sometimes the lines are crazy long and there is only one register open, but usually another one opens up...eventually. You could wander forever trying to find something on your own, because it's not likely you'll find someone to help you out. It's a decent store as far as dollar stores go. The parking lot can be a wild ride, but that's not the store's fault. Just be aware. read more

Today I had an amazing experience at this location of the dollar tree. Mike and EJ are an amazing team. They provide excellent customer service to everyone that walks in. I have observed them in action today while waiting for them to free up to blow up balloons for my daughter's 12th birthday. They are amazing!!!!! read more

Compared to the Dollar Tree location that I had just come from in Lynnwood, this one is a gem. It's huge and clean, the employees are friendly and they have such a great section of products. The parking is ample and I don't feel cramped walking inside. I ended up spending more than $44 in this store after having spent $16 at the previous location. I was able to find everything I needed and I'm thinking about going back soon to buy more things. This is now my go-to location. An employee told me that they had just gotten new floors and it really shows. They seem to really care about their customers, because this employee was really nice and friendly. read more

I tend to always go to my local store in Lynnwood. However, it has been quite crazy there lately, so I decided to try a different store. The reviews for this store were higher than most so I decided to give it a shot. I am so glad that I did! Everything is so clean and organized and well stocked. I didn't get overwhelmed, and I felt like I actually had space to move around. The employees are super kind and have a great sense of humor. I will definitely be making the little bit of an extra trip to come to the store from now on. There is so much more to choose from here than any other dollar tree closer to me. read more

This is quite the favorable location to a degree if it wasn't for the slanted isles and only one staff member working a checkout lane. But also if you need help getting help to finding what you need it's not likely here. Just being honest since this location hasn't been reviewed in years. I'd recommend other locations since my theory as to why they get items later than the other locations is evident by these pictures but here I don't mean to give off a bad vibe from a business just consider going to a different one . The cashier was friendly and approachable but if this store had a better selection and an employee designated to helping customers, they would've had four stars and that goes along with the cleanliness of the isles. read more

Came in to buy some random stuff for a party and for the house. I like The Dollar Tree for the things that can all be bought for $1 for one-time use or things like hand soap that are always cheaper than party supply stores and even the grocery store. 5 stars for the inventory but 3 stars overall due to the mess, having one register open when busy and not having the best quality items. But, it is a dollar store, so I can't complain. It's great for what it is. The cashier was over eager to be nice to us and made us laugh as a result. They have school supplies out now and a lot of toys. Large shared parking lot in the strip mall for free. read more

Going to the dollar store is like going on a scavenger hunt because it's filled with a whole bunch of random stuff. The Dollar Tree is on top my list of must visit stores when I'm down to my last $10 dollars and need to find a birthday gift or score some frozen tater tots for dinner. This place is clean, well organized and super stocked full of merchandise. If you're in need supplies for camping or a summer BBQ, this is a must stop on your shopping list. However, let me warn you, don't expect to pay a dollar at the dollar store because you'll still have to pay for tax. When I go to dollar store, I go for the basics - shower curtain, Kleenex, bleach, towlet bowl cleaner, thank you cards, and plastic baggies. Where if I went to Fred Meyers, I'd spend $30, here I spent $8. They had brand name bleach and Scotts Kleenex. What a treasure trove. I also picked up these sweet little thank you notes for a buck! Gotta be kidding me. What I think is far more impressive, however, is the service I received from Aaron. Truthfully I was being followed around a little by a creep in the store. He was even hanging around outside when I was ready to leave, and it made me uncomfortable as I was by myself. I asked Aaron to accompany be to the parking lot and he cheerfully walked out with me. What a nice, helpful guy. He didn't need to do that, it goes far beyond his job scope and it made me feel valued as a customer. I really appreciate this simple gesture. Dudes! I LOVE dollar stores. Love them. I love that I can go in to one and fill a whole basket with shit I don't need and have my total be like... $14. It's amazing! It allows me to go on a wasteful shopping spree without spending a fortune. And who doesn't love all the useless junk I bring home? I mean, besides my roommate. This, my friends, this is the best dollar store ever. It's relatively new (it opened in the last year) so it's fairly clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly and helpful, and they have a good selection of stuff for party/gift giving. NOT that I give gifts from the dollar store, but the card and gift-bag section is awesome, and of course, they're a dollar instead of the $5 you pay for a gift bag at another store (can you say rape?) If you're planning a fun holiday party and need cheap decorations this is a great place to get them. RIght now they have a buttload of Hawaiian and Tiki-themed stuff. I like this place when I need something quick and the selections and variations are plentiful with what I need. However, an employee takes a break on the store floor and actually lies down against the window, while the one cashier had a long line to go through. I know it's a dollar store, but soooo unprofessional. If she was going to take a break and LIE down, go to the back room! We as guests know you're on break, but don't make it obvious. read more

