Still plenty of problems but I have to recognize accomplishments when they are made. Maybe now I can get service when calling 911.

I have video evidence, license plate number and home address of the assailant. Even after all this evidence Vallejo PD has done nothing or even attempted to call me back for said evidence. Their negligence alone is a crime in it self. This entire police department should be defunded and any police officer associated with this department should have their badges taken away. After speaking with over 20 different locals it's unanimous across the board that the local law enforcement does absolutely nothing. There is a reason the crime is so high in this city and it's not due to their "lack of availability of officers" it is because of their absolute negligence to crimes and zero show of force. Each and every officer is an absolute disgrace to the badge and I hope each one of them has a home invasion on their homes with their families so they can have just a taste of how the rest of the community feels I will be taking legal recourse on their negligence to crimes I have nothing against police officers just these ones specifically

Rather than call, we live close to this office so we decided to go in person. The security guard was super nice and friendly asking us what we came in to do and if we had an appointment. We did not, so we had to take a number and wait about 20 minutes or so. He was so kind and helpful to all, greeting them ad they walked in, and saying "ok have a great day" as they walked out. The lady that we saw was patient snd explained everything to us. We were only supposed to get one set of pages 1-14 and she entered all the answers into the system that we had already done, and as for what we needed clarification on, she was very helpful and cleared it up. 5 stars for her! She said we should expect to see another set of pages come in the next couple of weeks and if we had more questions to come and see her! A lot of it was repetitive, we had no problem filling it out, but my husband did go in person to turn it in rather than put it in the mail. ( This was right during the primary voting so we didn't want it to be delayed). This is a very long review , but I hope it encourages someone to go in, and get help or clarification on SS paperwork.

Edit: Now they've retaliated by closing my benefitscal account, cancelling my ebt card, and took a long time to process a change that would result in higher benefits. And although I know it's in my file that I use TTY, workers keep spam calling me via voice call, even in response to emails I've sent specifically asking them to use TTY compatible device/service, like it really seems like some sick joke! and I complained about this to the "ADA Facilities and Public Access Coordinator" and all she said was "I am not clear exactly what the problem is at this point" and "I am not clear exactly what this issue is." The *ADA Facilities and Public Access Coordinator* is not clear what the problem is when it's in my records that I use TTY and workers keep calling me via voice, even though they know I use TTY (as they are also responding to emails specifically noting this)?? THEN GET ANOTHER JOB! I'm "not clear" how ANYONE could not understand what the problem is when county workers insist on calling via voice to someone who's noted to use TTY, let alone an ADA officer!

Well, I immediately filed it into the cobwebs of what's left of my brain thinking it would be hidden in my subconscious. Sure enough I was recently driving on Route 37 and decided to stop in Vallejo. I'm not sure why, but I suddenly remembered those stairs were somewhere in town. Found 'em. They're in a relatively inconspicuous spot off the main thoroughfare, Sonoma Blvd. it took local neighborhood activists to get them renovated after they fell into a state of disrepair since the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Inspired by the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps in San Francisco's Inner Sunset (review: https://bit.ly/3rRhxgn), they were able to recruit Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher, the artists behind that masterwork as well as others in the city. Now I know nothing about Vallejo's history, so I couldn't appreciate a lot of the details of the imagery. Starting with the giant compass on top, it's pretty clear there was a lot of shipbuilding and other maritime activities like the ferry service to and from San Francisco. Obviously it's best to appreciate the two flights of stairs up close for all the trivia, but the best vantage point is actually across the street where the stairs look like a cascading waterfall.
