This is the brighter, airier ghosts of Pier 1 and Bed and Bath, plus a hint of Coldwater Creek, this is a fun spot to poke around! Furnishings and furniture, table top linens and kitchen gadget, it's practical but fun spot to dream. The beaded table runners catch your eye along with seasonal decor items (and the inevitable clearance sales). I know no better spot to find a variety of Torani syrups, on site, conventional or sugar-free alike. Lavender lemonade, apple tea, cookie-flavored lattes, yum! Coffee samples also greet you at the door alongside the pleasant enough staff. There are member discount sales and you can pre-order online items for pickup. This location is an engrossing spot, presently the only spot with Buy Buy Baby gone. read more

I read the reviews and had to check this place out. From the outside, it looked kind of small but once you walk in, take the elevator downstairs and I was pleasantly surprised. There's a Buy Buy Baby right next door. On first glance, this store reminded me of a Home Goods. They had home decor, snacks, plates, and furniture. This is the place to buy unique gifts for people. I of course had to check the food and snack sections. They had different items from all over the world. They had unique chips, caviar flavor and egg flavor! It looked interesting and I would definitely try it but not for $6.99 for a smallish bag of chips. That was a big thing I noticed, the prices were a little steep. Some of these unique items I can get somewhere else a little bit cheaper. Although, they had some sample size hot sauces that I had to try; truffle hot sauce and habanero honey mustard, these were so good. There were clearance shelves scattered throughout. I went to World Market today for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed myself, I would explain it as the adult equivalent of Urban Outfitters. I spent at least an hour taking journeys down each aisle discovering something new. I left with Tea's, and cups, and pillows, and tomato sauce, Garrets Popcorn, and Clearly Canadian (which I didn't know still existed), amongst other things! Pretty cool spot, definitely favorite parts are the international foods section, condiments, preservatives, sauces, etc. I scored some Calabrian chili oil for breads/Sunday sauce too. Saw some of the viral chili oils and some items that would make a good gift. The grand opening of store #2 today in We-Ha! The store shares the space with buy baby, REI and SAKs. It's everything from home decor-food-gifts and more, definitely some unique finds but come with a stiff price tag. I found that things you'd find elsewhere costs a bit more here. There were some eclectic pieces from around the world, I loved the baguette tray. Gourmet food and drinks like Jack Daniels ground coffee, Italian sodas, Belgian speciality chocolates. Just in time for the season some Christmas ornaments, stocking stuffers and gift boxes. Its a grand bazaar!! They are giving away $10 gift cards for the grand opening up until the weekend. read more

Whenever I'm out east in Ct, I stop by World Market to see what they have. Love this store, wish they'd open a store in Fairfield County.

I really love shopping at World Market. They have all kinds of items for the home that are beautifully crafted. About half the store is home items, and the other half is food and snacks. You'll find little things like stationary items, and big items like couches and lamps here, and all sorts of in-betweens. They also have a small clothing and accessory section for women. I used to find toys and kids books, but that seems to be a thing of the past. During the holiday season their ornaments are the most unique and so adorable. Now, can I say the food area is pretty great. Most of the food and drink items are international, and they're very unlikely to be found in other stores. There's lots of Swiss chocolate, Kinder chocolate which reminds me of childhood. You'll find unique blends of tea and coffee. And so much more. A lot of the items in World Market are a little pricier. It is a good idea to join their free membership program, and they'll send you coupons and other promotions by text. This is a fun store to find beautiful items for the home or a great international snack. I recommend stopping here. read more

Very cool place to find food and drink options from around the World So I was on a hunt to find Clearly Canadians. Which is a soda imported from Canada that I grew up with on the shelves of corner stores throughout CT. When I heard online they were back. So I researched who had them and found Cost Plus World Market had them. I happened to be in the area one day and decided to go for it a grab a bunch of Clearly Canadian Sodas and bring them to the family for a Thanksgiving Surprise. It was a Major Hit and everyone loved the nostalgic drink. I also saw they have authentic food and drink from many other countries. I can't wait to go back and see what other gems I can find there. read more

