Acton, Massachusetts has an excellent Post Office Square full service location. Workers are helpful and knowledgeable; supplies are extensive; & hours open are great, including Saturday till 3:00 pm. They have superb selection of stamps with personality too, for many needs (ie domestic Forever 1st class; international; & postcards.) Also sell wide variety of greeting cards & shipping materials for multiple uses. Also has plenty of easy parking & 24-hour shipping system that's easy to use, with heated indoor lobby. Can buy postage too with credit card, for packages or regular stamps 24 hours. (Not as beautiful as stamps during indoor hours, but convenient anytime.) Stop-mail for time away is flawless, with easy online option. Always gets timing right for stop & restart delivery. Not many post offices make you feel they're glad to help you, even during busiest seasons. Always feel welcomed at Acton USPS. read more

This is a second review, due to additional irregularities not mentioned previously. I have been waiting for a package, due to be delivered today. I checked tracking, which reported that it was delivered at 9:40 this morning. Great! So I walk down to my mailbox, ABOUT NOON, and guess what? IT IS NOT THERE! It was reported delivered at 9:40AM! It was just delivered (the mailman just came; I assume my package was ACTUALLY delivered) at noon. So it was delivered 2 hrs and 20 minutes AFTER it was scanned delivered! It seems that again, the mailman scanned all his packages at once, and then delivered them one by one. The bottom line is that having been scanned, and marked "delivered" on tracking DOES NOT PROVE THAT IT WAS DELIVERED! It might have fallen out of the truck for all the mailman would know! It MIGHT have been stolen. Just be aware, having been scanned and marked "delivered" DOES NOTHING TO SHOW OR PROVE THAT A PACKAGE HAS BEEN DELIVERED! NOTHING! read more

This post office is the same as all of the US post offices! The people are polite and friendly! The service is very good! I read all of the reviews on yelp stating how rude and disrespectful the employees are and was considering driving the extra miles to a different post office and I'm glad that I didn't. I can say however that if you go in with a bad attitude you are going to get a bad attitude so if you want people to be polite, be respectful and polite! Place is terrible. How do they say they "attempted to deliver my package" at 3 am? They don't even attempt it anymore. Now i have to have my mother in law go and pick up the package since i won't be around. This package was for a surprise and now it is pointless cause she's picking it up. So, I need to be clear. I can forgive A LOT, I worked in customer service/with the public for about 20 yrs. That being said, I have just had a very aggravating experience at this USPS Office. There was one employee working the front desk and a line was beginning to form. Another employee emerged from the back and asked if anyone was dropping off or picking up. The woman behind me pushed past me with her two boxes to ship and was allowed to do so where as I had a quick question about passport photo appointments and a greeting card to buy. The woman who was allowed to cut me apparently needed labels etc. so I stood in line for another 3-4 minutes waiting for my turn which would have been maybe 1-1.5 minutes long. If you're going to help someone waiting , take the next customer in line!!! Super simple. I put the card back and left quietly. read more

Front desk clerks are rude, particularly the older guy. They don't always scan outgoing packages and I've had problems with items I've had to mail back to vendors, as without being scanned I have no proof that I returned the items. I am a very polite person and only ask that I be treated politely in return. I have never been treated so rudely at any other post office. The only reason I go to that one is because it's near my work and they are open later than most. read more

My uncle was a post office employee, so my instinct is to cut them a lot of slack, but in this case I cannot. Employees are rude and unhelpful. When I arrived yesterday, they were having a spirited conversation with each other and seemed to chafe at the requirement that they actually serve a customer. They were not wearing masks when talking loudly to one another; the person who served me did pull up a gaiter as he approached, but did not cover his nose. I use this PO because it is convenient, but have learned to expect disinterest and terrible service from the employees. read more

This post office is horrible. Every time I come here there is a man around 50 or 60 years old, with grayish hair, and a mustache, slim build, and the rudest son of a bitch you ever wanna bump into. He is not a happy camper and he makes sure that you know it. The post office should fire his ass. I am definitely doing my post office business somewhere else. And take a look at the reviews here, they validate everything that I'm saying. Too bad the post office doesn't look at the reviews and make some sort of correction. Having him behind the counter greeting the public is a bad move. I guess they really just don't care because they're all pretty pissed off at the condition of the postal system in this country anyway. Yesterday, I went to the post office in Acton, MA to mail a package. I spent 10 minutes boxing it, and then went to go in line. It was 3 pm exactly, and an old caucasian male with a mustache refused to stay open for one minute to help me. Absolutely terrible customer service. It was astounding to me. He knew I had been there since 2 45 boxing my package. I read below this man has multiple other complaints. I now have to drive 20 minutes back on Monday. I truly am at a loss for why human beings cannot be kind and caring, especially during a pandemic. I have worked in customer service for 15 years, I would never treat another person that way. Terrible employee and customer service. I will be coming back on Monday to speak with someone in person about this terrible experience, and I truly hope someone speaks with this individual about his poor attitude and customer service skills. read more

