We left the parking lot behind Crate & Barrel on Knox about 15 minutes early, since they were able to verify that we were all present. The van was the right size for the group, not a large bus like I've been in before. It was a nice van. I totally forgot to take a photo of it, as we walked around the corner, saw it sitting there & boarded. We left shortly after that! Our tour guide was fun and inserted some nostalgia along the way. I was born in Dallas but learned a few things about Highland Park that I didn't know! We stopped at 2 houses for photo ops (about 5 minutes) and then a bathroom/treat/drink stop at La Madeleine (love it) for 10 minutes. It was a lot of fun - one side of the van would say 'OOOOH' and one side would say 'AHHHH'. Wisely they asked us not to take photos, as the light from the phones reflected on the windows, which makes it difficult for the others to see out. Tickets for 2025 were $45 + tax. A nice value for the 1 1/2hr of fun and new friends!

We went on a general tour (where we got to ride in a very nice van) and got to walk around a few sites such as Pioneer Plaza, the Dallas Farmers Market and Cathedral Guadalupe. I got some great pictures. John also does a JFK tour about the assassination that sounded very interesting but due to time constraints, we couldn't take part in. However, if you're looking for information on Dallas, seeing what makes it universal and want to partake in a tour this company is definitely a good choice for that. We also discovered Lockhart Steakhouse at his suggestion and were very pleased with that experience.

We along with others were tired and wanted to take a little rest while we were driving, but we couldn't because she kept talking. (And her jokes were a little lame especially toward the end). I'd like to say to Alice just let people ride occasionally and don't think you have to be funny all the time. Also, please don't mock Baptists. Otherwise the trip was very nice. Vincent drove us expertly through downtown traffic and the coach was luxurious.

Based on that experience, I booked the Fredericksburg Vintner Winery Tour & Italian Lunch for my birthday in July 2025. Unfortunately, less than an hour before the tour was scheduled to begin, it was canceled. We were notified by email that the scheduled driver had experienced a medical emergency and the backup driver was already assisting with another event. The company apologized and offered to double our winery tour credits, provide free tickets to any 2025 Wino Fest, and allow us to attend a Boat Bash on Lake Travis that same day. While I appreciated the gesture, the Boat Bash offer was impossible to accept. We received the email around 10:00 a.m., and the event began at 11:30 a.m. We were already in Fredericksburg, so there was no realistic way to drive to Lake Travis in time. Although my birthday plans were ruined, I understood that emergencies happen and accepted the four winery tour credits and two Wino Fest tickets for future use. A year later, for my birthday in July 2026, I decided to use my credits to book the same Fredericksburg winery tour. We arrived at the designated meeting location early and waited for the tour to begin. The scheduled start time came and went, but no driver or tour vehicle ever arrived. Even more frustrating, there was no communication whatsoever to let us know there was a delay, cancellation, or any other issue. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the company but did not receive a response for more than an hour. Richard eventually replied by email, stating that the driver had picked up the vehicle on time and that their digital roster showed the other attendees had joined the tour. This only added to my confusion because I had arrived early at the exact meeting location provided in their confirmation link. I even replied with a screenshot from their own link showing where I had been instructed to meet, but I never received another response that day. The following day, I again requested an explanation for what had happened and asked for a refund. I received no response to either request. After two consecutive years of having my birthday plans ruined by this company, I can no longer recommend them. My communications have been with Richard, and based on my experience, I feel I was treated unfairly and ignored when I tried to resolve the situation. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before booking and hopefully avoid the disappointment that I experienced.
