I am not sure a post office is ever really a very exciting place to go but the other reviews are so right! Multiple times I have come in to send something quick and easy and it has taken forever. The poor lady ( whom other yelpers have posted a photo of) really does take a long time. With the meters in the front being times I get anxiety standing there with my little package or special letter. I wish this location would have more people on the clock just to save the sanity ( and chance of getting a parking ticket with patrons parked at meters) . Do yourself a favor if you have to come to this location and have everything ready so you can just drop off! or, sad to say, find another convenient location. I feel for the lady who is so slow but the other reviews also have valid points. This location needs some love from corporate. read more

Arrived at 905am to find a few ladies waiting for the employees to open. They didn't open doors until around 9:10. The first 2 customers ahead of me received horrible customer service. Sadly I was expecting to be treated the same after hearing the rude comments back to the prior customers questions. No to mention the antagonizing comment she shouted at the lady right before she was leaving. I was called up to the counter and tried to make the best of it but the lady (Vanessa I believe was her name) continued to be short and rude with me. I mentioned something about the way she is treating customers and she said, "I've about had it with you and the lady before you, and if you say anything further you can go somewhere else." So I had a few select words with her and walked out! I WILL NEVER step foot in that place again. I would rather pay double at FedEx then to be treated with disrespect. This is not the first bad experience with this location... Just the one that pushes me overboard. read more

People that work there are super lazy and unprofessionals! 20 people in line for 30 min standing and one of ladies says that she is going to lunch and just walked away! My experience at this PO today was extremely unacceptable!!!! The line for service was way too long and for what should have taken 10 minutes to do my business, took at least a half hour! And then I left without doing what I'd plan to do.. way to frustrating experience. I know the employee working today has been with this post office for many years. Perhaps she could be offered another position with USPS!!!! She was mannerly and I heard her thank everyone before me for their patience, but she really needs to agree to a transfer!!! read more

I had the misfortune of needing to use this location rather than my excellent Brentwood/Barrington Circle post office. The desk clerks were rude and the location had no tape available for my priority packages. I was told I would have to purchase tape in order to affix the mailing label!! read more

Rude employees. They don't let you scan the shipping labels here when every other post office in LA let's you do it if you ask. 20 minute parking situation so if there is a line you could get a parking ticket. The post office at the century city mall is a lot better they actually have free tape there unlike every other post office that makes you buy one of their expensive rolls. read more

NEVER EVER GO HERE, unless you want to be treated very rudely and deal with employees with an attitude . I came here to ship a package out for my boss. And the woman at the counter was extremely rude, unhelpful and uninformative . I hadn't sealed up the package yet because I wanted to ask if she had bubble wrap. Before I get to my questions she says "well your clearly not ready I need you to Step Aside and finish tapeing your box before you come up to the counter" I calmly say well I was going to ask if you had any bubble wrap I could put in here before closing it . "No miss we don't have anything right now, so you'll have to figure it out" luckily the man behind me was kind enough to suggest I use the paper bag in my hand . I do what she says and "step aside" to the end of the counter. And she aggressively is like "ma'am mmm mmm. I need you to back up and go to that counter can't you see I'm with a customer" I don't say anything I'm just thinking wow, I'm just doing as you say. I'm attempting to check out with my bosses card , and she needs I.d. I tell her I don't have it and that that is my bosses card. She rudely states well I can't charge it. Which to me is understandable so I say "okay well should I take the package and come back or can I leave it here and come back ?" And she just rudely asks "do you want to steal from the post office" I say "of course not ! I'm just asking " I didn't know what to do that's why I was asking in the first place. She says no that she has to take the labels off and I can come back to pay for it. As I'm walking out she yells "miss how are you going to pay for the tape" I say well you won't accept this card and didn't you just tell me to come back to pay for everything?" "No ma'am mm mm you need to leave it here " and I say "that's fine I don't mind, I don't understand why you have to be so rude to me" I will NOT be coming back here ever again nor will I Recommend anyone else too! read more

Not sure if it's permanent or whether the employees decided to take an early Christmas break, but there was no sign in front and the Holiday Schedule only indicates that it would be closed on Christmas Day. Waited 40 minutes in line to buy a packet of 100 postcard stamps. No, they have five left. FIVE stamps.

