CHRISTMAS FIASCO! I had three packages being shipped to me by family. I go to pick them up from the post office. The first two go without a hitch. One was a 44.44 dollar postage for a large box of about 25 pounds or more. The next was for a 13 pound medium size box at about 28 dollars. Shipping? Ground. My grandmother, who is not computer savvy, took this in to the post office and mailed it to me with the help of a clerk at her office back in California. Mind you, my third box was going to be sent later. Checking my USPS information, you can CLEARLY see I picked up my packages on Dec. 7th. I even had borrowed a dolly. The older lady at the front with gray hair was nice enough to help me with moving my packages to my vehicle by offering the dolly. So I thought, huh, not so bad. This place doesn't deserve a one star, maybe three stars. WRONG! I left for a business training seminar on the 14th and 15th. I get another notification that I have mail in my PO Box and figured Monday I'd drop down to get it after I get back into town. Mind you, I didn't get back into town until about near 5pm on the 15th. Monday morning I see my third package has been "Received" Meaning someone picked up something of mine from the post office at 10:02am on December .... Guess what? Fucking the 15th. Well it wasn't me. I also got a card in my mail saying I have a box to pick up with postage due of .... 43.40 for a parcel. My mind immediately snaps to, what? How? Why? It gets better! I go to ask the lady at receiving (she's short, brunette kind of middle eastern looking) and ask what this is about. She says hold on and grabs my stuff. When coming back she shows me my box. AH! My third box. I tell her that's my package and then ask why I have postage due on it when it was already paid. Her response is nothing but short and sweet of: "NO postage on box. 43.40 due." When I asked why she repeats. "No package label. 4340 due." I told her that wasn't possible. It was paid for. I also pull up on my phone to try to show her I didn't get this package but it says received. I wasn't even here. She fucking IGNORES me! Turns away and pulls the next customer in. I pick up the phone and call my family in CA to ask what's going on. I try to get her attention and ask for her to look into this. It isn't right. Of course, she acts like she's either deaf or can't speak proper english like. "43.40, no postage." I'm damn near ripping my hair out, asking her how a package of a medium sized box comes to 43.40 and she tells me nothing! She just repeats the line like a parrot. I leave, infuriated. Come back after I think a moment. Grab another co-worker and begin to explain. "Look, your co-worker is being really frustrating and I just need some kind of answer! Please! Please look into this box for me and see if you can figure out why it isn't labeled! How does it come to 43.40?!?" She nods but the last lady from before comes back to the front while helping someone else to scream at me, "NO! I already told you, 43.40 due! NO POSTAGE!" I look at her and I don't remember if I screamed at her to "shut the fuck up" but I'm about losing it. This lady cannot just shut up and let someone else handle the situation she obviously wanted nothing to do with. Next. I get the lady to come back telling me 18 dollars and some odd sense was paid for a package that was already delivered to me. I pull up my phone and show her someone picked something up on the 15th that wasn't me. I point to my package in the back and tell her, "pretty sure it's that." and she asks me if my family sent me a fourth package. I tell her no. She then tries to say maybe my grandmother paid the wrong postage. I again, tell her no. She proceeds to blame my grandmother for possibly buying the wrong postage online. I tell her that's not possible, she paid at the front which means the postal worker either a) didn't put the label on and is incompetent or b) mis-charged her. She says if that's so I'd have to pay the difference. NO ONE EXPLAINS HOW THIS IS STILL 43.40! Next day I call the main phone number for the post office. I file a claim and go back with both my other box labels, my grandmother's photo of her receipt for the third box and my wits. I see this tall slender black female, claiming she's a supervisor (fine) who SNATCHES my pink slip from my hands when I begin to explain my frustrations. She walks to the back, bring my shit forward, and tells me my box has no label. It was 3.40 because it was sent priority. NOWHERE ON THE BOX DOES IT SAY PRIORITY. I show her the receipt and she tells me I picked that up. I told her no, weigh the box. Attitude, rolling eyes, huffing, pretty much showing me she doesn't want to deal with this or the last customer before me for that matter.... She rolls her eyes and runs to the back. After a while, the other lady (short asian) takes my package and weighs it FINALLY. What does it come to? Exactly the weight on my grandmother's receipt. I get my box! read more

