My only gripe is when I have a package that will not fit in my mailbox and sometimes they leave it at my door without ringing the door bell. I'm retired and have the luxury of staying home if I'm expecting a package. This almost became a bigger issue when they did this on a day forecast for rain. The box had heating system air filters. Luckily it didn't rain too hard or those filters could have been ruined. -2 stars I've had only one issue with mail not being delivered in my 5 years at this address. When I called they confirmed with their GPS that the mailman did reach the correct location and sent a guy out to check the other mailboxes and go door to door to ask the other residents if they had it. It was in the mailbox above mine. This was resolved within 30 minutes of me calling. +1 star read more

The USPS employee at desk could not have been ruder. She was dismissive of my issue that their Incompetent postal delivery worker created. I would give them zero stars if available. The Post Office is what it is. What makes it great are the ladies at the counter. The two Marissa's. They help me every single time. These are probably the best people there aside from my mail person Teresa. She's amazing too. I love when I go there and see at least one of the Marissa's because I know I will get the help I need. I will.day that there is another person on the windows that isn't as helpful. She has a bit of an attitude. I dread seeing her because I know, the attitude is coming. My issue is that I haven't been able to receive mail address to me at my home address for the past year and a half. It's a real problem. My residence is actually an independence however when my daughter moved out 2 years ago she turned in a change of address but when she did she only wrote, "The _______ Family" instead of just her own name. So since then all of my mail was going to her new address. Long story short, I've already went to the Independence post offices, multiple times explaining my problem, following their instruction to make a change of address and all the steps to fix it. Still not getting mail. Finally decided to go to blue springs post office, maybe they are a little more competent. That was a ridiculous expectation. The unhelpful and unprofessional white lady that I spoke to clearly decided from the start that she wasn't going to go out of her way to look into anything. Her solution was for me to start with Independence. Obviously she missed that part when I was explaining the situation to her. Also it was after 3:30 so probably too close to quitting time for her to further assist me. I didn't expect blue springs to be even more incompetent than Independence but you learn something new all the time. read more

I wish I could give it zero stars. I absolutely despise this branch of the post office. These people are the most rude, unhelpful, unhappy employees I have ever seen. I try to do all of my in-person postal errands out at Grain Valley just to avoid coming here. It is always dingy and dirty, and the customer service is absolutely horrid. Most of the packages I receive that have had to go through this office have been smashed up and damaged. One of them even had tire treads and FOOTPRINTS on it! The contents were unusable and it had to be returned and resent. They have lost several packages that showed in the system as being at their facility, and then magically found them weeks later and delivered them, looking like they had been used for football practice or someone did jumping jacks on them. The old branch near downtown was much better, I'm still sad they closed that one. This one has ALWAYS been terrible, so why on Earth they chose to keep this one and close that one is beyond my comprehension. I think they kept the worst employees from both here at the BS office and sent the pleasant ones elsewhere. I tried once again to use this one for an outgoing package bc I was in a rush since it was 20 minutes before closing and it is so close to home; I needed tracking and a signature on the package, but the staff here was so rude that I left and drove out to Grain Valley the next day. I wish they would just close this branch down so my incoming packages could go through a different location, I honestly don't mind driving to Grain Valley and actually prefer that location for in-person business bc they are so much more pleasant. I'm certain incoming packages would be treated better there as well. read more

I do a lot of selling online through sites like Poshmark and Depop. I usually go to this post office for them to scan the QR code and ship it. One day, one of the workers told me they no longer scan QR codes despite it being addressed "USPS" like it normally does. Came back just recently, and apparently they're still scanning QR codes. It was time to renew my son's passport, so I made a 9:30 appointment on Saturday. When we arrived, there was a long, socially distanced line that snaked all the way through the post office boxes. Even with an appointment, we had to wait in line, but that wasn't a big deal at all because it's a very busy time for USPS. We made it to the front of the line at 9:42 and the lady that assisted us was very pleasant and efficient. She was also able to squeeze in additional passport photos (for mail renewals). This is the second time I've visited this post office for passport services and I've had superior experiences each time. read more

I moved into the area this post office serves. Upon arriving I am told I need to go into the office to pick up my mail keys. When I arrive I'm told they won't be ready for 3 days. 3 days?!? To change a lock?!? It's now been 7 days without access to my mail. I'm told someone will go and retrieve my mail/packages an deliver to my house. Well, it's been 2 days and I'm still waiting. Good job USPS. How am I supposed to explain to my child that Santa's gifts are stuck in a mail locker that I haven't had access to for a week now?!? read more

They consistently deliver mail to the wrong address over and over and over. Mom lives on the East side of town and an apartment building is just up the street, but on the WEST side of town. With apt numbers clearly marked, she gets flooded with apt mail when hers is a single residence. Many complaints have been made, but nothing changes. Wonder how much of her mail goes there, none has been returned like we are sure to do. We clearly mark the apt number and send it back immediately. Who knows if this will ever be fixed because that would take postal workers who really care. read more

went in to get a package and to ask about another package that got delivered. they only gave me the key to the parcel locker that had 1 of my 2 packages in. i was yelled at by 2 different workers, the worker that helped me was rude and consistently cut me off when i was speaking. she asked me questions that she would've known the answer to had she not cut me off and let me finish telling her the details about the situation. she slammed my change down on the counter in front of me. when she asked me for my name and phone number so the supervisor could get in touch, she rolled her eyes at me twice, and made me repeat myself multiple times when i was already on the verge of yelling my phone number at her, i was not whispering. i was already talking louder than i usually would having a normal conversation with someone. my experience was horrible and resulted in me feeling frustrated and angry with their horrible customer service. read more

How anyone can trust these people to deliver your mail or packages I don't know. In the course of one week, I had a piece of mail dropped in the street in front of the mailbox, only to be picked up and delivered by an honest neighbor. A couple of days later, a package misdelivered. That has happened multiple times in the last several years. I file an incident with the post office online each time. No one picks up the phone at this branch. Service is terrible, delivery is terrible. read more

I ordered a package to be delivered USPS. I saw by tracking number it was delivered so went to post office to tell them I didn't receive it. They have a GPS tracking system that shows it delivered to NE 6th, not NW 6th ( package was addressed correct, postman just doesn't know East from West) Post Master told me, that's too bad......should have bought insurance cause we consider it lost. I said its not lost you gave it to the wrong house and they wont return it. Very sad, and they wonder why people do not use USPS anymore. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
