Lovedseat was damaged due to movers. Had to wait another six weeks to get the love seat. Kitchen chairs put together wrong have to come back to use drill to fix them. Had to send one of the table chairs back due to scratches in the seat. They order me a new one six weeks. The nectar bed installed wrong by the movers. Had to call warranty service to order right parts for the bed. They are going to come out and install the parts. Had to call US furniture customer service many of times kept explaining to different people what was going on. They won't answer you in email ever big headache trying to get the furniture fix. Once you buy the furniture they are not inclined to help you as much. Even if they have my couch piece ready I still will have to wait until they have a delivery for my area. I'm not a big review person, but feel the need to write one for this company. We ended up at their Newington showroom on a whim late one night (saw an ad for a couch they had on sale for my boat). While browsing we stumbled onto a large modular sectional that we loved. We needed furniture for an addition on our home and this would fit perfect. We had to get some measurements of the room before we could pull the trigger but after a couple days we came back, figured out our layout and made the purchase. We were given a 4-6 week lead time, however after the purchase we stumbled onto the Yelp and BBB reviews. Oh boy!!! It seemed to be mostly 1 star and lots of complaints of long lead times, damage and getting the run around. We held our breath but began preparing for the worst case scenario. At exactly 5 weeks, we got the call for delivery (7-2 window). Later that day my wife was texted the delivery window is 7-11 and they would call 15 minutes out (which worked perfect for us). This morning they called at 6:45 and were in the driveway at 7 on the dot. The delivery guys had everything wrapped well, in the house within a half an hour, assembled, garbage removed, and even had a few more pillows than we expected to get. Everyone's experience is different, but I did feel the need to post ours, as after the delivery this morning, we are more than pleased with this company. They even threw the black panther statue on the ottoman in my photos because my wife loved it! Here is a detailed timeline of events: * September 1, 2025: I visited the US Furniture store and made a purchase, with delivery promised within two weeks, as verbally confirmed by the salesperson named Tom. I informed Tom that I had recently closed on a new house and that the timing of the delivery was critical in order to coordinate with the moving company. He assured me delivery would not be a problem and wrote it in the notes on the receipt. * September 15, 2025: I called the store to inquire about the delivery date, and the salesperson assured me that they would call me back within 1-2 days to confirm the schedule. I never received any follow-up communication. * September 20, 2025: After not hearing from the store, I visited the store in person to request an update. The salesperson informed me that there would be a further delay of one to two weeks before delivery. He also explained that there was a delay specifically with the two nightstands, which would require a separate delivery, weeks later. This was a significant change from the agreement that was made at the time of purchase. I reminded Tom that I had recently closed on a new house and that the timing of the delivery was critical in order to coordinate with our moving schedule. Despite this, Tom claimed that the furniture was still in the warehouse and there was nothing they could do. I immediately requested a refund due to the breach of contract, but the salesperson declined my request. Instead, Tom suggested I either pay a 30% restocking fee or I could wait weeks for my furniture. After being denied a refund and unwilling to pay a restocking fee for items that have never left the warehouse, I contacted the local police department to file a police report. The responding officer informed me that numerous other consumers had filed similar complaints against US Furniture for deceptive practices related to delivery delays and failed refunds. The officer also mentioned that the merchant banned me from visiting their store and that I should comply with their request otherwise it would be considered trespassing. * December 1, 2025, I had not received any communication from US Furniture regarding the delivery of my furniture. Surprisingly, they never asked me for my new address to attempt delivery to my new home. With no other options, I contacted the local NBC Consumer Investigative Center to assist with my case against US Furniture (Newington). The intent was to bring in the local media to shed light on their deceptive business practices. Everything was delivered, but as they were putting everything together the delivery driver noticed that they didn't bring or received the pieces that is needed to install one of the dresser mirrors. So he said we should call the store and that they will send someone out to install it. Also another dresser drawer was broken and again I'm to call the office and let them know and they will send someone out to get it fix. Then once furniture was delivered, they scraped the ottoman on the ground so I had damaged furniture they tried to send a Taylor to fix it. He attempted to fix it of course he couldn't nor was it fair for me to have to pay for something that was damaged. Needless to say they re-ordered the Ottoman and that took another month didn't receive my Ottoman eighth of January. I spoke to another sale person and she reassured me that she will be taken over and she will follow through to the end. That didn't happen either. U.S. Furniture does very bad business. The furniture is fine, you can get it elsewhere. They will likely give you a better price than another furniture store, but the entire inventory can be ordered from Amazon at a fraction of the cost. Like, less than half in most instances. If you call the store, you will be spoken to very rudely and unprofessionally. If they order something other than what you asked them to order, they will yell at you and tell you that you are lying. Worst customer service I've ever had the misfortune to experience. I did not go to this particular