Be prepared to be frustrated if you have to go to this Post Office. We had our "cluster" mailbox vandalized. It looks like someone attempted to open the Outgoing mail slot with a screwdriver. So suddenly we stopped getting mail. There was no notice to anyone who used the box for several days. Eventually, a hand scribbled note was taped over the Outgoing mail slot that said to pick up your mail at the Auburn post office. We usually get mail daily. When we went to the post office, after five days of no service, the lady went in back to get the mail and came back saying there was no mail. I explained that we get mail nearly everyday and it has been several days. She went back and looked and found a small amount of mail. I have someone who sent me a check on a Monday, and a week later, still no envelope with a check. It was mailed from Seattle. 10 days after no mail service, I asked when the mailbox was going to be fixed and was told "this Friday". Friday came and went with no attempted repair. Another week passed and a repair person was said to have been sent to repair the mailbox but was unable to fix it. Now mind you, this is one small lock on the outgoing mail slot. Not sure what they were expecting or not expecting to find. Called the Post office again, and now another repair request has been issued, so we start from the beginning again. The supervisor at the Auburn post office tried to appease me, when I told her that it has now been three weeks without deliveries, by telling me that some people recently had their mailbox out of service for 5 months! I guess that was supposed to make me feel better. I think I have an indication of why the Post Office is having trouble financially, they're incompetent. read more

The staff here move slower than molasses. They have no sense of urgency even when there is more than 10 people in line. The staff is also very selective with greeting customers. My wife mailed a parcel to our daughter in Auburn, WA, from Burlington, WA. The parcel value was $60.00 plus about $8.00 for postage! The parcel arrived in Auburn and was scheduled for delivery! Our daughter never received the parcel! The carrier said she put it in the parcel box and later said she set it on the porch! We have received very little help and no satisfaction from the Auburn Post Office! They obviously have carriers that help their selves to other people's mail, with no repercussions! This is the most worthless and the laziest USPS I have seen in all My years. This time I paid for the expensive shipping that is suppose to get there in 1 day and that was nearly a week ago it's just been sitting there at the facility for days yesterday it said out for delivery so I made sure I was home I watched the mail man deliver everything else and drive on so I called They put Me on with a supervisor that admitted that the delivery guy was just being lazy and that He would make him come back to bring it so I called again hours later and He said give him till 5 since He might be finishing His shift I sat and waited till past 5 when called again and He acted like He did not know what I was talking about and all if a sudden They could not find My package They said it should have been delivered but I sat all day and it never was so either the temp driver stole it or something else happened but either way if it does not show They owe Me the 100$ insurance I got on it so if this post office is wondering why they are broke there is the answer 6 times this year I have had to file claims for getting packages that are utterly smashed to bits and tons of other times stuff was never delivered at all and I begin to wonder if all the thefts they claim as the reason to the lobby never being opened is not just the employees because when You call they act like hood rats if They even answer at all. And their "Supervisor" is the worst of them yet He can barely string a coherent sentence together and has no place working at a job like this. I have lived in areas where mail man take 3 hour naps in their trucks and are way late I have had ones so lazy they throw packages at the door but at least I get them, There is something shady going on at this post office and no one will do anything :( . And since another person down there is having the same problem but their review is marked as unhelpful which I can promise You it is the truth I will share their review as well because it should be more view-able. They have a 24/7 lobby but it's only open from 7am-7pm because of local vandals. Apparently, no one in USPS management has never heard of surveillance cameras. Here I thought the Post Office was in need of money. I guess not since they close off access to the automated machines for half the day. Even better, the handmade sign on the door says its open 7-7, but doesn't specify which days, so don't come on Saturday after 1 pm because the lobby is closed...stupid fucks. read more

How does one give less stars? I've tried calling all day about finding out which mailbox is mine and how to get a key (just moved in) and after a few minutes of listless ringing (no one seems to know how to answer a phone) this rude woman picks up the phone, starts dialing into my ear, so I have to yell 'hello!' So she'll actually talk to me and her first words are 'who are you?' Not the most professional greeting I've ever had, then she proceeds to give me extremely garbled information and gets frustrated when I ask for clarification. Long story short, I get to pay them 50 dollars for a key that should have been readily available to me. This is bullshit. read more