This is an awesome dollar store! Super shiny and clean, decently friendly employees, and excellent organization. They have a wide variety of items to choose from and I can wander this place for a long time just looking at everything. The best area is probably the seasonal or the party/gift area. They have a TON of gift items - wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, cards, etc. This is definitely the place to stock up on that sort of thing for cheap! Bonus: this place is literally a two minute or less drive from my apartment. If I need something quick, I'm there and home in less than 10 minutes. read more

So normally, I would give this Dollar Tree in Edmonds a good rating because I shop their off and on as a teacher for school supplies and generally it is a pleasant experience; however, this past Friday, on November 19th, I was in the store in the early morning about 8:30 a.m. and there was such offensive music playing that I didn't stay long. It was VERY loud, Acid Rock and the words were awful...talking about the Devil and really it was NOT APPROPRIATE at all for anyone who would want to shop there. Especially for kids and their parents. This place is pretty great as dollar stores go! Selection is usually pretty good of a wide variety of misc. random stuff. I often stop in here just to see if there's one thing and end up with a whole host of other stuff. Shaving cream seems great for the money, gift stuff is def a deal, and random other semi-useful stuff if you dig around. I found a bunch of USB-to-microUSB cords to charge/connect my phones to computers (or the iPhone USB plug) and scored with that! This place can also def get a little crazy and people can go wild. I've gotten yelled at by other customers because they thought they deserved to be helped first when I was pulled out of a line to be helped and the crowd was really turning ugly, but that's not the store's fault, eh? When you're hunting for the random, why not give the dollar store a try? I remember in my days, dollar stores were filled with cheesy toys, almost expired candy that tasted... funny... And of course bandanas in ever color imaginable! Wanna start a gang with pink bandanas? Go to a dollar store. But I digress. When it comes to being down to my last few Georges (It's all about the Washington's baby!!) this is my stop. This is a decent dollar store in the Edmonds area. The location is great because it is next to a Safeway and highway 99. This store is also very clean and organized. The staff is very nice as well. I used to work in a dollar store during high school so I know this store doesn't have much choices comparing to most other dollar stores. This store is lacking a lot of seasonal and unique items that a dollar store should have. The store I worked at had a bunch of snacks and food that cater to dollar stores/ vending machines. This is a great store to find a cheap foil pan or gift bag, but don't expect to find any deals. read more

I'm sure the employees in the Dollar Tree get tired of hearing "Is everything in here a dollar? How much is this one?" It's hard to believe but yeah... you can get almost anything in here & save over local grocery & gift store prices. Laundry soap, dishwasher detergent (which is a fortune next door at Safeway), all kinds of cleaning supplies, batteries, vitamins, ibuprofen, bandages, bubble bath, bath pillows, kitchen utensils, household goods, gift wrap balloons & cards... and so on. And the food. OK, so it's not gourmet. But if you're down to your last 5 bucks & just want some hot dogs & fries for dinner, sure enough you can choose from 3 different kinds of hot dogs/sausages in the refrigerated section, then a big bag of frozen french fries or tater tots in the freezer. Grab a bottle of ketchup & some bread & voila. They also quite regularly have 3 packs of frozen chicken thighs, energy drinks, waffles, cereal, pizza, green olives, pepperoni, lunch meat, tons of snackables. My favorite find - good, name brand feta cheese. Still waiting for that one to come back. This store is now a MUST on our list to get anything we can off the top before hitting the regular grocery store. The only negative is that sometimes during peak times, the lines can string halfway down an aisle & the wait can be long. But worth it. My image of the old, worthless dollar store is long gone now that I've shopped here. Note: They accept all kinds of debit & they do take credit, but cannot accept Mastercard credit for purchases under $10. No idea why, just know this in advance if it's your only fundage. read more
