I tried the "dip" nail trend. 1st time I paid 35$ and it chipped after 3 days. I go back in assuming they wouldn't charge me to fix. They charged me for a while new set 35$! I'm a long-time customer of US Nails and I had to come back to do a new review because of the exceptionally fantastic customer service I received today. I'm super picky with my nails. When I went in today, I had a specific photo/design I wanted copied to my nails. Unfortunately, the design I chose was an acrylic-only design. I asked for the closest thing they could do to the photo I chose and they began working. Christine did my pedicure and did a wonderful, very detailed job. Being my picky self, I asked for a change to be made to make the nails more similar to the photo. This request meant the four layers of gel she'd already done had to be removed and totally redone. It was my fault for not mentioning my preference earlier. And what made this experience exceptional was that she was so eager to please, she invited four different techs weigh in on how to best do the design and began working, again from scratch, to make it perfect. I know it was an incredibly frustrating situation for her, but she was so sweet and continued to be just as detail oriented as before. Rachel took over the finishing touches in detail work on my toes and did my entire manicure. I am so pleased with the work they've done, I couldn't help but share. I'm never let down by this salon, and after nearly three hours of labor-intensive work, I am one happy customer yet again. Thank you for your patience ladies, I know I was a major pain! I never rant but: DO NOT COME HERE. I used to love coming here and I was loyal customer. However, right before Christmas I had come in to get my nails done and a few days later they started chipping a lot and a few of them started to crack and break. This hasn't happened before, I personally think that the girl didn't go enough gel coats this time. I get a gel manicure on my natural nails and it's usually great and my nails are strong. Not this time. I called the salon to ask if I could come in and get a new manicure since so many of my nails were messed up. They agreed. However, when I arrived this morning looking forward to finally getting my nails fixed since I was out of town, I was greeted by the owner and explained the situation and she refused to fix all my nails or give me a refund. She only agreed to fix the two nails that completely broke off! Keep in mind I am understanding and a loyal customer but I was really upset that all of my nails were messed up. The owner told me it my fault and If I wanted to get them redone I'd have to pay! Hahahahaha that's funny. I told her I'd take my business elsewhere. Anyways I wanted to let you girls know that the people here aren't very friendly or focused on customer happiness and satisfaction. I've gone here a couple of times in the last year or two and went in for an acrylic manicure with my friend by appointment specifically for an acrylic manicure. I said I just wanted white acrylic when I went in. Gel was not mentioned once yet afterwards when I went to pay she said it was $45 instead of $30. When I asked why she said it's because I got a gel full set and I said I never asked for gel nor was it ever mentioned to me. She then said gel is the norm for acrylic full set unless otherwise specified. I've never been to any salon that does this and I honestly feel lied to. Not only that, but they're crooked. Of course all nail salons have a mix review of good and bad experience. Tonight's nail service was excellent at least for me. My niece is finally old enough to get her 1st set of acrylic. She had a design in mind and the nail tech exceeded all of our expectations! I had Hao do my nails and I love her work. Nail shape is always on point. She knows what she's doing and always file the nails cleanly with no overspill acrylic under the nail. She is my go to girl at this salon. I think it was Taylor who did my niece's nails. Not sure if that's the correct name. But as you can tell from the picture, she also did an exceptional job. I live the perfect shape and looks of my niece's nails also! I'm so glad we decide to come to this salon. My 7yr old just got polish. The work wasn't perfect but it's fine for little girls. I went here yesterday for the first time, but will not book an appointment again there. My pedicure was done in by a young man who didn't seem to care about the job he was doing. My major complaints were that he didn't cut my nails short enough, and didn't remove all of my old polish satisfactorily. I felt like he had never learned the proper procedure for a pedicure, I went to beauty school yeas ago and learned the correct way to do a professional mani/pedi. I made my impressions known to a member of the staff as I was leaving, stating the problem I was having. I didn't say anything to the person doing my pedi as I felt he just didn't give a darn about the job he was doing anyway. I wasted $28 for very poor service. I would not recommend this salon to anyone based on my experience with them. I am considering a phone call today to state my complaint but don't know how much good it would do. I just had my nails done here after looking frantically around town for a place to fit me on a usual busy day for nail salons, Saturdays. The lady on the phone was super friendly and easy to talk to and she fit me in about an hour and a half after my call. They did gel for me at 25 dollars which is a good deal if you ask me, the man that did mine even gave me a little arm/hand massage afterwards. He was pleasant, quiet, but knew what he was doing and didn't do anything that hurt me. Sometimes when I go to places they pull at my cuticles and they hurt afterwards which is a huge reason for me to never go back to a place. I wish I could remember his name!! The decor was nice and every worker was busy but they didn't rush through any appointments it seemed. I will be back to this place, but keep in mind that even if you make an appointment on Saturday, you will wait about 10 minutes or so before they start your nails which is reasonable considering how busy they all were. Yooo who's the guy who is the second from the last booth on the right side? He sucks. I wish I could get my money back. Had a broken nail, went to get it