This place is so slow, unprofessional, and bureaucratic. I stood in line for 25 minutes-- there was only 1 person ahead of me (yes, they spent 25 minutes processing 1 order)!!! Mind you, there were 10 people in line behind me and only 1 clerk actually helping customers... the rest of them were just milling around, doing nothing. Then, after 25 minutes, the clerk decides to announce that the credit card machine is broken and I would have to wait another 15 minutes for the other employee on the other register to begin working so that she could process my order with her credit card machine. WTF???!!! A) Why couldn't you have told me this 25 minutes ago? and B) Why the heck can't you get on the other register and help a customer who's been waiting for 25 minutes??!! So ridiculous!!! I hope this branch will go bankrupt and close soon. These employees would never have a job if they worked in this manner for an actual business. read more

Worst post office experience ever. Long lines, dirty, and understaffed with lazy employees. It took me 25 minutes to mail something with only two people in line before me. Use UPS or FedEx instead, trust me the premium will more than pay for itself in the time you save. read more

I work in the city and I decided to use this post office to make a quick overnight delivery. The whole experience was draining. I went at 11 am and you would think that because it is close to lunch hour, the place would be staffed with more than one person. It was not. There was one person working. Well, at least that person would be quick and efficient, right? No. What should have taken 5-10 minutes at most took a soul-sucking 40 minutes. The funny thing is, when I looked up post office locations, I saw the low average rating for the location but I disregarded it because I figured people hate going to the post office in general. No, this place is truly special in its inefficiency, lack of supplies, and service. Never again will I go to this place to mail anything. read more

I normally use the post office on Beverly Drive just north of Olympic for small shipments. However, when I have larger items to be shipped I use the Post Office on Maple, but to my surprise the location was closed. Someone mentioned the one on Crescent, and I was shocked I didn't know about it. Now I wish I would have yelped it! I must of have had the same "lovely lady" everyone else is referring to in the posts below. I could not believe what I was experiencing, which was the world's worst customer service. She claimed that she was doing her job by constantly asking me a lot of questions, which I replied several times, I would like to send the envelopes via the old fashion mail. She argued with me on everything I said and was down right rude! When I left I had to double check my receipt to make sure she was capable of doing her job, like she told me she was doing several times. However, I did find that she made a mistake and almost rang me twice for the same location. Please save yourself the trip, and please find a different location. People always love to say how terrible the Post Office is. It's a common experience, like the DMV, that you just have to go through. Idk if you've noticed lately, but the DMV is upping their game. At least you can make an appointment online and get into a slightly shorter line when you arrive. The Post Office, on the other hand, makes the Pony Express look like the height of technology, and this one in particular is egregiously awful. First things first, the good: you can park in a garage for free. That's it. The service is borderline hostile and almost purposefully slow. I have never seen more than one employee working at a time. The merchandise racks are empty and some are broken. It looks like something out of East Germany. Heaven help you if you ask for a pen -- you won't get one. You have to use the pen at the filthy kiosk. May I remind you, this is the Beverly Hills Post Office. Not the bougie neighborhood mind you -- the tragic little facility you're forced to use if you have to ship a package and you live in the vicinity. This place deserves every one-star review it receives. read more

Everyone seems to hate this post office, but I actually think this is one of the better post offices I have visited. Maybe I go there at off-times, but I've never experienced more than a 5 minute wait and the staff has been more friendly and helpful than any other post office I've ever been to. Normally I expect at least a 10-15 min wait and rude staff so this place is quite the pleasant surprise. read more

Literally the worst post office I have ever been to. Will NEVER come back here!! One woman working behind the counter with a line of 20 people. She was incredibly rude and yelled at every single customer. It's not our fault that you are running late for your lunch break. No one wants to hear you complain about your job. I completely concur with every negative review written. I come to LA on business, and I often need to ship things via the post office. I went to this location years ago to ship something, and there were about a dozen people in line in front of me. The sole postal agent was taking care of some idiot woman who hadn't properly wrapped her parcel. Instead of telling her how to wrap it correctly and asking her to step aside to do it so she could help the others waiting, the postal agent spent over 10 minutes rewrapping the package for the woman. I counted the minutes because I couldn't believe this level of incompetence. There are circumstances where efficiency needs to trump kind assistance, and this was one of those times. That's what makes the difference between someone good at their job and someone who's a failure. If this postal worker did it out of some sadistic power trip obsession, she completely succeeded in pissing off everyone. I would rather crawl on my hands and knees to a FedEx office before I'd ever visit this hellhole again. read more

If I could give a negative # of stars, I would. NEVER GO HERE! There is one slow(complaining) clerk who complains she has been the sole (slow) employee for the past year. I waited 45 minutes as the line inched forward. When I reached the counter she barked at me "No rolls of stamps!" This is the US Post Office! What else do you have to sell but stamps??? I don't even care about the design. My stamp choices in late January for sheets on stamps only were (1) religious Christmas (2) vintage circus and (3) ugly can't-tell-what-it-is. This post office is like a bad circus so I took those - but she *refused* to sell me the 100 stamps I needed and would only sell me 96, because that is what fits neatly on the sheets of 16 stamps each. Mail and packages are piled up 4' high on the empty lobby customer-accessible counters. The floor is dirty. The customer slots for mailing supplies like certified and registered mail slips - empty. Change of address forms - one torn slip in the slot. Old people standing in the line continually begged younger people to save their places and then hobbled over to the wall to lean on it or perch along a low counter to wait their turns. The walls are bleak and if there were ever postal items for sale, they are long gone. The Postmaster General should just close this location. It is worse than having nothing at all.