location, but it does not matter. They're grifters that go from one store location to another, scamming people and being deplorable. Avoid, avoid, avoid! They do not have anything exclusive that you can't get from a more dignified and reputable source without having to deal with these people. After that was delivered the guy that showed up said he can't take the boxes n garbage that I paid for them to take cuz it didn't fit in his vehicle.. Then when I picked up the night stand I waited soo long to get n was plain sick of calling for, when I go to pick it up Joseph tells me one of the three handles for the nightstand was damaged or whatever. So now we're one month into waiting for that handle he told me he'd get me next week( 3 weeks ago) I finally call n he says it'll be here next week.. I still do not have this handle.. SMH... Bought my furniture from the newington location on may 30th during the Memorial Day sale. We bought a couch set, dining room table and chairs, and king bedroom set. Joseph was the sales representative and he threw in lamps and area rugs to incentivize the sale. We spent over $7000 on furniture. We received the furniture on august 4th and the couch was completely sunken in after less than a month. When we inquired about the area rugs and lamps Joseph kept giving us a run around about how they were received "broken" and had to be reordered or that he didn't have the rugs selected. I had to send him the rugs I wanted 3 separate times. When asking about a technician to fix the couch which was clearly broken because even the cheapest couches don't sink in after a month, he kept making excuses that the technician wasn't available. Fast forward to now November still nothing. We had to call the store to speak to the manager because clearly joseph was making bogus excuses about what was going on and also had the audacity to have an attitude when we would inquire about all of these issues. We then came to find out that Joseph actually never put in a service order like he said he did because the woman in charge of all of the service orders had zero idea about our issue. When the manager spoke with Joseph he then lied and said that we just recently reached out to him about all of these issues when we had been in contact with him for months and even went into the store to speak to him twice. This place is a joke. Do not buy anything here! They talk a good talk and don't deliver. They bragged about how great they were and we wouldn't get better product or customer service anywhere else. That is a complete lie. We spent $4,000 on 2 recliners and it took 8 months of fighting with them to get the proper ones delivered. They first delivered the incorrect recliner and tried to argue with me that it was my fault even though THEY ordered the wrong one and we paid for the correct one. Then they blamed the factory on why it was taking so long, in the meantime never calling to update us. We had to constantly try to contact them. Joseph, Omar and Aura are very unprofessional. They never return calls and give you the runaround. And the way they speak to you is so unprofessional. After 8 months of this, I told them I wanted a refund and Aura hung up on me. They all call themselves managers and they are never available when you try to call. They finally set up deliver after 8 months with a window from 11-3. They weren't here at 3, so I had to have my husband take time off work to come home because I had to get to a doctor's appointment. They didn't care - made all kinds of excuses. It finally got delivered later that night with no phone call. I am so happy to be done with this company and will warn everyone not to shop there. I don't know how they are still in business. I ordered a bedroom set from their catalog using SYNCHRONY home financing for $2990.50. We agreed on a delivery date and I waited home all day for the delivery to arrive and it never arrived. I called the store the next day to ask what had happened with the delivery. They informed me that a delivery was attempted and no one was home. I told the store salesman I had been waiting at home all day to receive the delivery and that no one had arrived or left an attempted delivery slip. He offered to reschedule the delivery a few days later which also never arrived. I called the store back again to ask why the delivery never arrived. The salesman told me that the delivery was already made and that I should be in receipt of the items. I explained that I never received the items. After a couple back and forth calls with the store, I decided to file a dispute with synchrony home financing. I explained to synchrony home that I never received the items and that the merchant never delivered the furniture as promised because I was home all day on the scheduled delivery dates to receive the delivery. After a 2-year wait for synchrony bank to try to either get me a refund or at the very least deliver the furniture they promised to deliver, I am still without any furniture or a refund. I purchased a mattress from the Manchester store after viewing it on display in the store and was promised delivery in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks it still wasn't delivered, and I insisted the order be canceled. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and in response the manager lied that they haf fully explained to me this mattress they displayed in the store was a special catalog order, which was noncancelable and nonrefundable and that I had signed in agreement to such. US Furniture on the Berlin Turnpike will do and say anything to get a sale and then claim amnesia, change the info on the invoice, and lie about scheduling a delivery. Buyer beware of any cancelation policy including if your item is a special order or catalog item and make sure that is clearly written on your invoice. Customer service is non-existent. If you do need to call the store be patient because most of the time no one answers the phone. If you leave a message with a real person, you won't get a call back either. Had to get a new couch because a family member was having surgery and needed to sleep comfortably sitting up for a few months. Barrack was very helpful and gave us a great deal on our couch. We had an amazing experience. I will say that a number of years ago I worked