I came here for a Soft Opening for Yelp ,but I came again to see what is new and review it . I liked the free coffee stations which one was in the hallway of the main entrance today a great way to come in out the cold ! The isles are small in some sections where I was again bumped by someone trying to fit by with a cart ,lol that happened when I first came here . The guy was so embarrassed he ran away fast ,lol. I came for a gift for my step-ups who is indeed hard to shop for . This place has it all coffee, teas, chocolates from all over the world , tables and chairs and tea pots and more . I decided on a hand cream from India that had a pretty packaging . I also bought her tea and honey . I needed wrapping paper and low and behold they have that too. Today I did receive a email before I got here and it was for a free gift while supplies last. A Bottega Balocco oven baked cake. I always wanted to try it and today I will !!! I went last night for the grand opening and was pleasantly surprised by all the Christmas items for sale. After an hour of intense deliberations, i successfully left with Canadian water, all things copper; and $60 worth of Christmas ornaments. Very impressed with the style and selection of chairs and tables. Definitely a rustic chic vibe. I am not a huge fan of the carpet and blanket selection, little rough to the touch. More for the look than actual use it seemed. It was lacking home decor section that the Manchester location had and I really like. The store is located down an escalator in the basement area. Which we found was unique, but it worked. Store was very clean and organized, noticed they were setting up several displays in the center of the store. Overall a very nice store with items from around the world. My first experience with World Market, was when I visited my daughter in Shreveport, LA, 5 years ago. Amazing place! When I found out they were bringing not 1, but 2 stores to CT, I was ecstatic! Neatly organized and filled to the brim with different products, World Market will fit in nicely in the new West Hartford neighborhood. I was excited to find a Dutch oven in their kitchen area, and with the AMAZING perks for the grand opening, I was able to get it at a great price! I am so excited that there is now a World Market at Corbins Corner! The employees were all very friendly and super helpful. This store offers wonderful selections of imported foods and drinks, as well as household items. I was impressed with the different varieties of goods this store has to offer. I was able to find products that reminded me of my most recent trip to Europe. I could spend all day just going through all the different food products and culinary must haves!!! I went here tonight for a Yelp event and loved it. So many unique products and decor. The prices, after coupons, were quite reasonable. I'm totally a home goods girl, but I may have been converted. World Market is awesome. I love that the pieces here aren't overflow. The store set up is pretty logical and given its new was running pretty smoothly! I tried a guava soda, grapefruit sparking water and a raspberry matcha carbonated drink. The grapefruit carbonated drink was my favorite one of those 3. The guava one was a bit sweeter than I liked. The matcha drink was nice but I think I prefer matcha and raspberry flavor to be separate. I also saw really interesting items like raw honeycomb, Thai tea, spicy honey, green tea Kit-Kats, swivel-chair dining tables, kids toys, llama plushes, sloth cups, outdoor furniture, cat toys, soaps, gift bags with dogs/cats on it, and much more. Probably the most casual Yelp Event I've ever attended was the soft grand opening of this spot on Halloween night. It was a chance to get a sneak preview of the store prior to it's official grand opening to the general public the next day. This is a pretty versatile place. They have everything from specialty grocery items to home decor and furnishings to small housewares available and after talking to one of the employees they will also have a year round seasonal theme. In this case it was Christmas so there were a lot of holiday themed foods available. I would definitely recommend doing some Christmas shopping here because it's very affordable and who doesn't like to receive specialty food as a gift during the holidays? There were some brands that are not really seen in retail stores these days including Harry and David and Clearly Canadian flavored sparkling water (now there's a blast from the past!) so that was interesting. I wouldn't do any regular food shopping here but if you are looking for something unique for your home or as a gift, whether it's food or some other knick-knack, Cost Plus World market can help. I have been waiting for over a year for them to open! It is smaller than others that I have been in but they seem to use the space well. The staff were friendly and polite. They have the usual array of foods, knick knacks and such. This location didn't have any clothing from what I saw like scarves or gloves. The register area might be chaotic come the holiday season with the four checkouts being across from each other but we'll see. Now I am a LOVER of World Market, so this is totally based on logistics and nothing on content. This grand opening event was fun but subpar compared to the one in Manchester. The store is also much smaller so it doesn't have that same large, esthetic feel that Manchester had. People of West Hartford will enjoy the store but they will def need to travel to Manchester to get the total feeling of the store!