The post office talks about how broke they are, yet they turn away customers every day. I hate walking in there at 5:01 and get turned away. They turn away a lot of business. They need to adjust their hours to cater to customers instead of catering to their convenience. This is why they are broke, they néed to be run like a retail business that they are. Us when I got their the lady closed the door and locked it right in front of me and was yelling at me when I asked if the self serve machine was able to do a tracking number for my letter. She said no but you can send it certified for 16.60. So if I got there 1 min before it would have cost me $1.85, but because I work and got there 1 min late they wanted me to pay $16.60. I went in today because I had a neighbor parking in front of my mailboxes the last 2 days and wasn't receiving mail. I had very important mail that if I didn't get i wouldn't be able to give my 6 year old son a good birthday (his birthday is today and he deserves the BEST BIRTHDAY) they worked around me not having id (it was stolen) and then talking to the manager she told me she would ask my carrier to hold my mail and I could get it tomorrow. Oh no!!!! His birthday is today and I'm depending on this mail to pay for his birthday. Its all i have. She could have told me her hands were tied, or there was nothing she could do, but she didn't. She told me she would get ahold of the carrier and have him bring my mail to the post office. She took my number and is going to call me (mind you after hours) to come pick it up! Wowwwww! This is by far the opitome of caring for your customer, for being compassionate. The manager of the Auburn post office needs a raise! She single handedly went out of her way for my son to have a great birthday! She doesn't know this but I believe she is my fairy godmother!!!! Words can't describe how heard I felt today, how understood i was and how truly touched i was by her act of kindness. LIARS AND THIEVES. I paid $20.02 for a $3.52 transaction, and was given $6.50 change. I told the woman behind the counter that I paid with a $20.00 bill, because I had just come from the ATM, had five $20.00 bills in my wallet, and the ATM doesn't it issue $10.00 bills. She insisted it was $10.00; I insisted it was $20.00. She made a show of pushing some buttons as if to determine what denomination bill it was, and said, "Yep, that was $10.00" (I'd love to know what, if anything, her pushing buttons proved). She told me to leave my name and number, and the supervisor would call me "at the end of the day" (5:00 p.m.). The supervisor called me at 4:45 (not the end of the day - might as well get your lying out of the way before quitting time), and of course told me the till was balanced, not over by $10.00. Well, it would be balanced wouldn't it, if the clerk pocketed my $10.00 to hide her incompetence. Facilities though are often run down, the employees surly and then there is an underlying smell of desperation and decay in the facility. I wish more pride was taken in the job and how it is presented to the public. What a racket. I wasted the whole morning of my work day attempting to get my package. To start, the package was supposed to be a 2 day delivery. I ordered Monday and I finally have my package today, no thanks to the post office. The post office updated my tracking information saying they attempted delivery on Weds, but that was a lie. They didn't even attempt to deliver Weds and they didn't attempt to deliver the following day. Then when I went down there this morning I was told they could not find my package. I went back to the office and contacted Amazon who 3 way called with the same post office and we were told that my package was in fact there. On top of that they said they couldn't "redeliver" (why call it re-delivery when you haven't even gotten off your butt to deliver it the first time) it until Monday, which would make it 7 days. So, I drove back down to the post office and the second rep couldn't locate the package either. It took a supervisor to actually be able to find it. Consider it a negative star, as they don't deserve a positive star. Last Saturday my Julep package was delivered to the wrong street entirely. A supervisor traced where the package was delivered and last Wednesday (surprisingly) went to that address to find out what the resident did with the package. The resident claimed she put the box in the outside mail drop that very morning. Uh huh. The box still hasn't surfaced, so my guess is the resident didn't realize it could be traced to her so she opened the box. Now Teresa, the supervisor, said there was no insurance on the package, like that releases them of liability. As far as I'm concerned, this is now a federal offense and the postal carrier, supervisor and resident on 331st St are all a party to it. It's too bad the postal service doesn't bother reading all the reviews about them and realize they need to make changes. I bypass the usps whenever possible because they are so incompetent. As a taxpayer it disgusts me that our tax dollars are being wasted on such a poorly run agency, but at this point we can't expect any better. read more

I've lost over 15 packages, had my mail delivered to the wrong place, and they won't do anything about it. Some of my neighbors have been kind to return my mail, and I the same, as I have received others (which btw, some were located half a mile away, i mean come on!). This P.O. is pretty horrid. Not that I need to spend time explaining that as all the reviews seem to be in consensus with that but I'll drop my 2 cents anyways. Here goes: Lines often go out of the lobby and into the PO Box area because the employees work at the speed of glacier. Employees are hit and miss, usually a miss, in terms of customer service. Met some decent ones but also met some that are the rudest people you'll ever come across. Having spent many years of life in retail, I know for a fact these angry sluggish women wouldn't cut it for long in the private sector. Often when you call the Post Office to speak to an actual live human being, you won't get one. It'll just ring and ring. Then you call again and if you're lucky a rushed, short, angry woman will answer who always sounds like your call is a bother to her. It's clear the people here hate their jobs and us showing up and making them do more work means they probably hate us by default. One positive note, however, my regular mailman is awesome. He's great. He will sometimes come back to drop off a package for me as he knows about what time I am home each day. Really, I should get his name and give him commendation one day. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews but this one deserves it. This post office has twice sent packages from my family in Colorado to the east coast when it's already in the state to be delivered. The first time they sent a package to New Jersey and it took two months for the postal service to figure it out and deliver it. Recently, they sent another package to Chicago. Why would they send a package for Washington state back east? Also, my most recent box had fragile and insured mail written all over it. It arrived with a footprint and packing peanuts falling out of the side. I'm amazed nothing was broken. I do not trust this post office with my mail. I would say the sale associated persons here have bad customer etiquettes. They do not happy to work or something. All of them have cold faces and like to yell at customers. They need to have a class of being a good customer service attitude and showing their appreciation for their jobs. I think maybe it is a bad environment for them or they should not be a federal US employees and collect all of those benefits. This is the worst post office i have ever experienced. There is a lady there named Gloria whos customer service is horrendous. Shes rude and snotty and short with people. I received a notice saying my package was ready for pickup. I took an extra 30 min from lunch to pick up my package. She called a supervisor who is too busy to come to the front to help. When a supervisor did walk to the front Gloria told that supervisor someone was already helping me. I asked if he could help me but said someone else was already doing it so he couldnt help. I have been standing here waiting for 30 min and still have not seen a supervisor as of yet. This place is the worst. Don't have any packages sent to your home if you're not going to be able to pick it up. The supervisor actually came to talk to me she was great but everyone else is horrible. This post office is terrible!!! Moved here about two months ago & the mail carrier has been sending back to sender all my mail even though I filled out a change of address! I've had packages, financial documents, and bills all returns back!! WTF!! I went to the post office told them what happened and they said my mail carrier is really old school and to the book and would not deliver my mail unless I filled out some green form that's in the mailbox. Well there was never a form there and my boyfriend never filled one out and he gets his mail and packages. They gave me the form and said fill it and leave it in the box for the mail carrier and they will deliver your mail. Well, this has been about two weeks and I still haven't gotten any mail. In fact I just got a call saying some very important financial documents that I need to sign got returned to sender!!! WTF!! And they deliver mail to my address for people who don't even live here!!! I never had problem with this Post Office in the last 15 years until we had a new mail lady who choose not to deliver all my mails and packages. Unfortunately her supervisor and her manager supported on her. All the employees of USPS are paid a lot of money and they don't care about providing good services. The front desk people seems professional to me and caring. From what I am seeing lately they have hired new employees and they're all under training. GET READY FOR A 30-45 MINUTES WAIT! Because of the long wait...you start noticing how dirty the post office is. It was stinky also. I thought the guy in front of me was stinky but when he walked out the bad smell was still there. When you call also their office nobody would answer the call. If you get lucky...they are not nice and you can't resolve anything over the phone. They always hide their Postal manager by saying "she is not here right now and I will have her call you back". Many days later and days become weeks no call back from their office. Always recieve packages damaged, package would have missing items, torn up, if it's a bday card or something from family, mail and packages would be open. Filed over 10 complaints since last December and never got a response of what happened. They blame the driver all the time, but I don't see our postal delivery guy as a thief, especially that he's literally a senior citizen. As for missing items in most of our packages, especially if it's a car part since I order parts on a regular basis, something is always missing. So they shouldn't still blame the driver for that stuff cause he wouldn't have no use for it nor would he know what car it's for since they are rare parts that not everyone knows about. Everytime I follow up on the investigations, they never give a clear answer and don't expect any insurance to cover it. I always had to deal with the company where I ordered my parts and have to wait a whole month to complete the exchange process and sometimes don't get anything back. Got a car part today (see pic) and it's clearly been open to see what it is. Even if it's due to handling, why would anyone trust the US Postal Service if their packages come damaged or missing? I never had issues with UPS or FedEx,even with Ontrac. I can't pick and choose who ships my packages. Tired of making complaints with this office then not getting any type of solution and tired of dealing with companies with solving the issue. If it's illegal and you can get fined for even being blamed for messing with someone's mail, shouldn't postal employees get charged even if they're the one to blame? Cause I know if someone accusses me, right away would cops be at my door, it has happened to others I know. read more