fixed and to do a French acrylic set. The one nail I got fixed was WAY longer than the rest, I ended up filing it down when I got home. They look like crap, bubbly and chipping on the sides. He was so damn rude and just going as quick as possible, laughing with whoever the hell was sitting next to him the whole time and seemed to not care about his job, and it was obvious looking at my nails afterwards. I have been going to US nails for about 3-4 years now on and off, I get my nails and toes done a few times a year as a treat to myself for special occasions. I have always been very happy with my manicures when I get acrylic and the staff on the right side of the salon. Pedicures however are a different story. There is two men that I usually get stuck with for pedicures there and both are very rude. An older man and a very young man, always rough and make me feel so uncomfortable. This past weekend when I was there for a gel pedicure I was seated quickly and the young man (not sure his name) was who I got. While sitting in the chair he grabbed my toe and was pointing out things on it to the young girl working next to him...then laughing. He was moving my seat back and forth while adjusting me... no joke six times... back and forth. Then continued to push my toes down aggressively and tell me to keep them flat. I have had bad experiences with him before and could feel myself becoming upset. I was about to get up and just leave and I was very upset and they said "What's wrong, no no don't leave." I ended up asking if I could have someone else please! I was shaking I was so upset. I ended up getting the older man. He usually is also very rough and unfriendly... which I usually just put up with. I was already uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of there so stuck it out. He did a very good job this time thankfully! The entire time the young man was working on another lady next to me just staring at me, very uncomfortable. I felt bad asking for someone else as I usually would never do that. I just couldn't suffer through a painful pedicure again. I decided I'd stick it out but I am never going back there for any service. This is a very long rant! But I hope if you're thinking of trying US Nails for a pedicure you think twice or make sure one of ladies... who all are honestly good and very nice.. are the ones doing it! I never rant but this was supposed to be relaxing and it was just upsetting and honestly I couldn't wait to leave! He was very thorough and paid close attention to the details of my services. My only "cons" would be that the salon was very busy so all techs were rushing around like crazy and we had a bit of a challenge communicating due to his limited understanding of English. I went in to get my nails done, I asked for a tip with the next gen dip powder. I had Tina and from the start she seemed so annoyed and angry like she didn't want to be there. I almost asked for another nail technician because of this but thought it wouldn't be a big deal. I asked for a coffin shape and she used scissors really quickly and sloppily as if she didn't care how they looked and they turned out really pointy so I told her I didn't like them and asked her to take it off and start over. I could tell she was annoyed by this but if you are going to do my nails super sloppy and not care then I'm gonna ask you to start over, you should have done them right in the first place. Then when she is buffing out my nail she turns it up to the highest setting and buffs them super aggressively to where the finished look looks almost marble-like because of how uneven the color is from her buffing it so harshly. I decided not to say anything because I just wanted to get out of there and I gave her a 6 dollar tip because she seemed to be having a bad day. Then when I walk up to the front to pay she tries to charge me $50! I have never paid more than 35-40 at this place and I have gone here more times than I can count! I asked the manager to do something because I am so angry and she does nothing. Don't get Tina whatever you do. I even asked for the listed price because I was so shocked and it said 40 dollars on it. She tried to overcharge me after doing a horrible job and having terrible customer service. Went in for a dip manicure to find out they charge an extra 5$ to have them remove the dip polish already on my nails? I've never been charged extra for removal when getting the same type put back on. Been going here for awhile and never charged before! I got my nails done here about 3 weeks ago, they looked good and I was happy.. about 4 days later my pinky nail fell off and I went to get it fixed then about a week after that another one fell off so I went back in to get it fixed, after I got this one fixed my finger felt a little sore (he hit my skin with the electric file) but I didn't think much of it then after a few days I got a nasty hard discolored thing on the skin next to my nail, i am pretty sure it's an infection. I came in for a full set. I got regular polish, coffin shape & I like my nails long. I was charged $40! This should of only cost $25. When I asked why $40 they told me $30 for full set, $5 extra for shape( okay so they expect me to walk out with unshaped nails, the charge of $30 for the full set should already include shape) & $5 extra because I wanted the nails long (again they are suppose to cut them so if I want them long how is that any different from having them short). I decided to come here even though most of the Salons in Chico are overpriced and I was unsatisfied with the overall experience. This place though is great. They have great prices and seem very clean and professional. Rachel did my gel manicure and she spent a great deal of time cleaning up my nails. A full-service pedicure at affordable prices! The staff was very friendly and greeted me right away. I wasn't impressed with the polish colors selections but they had many to choose from. My technician Mary was excellent! She was very gentle and did a very professional job on my toes. Mary actually took the time to work on my calluses and did not cop-out or give a wimpy massage (as many technicians have in my previous experiences elsewhere). The professionalism of the staff showed when they avoided speaking to each other in a language other than English.