I never heard of post office disposing of mail on purpose. I purchased a book on eBay and by mistake was shipped to my old address. They had a forwarding address but because it was 4th class they wouldn't forward it. They disposed of it the same day they knew it was undeliverable. What can I say, just a terrible bunch of people. Rude, obnoxious and crass. Just the other day I was in there to ship a fragile package. I opted for additional insurance and handling instructions. The lady behind the counter rung me up (knowing of the fragile nature) and then tossed me package into the bin (well, she missed) hit the floor and I heard breaking ceramic. I asked her to retrieve the package she just dropped so I can inspect its contents, she said "no way I can do that" once its in our hands it has to reach the destination" Fine ill play the post offices game, as soon as it made it to the destination I filed a claim. The employees at the Acton PO are the rudest I have ever had to deal with. Last week, I came in with a small padded envelope I wanted to mail to Europe. Edward informed me that I would have to complete a custom form but because it was 10 min to their closing the me, I would have to come back because there was not enough time for me to fill out the form and for him to type it up into his system. Seriously ??!! He would not budge and was quite rude about it. I came back today with the completed custom form. Upon seeing that I had not signed the form, he practically threw it back at me! I waited in line for 20 minutes. Then, an older Caucasian male clerk with a mustache acted like he didn't understand my request. I had 2 envelopes to be mailed to England. I'd already put some stamps on them, but needed the postage checked. He quickly grabbed them, threw them in his mail bin, and said they were all set. When I asked what the postage was, he retrieved them and added more postage. I do not trust this person with my mail anymore. I've submitted a complaint about him in the past. Why there is no option to give 0 star, because this post office deserves it! Always lost mail, if you asked them to hold all your mail they would start hold it one week earlier from the date you asked, conveniently?! And the most ridiculous is if you go to post office THEY WILL NEVER APOLOGIZE! All employees are rude! In the last two weeks I spoke with two different supervisors. One was male and other was female. Unfortunately I always had problems with delivering my mail. When I spoke to lady (who was supervisor at that day) at least at the end she apologized, but the male supervisor which I spoke other day OMG...He listened to me with no empathy and was absolutely useless, and can you imagine at the end NO APOLOGIZE! This is the worst post office that I have ever been to. I have experienced and seen many examples of rude and discourteous behavior in this office over the years, but am writing this review over the latest example that happened to me. Edward, the postal clerk at the counter, refused to accept one of my book boxes to be mailed. He stated that because of a rule I had to take my box away and repack the books using a different packing box. I asked to see the rule. He turned nasty then said all of my book boxes would be investigated to be sure they contained books. I asked him why he could not be nicer, and he said he was justified because I seemed angry. To settle the matter, we went out into the foyer and he showed me a notice that said something entirely different and again he misstated the rule, ignoring what was printed. I had to correct him, quoting word for word what was written, and he had to concede that he was wrong. We went back into the post office. My book box was mailed. I usually love and respect federal workers for all that they do for us throughout the year. We recently moved from Waltham to be closer to this area, and I could not believe how RUDE Joanne is! Albiet, Jay (man with mustache) was not a ray of sunshine himself as he deferred me over to Joanne because he preferred a customer that he "liked" more than myself. Anyhow, the service got worse as we handed her the money to pay for our deliverables and she physically threw the bills on the weighing post in front of her. I, then asked her quickly prior to getting my coins if she would hand me the coins because i did not want her to toss my coins on the weighing post! She also argued with what I had im the box I was shipping. I wrapped the box, how wouldn't I know what was in it? She then assumes that its something else becausw its going to a bank?! She was rude, and I question whether she comprehends how rude she truly was..... i actually question if their manager would provide professional development to this group of people who apparently doesn't understand the meaning of rudeness or since they work for the post office perhaps she simply doesnt care! Long story short, do not come here if you do not want your bills and/or coins tossed on the counter!