in a furniture store for a period of time that carried a very high end line of furniture. So when the search was on I wanted beauty and comfort and something solid that would wear well and last. USFurniture delivered the perfect, quality furniture we'd ordered and all during the pandemic. Every furniture store we went to (and I think we went to nearly every reputable furniture store in the area) and EVERY SiNGLE STORE had a 6 month or more wait on its deliveries. So anyone complaining here about timeline is either impatient, desperate, FOS or all of the above. Omar was awesome and was helpful - no pressure and I picked from their fabrics so it was a custom order!!! I didn't mind waiting for a custom order not one bit!! Rest assured that the customer service we got from Omar matches that same level of quality. Calls were promptly returned and questions always respectfully answered. We can't say enough positives and could not be more pleased with our couches and chair. We are looking to Omar to help us with our outdoor furniture too. Thank you Omar for a wonderful experience. I walked into this business with anticipation of finding a recliner which suited our needs. We did indeed find a recliner which was comfortable and at a very nice price, but was not the color desired. The salesperson was quick to let us know that it did come in a color which might suit us, cream. I asked if we could match the color available to even a spot on any one of the 100s of swatches & furniture there on the showroom floor. The answer was NO. I had insisted on a cream color and was told that this was going to be so incredibly close! I hesitated, but trusted. Boy, was that a wrong move!!! The recliner arrived and so much more darker than what I had showed and discussed with the salesperson!!! Now, stuck with this recliner, because after being told I could refuse delivery, and refunded my $$, I was then told that my $$ was not refundable. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Buyer beware. Too bad its not possible to give no stars. Sales rep gave a price that he said was only good at that moment and wouldn't be the same price if I came back later. So I gave a deposit and financed the rest through their creditor at no interest for one year. When I got home I measured the space where the furniture would go only to find it wouldn't fit right. I called the store and spoke to the rep to cancel the order, only 24 hours after I had been in the store. He said he'd have to pass it through "upper management" as he had no authority to issue a refund and he'd call me the next day. Suspicious, I called the creditor and closed the account. No call the next day. Stupid me, I assumed the order was cancelled and I didn't hear back from a guy that was pissed because he just lost a sale. At no point did he state that this was a "special order". 3-4 weeks later I get a call to arrange delivery. I said no, the order was cancelled. He claims to have no recall of my conversation with him cancelling the order. Yeah, OK. I actually sent a copy of my phone records showing that I did indeed contact him on that day to cancel. Long story short, I disputed the purchase with their creditor for 4 months and they sided with USF because apparently it was a "special order" (special simply because it was shipped from a warehouse.) and "non-cancellable". So unless you buy a floor model EVERYTHING you purchase there is a "special order" and is "non-cancellable". So here I am forced to take furniture I can't use and sell it for half of what I paid just to get it out of my basement or have my credit ruined. Did USF need my sale that badly? A one star review is too high, actually. We purchased a living room set in April. After leaving the showroom we decided to check another name brand store. We liked the set better and called up to cancel our order from US Furniture, less than one hour after purchasing. Long story short, they would not allow us to cancel our order without paying a 30% restocking fee which equates to over $500 or to get a lawyer. A lawyer??? We cancelled the order literally 30 minutes after placing it and went to the store 3 times only to be given the runaround each time. From "oh we can't simply swipe your card for a refund" to "the right manger isn't here to issue a refund" ... we are not quite sure how they stay in business. Each time we went back for our refund not one customer came in. It is absolutely infuriating that they are essentially stealing almost $2,000 from us. I understand covid slowed down delivery which is fine but when couches arrived the large couch did not fit through the door but the other two did. Now we sent back the couch and they still charged us a restocking fee. Now the amount we had left over was used to get another couch which was delivered fine. Now our wall units were ordered in October 2021and we went to thw store in March 2022, we were going to cancel but they said we had to pay restocking fees for the wall units and the remainder of money would be added as store credit. we decided to wait since he stated they would be in for sure by April. why lose money with a restocking fee which makes no sense if furniture was not even delivered or in warehouse. now we reached out to them April 7th 2022 and they stated that theybhad one wall unit and the other has yet to come to warehouse BUT we were not even told that even 1 was there and could have been delivered. We told them we want it delivered and will get the other once it arrives. They stated that they would add it in notes and that we would call us to set up delivery to receive it that wednesday April 13, 2022. Now here we are April 23, 2022 and still no wall units. We called them around 7:15pm to inquire of our furniture and the operator stated she would have to speak to Joseph and they would call us back. NOW they NEVER CALL BACK or follow through AT ALL. So my wife told her "we are not confident we will get a call back by today but expect one by tomorrow" and the operator literally laughed when my wife said we were not confident we would not get a call back. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS and their responsibility to their customer SUCKS!!!!! I will NEVER GO BACK..and ask for you to save your trouble abs go to BOBS. I will never steer away from BOBS.
