This place is a convenient location. They allow 30 minutes of parking for free. Scott is a nice guy, the only issue I've had here that sometimes makes me hesitate coming in.. is a guy named Phil.. he was very kind and smiling with people, maybe he is racist? I walked up as normal asking questions telling him I am new here. He told me that even though my package said delivered... that I needed to wait until the next day because I don't have a QR code. I was very upset, I was adamant about getting my package because it was my only day off. After talking with the mail carrie, I decided to go into the line and let people cut until I could get another employee.. SCOTT!! He helped me RIGHT away, he walked me through it without having to tell him I was new.. he simply told me to look in the mailbox for a yellow slip, and it was that simple. Got my package for work on time. I wasn't going to leave a review but I was in Phil's line today and he completely ignored me and just got my package and when the surgery popped up on the screen of how the service was.. he clicked SATISFIED for me... how bold. This guy is very awkward to me around.. hopefully he changes his attitude to make people feel included. read more

I have had a PO Box at the Breckenridge Post Office for 40 years. I'm not going to renew it. Most of the staff at the Breck post office are friendly, helpful and competent, Mitch in particular. On the other end of the pendulum, you have Phil. I can't recall ever having a conflict with Phil, but he is rude to me every time we interact. He's always abrupt and monosyllabic when dealing with me. Today, after waiting in line for 5 minutes, Phil left his post when I was at the front of the line. He simply walked to the back. I could see his legs behind the shelves while he waited for someone else to serve me. The time before that he peremptorily waved me to the next clerk when it looked like he might have to serve me. Surly is the most accurate word to describe his attitude towards me. My taxes, PO Box fees, and the stamps I buy all contribute to his salary. If he were a tipped employee in the service business, he would starve. read more

Calling me on day of passport appointment to tell me they have no film for passport pic. Told me go get pics at walgreens before and on top of that, told me to bring checkbook all the day of appointment after I left the house. My schedule is tight and they had no courtesy to let me know at least a day before. Who carries checkbooks around?! read more

God forbid you get a package coming here without a PO Box. You will not get it. Even when I went in and filled out the form to hold a priority package I knew was coming and provided all the info with tracking number and phone number to contact me...never received a call it arrived! As a local, all our mail and deliveries go to this post office, and they are very helpful- nothing ever lost. Boss asked me to check business P.O. Box, did not expect to need my ID to retrieve a package (Why? Because every P.O. Box I've had personally, I've only ever been asked my name and they hand me the package.) Leslie asks for our yellow slips and says "have your id's ready" at which point I said "I didn't expect to be here so I don't have it on me, is there a chance the photo I have of it on my phone would work?" It would have been very simple and professional to say "No, I'm sorry you have to have the actual ID here" but NOOOOOO, Leslie sighs excessively loud, heavy with disdain, snatches the yellow card up and thrusts it back at me and condescendingly says, "BRING BACK A REAL ID." There was zero reason to speak to me so rudely and disrespectfully. None. If you can't handle answering a simple question, asked nicely, you should not be working with people in any capacity. (I ran back to work, grabbed my ID, came back in 3 minutes tops. As soon as she saw me she avoided me entirely. Feeling a little guilty about your behavior, Leslie? Oh don't get me started. I have stood on that dismal line with a yellow slip only to get to the counter and be told, "Oh, this was a mistake. It's not your package." Or, when I was mailing some books (I had the misfortune to have to interact with Josh) and I asked for the book rate he gave a snarky sneer and said he wasn't supposed to tell me that. Well the who Hell is- Willie the wino begging on the corner? I get mail addressed to names like Tan Ng, Shanda Banarjee, etc. but mail actually addressed to me like thank you cards and sympathy cards are sent back to the sender. Personal vendetta, much? One Sunday before Christmas there was a sign that the post office would be open from noon-three for package pick up. Well I was about 19th on line at 11:35 and Leslie didn't get there until 12:20 and expressed surprise that there was anyone there. Seriously?! read more

So, it takes them 2 days from when your package is delivered to them for them to give you the yellow slip to take to the front. If you kindly ask for you package before they get around to the stupid yellow slip, they yell at you and tell you you have to wait a few days until they get to it. The line is always ridiculously long because they'll only have 1 or 2 people helping at the front. The only times they are open is 8-5 and 10-1 saturday, which are the only times you can actually get your package with the slip, so if you get the slip you still can't get your package until they're open. We love our small town post office. Leslie always greets us with a smile, asks how we're doing, and she even knows our box number by heart now! Mike just helped us with our daughter's passport application and provided truly amazing customer service! This is actually why I wanted to come here to write a review on Yelp. He was awesome. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and provides good customer service. I haven't ever had any lost packages or issues of that nature. read more

Most people do not realize that EVERY post office has a POSTMASTER, the senior USPS official at any given location ... that person also has a boss up-line and so-on. The reputation of the USPS is known far and wide and nothing that I will say in this brief review should come as a surprise to anyone. I am asking myself even now why I feel even the slightest twinge of surprise after my hellish experiences at this specific branch. However, the consistency of terrible service I have received at the Breckenridge PO has left me shocked and very frustrated. Every time I exit this office I feel as if I should never have entered. I feel as if I have insulted the staff by my very presence there. Each time I approach the counter, I make an effort to present the respect and friendliness with which I, myself, would hope to be greeted. This seems to be utterly lost on each of the staff members I interact with as I repeatedly receive rude, short responses to basic inquiries. This week has included yet another set of unfortunate experiences at this establishment. 48 hours is apparently the amount of time one should expect a package to sit in this location before it will be ready for pick up. This will be no problem for anyone whose mail is unimportant to them. However, if you need to receive your mail in any semblance of a timely fashion, you, my friend, are screwed. Having worked in customer service, I understand the challenges of dealing with the needs of individuals on a daily basis, however, the level of apathy and rudeness that seems to be the standard here coupled with the snail's pace with which the work is accomplished is extremely frustrating. Why the hell did I pay for expedited shipping if my package is just going to collect dust for two days? I look forward to the days when this failing government agency is but a distant memory and companies with adequate standards of customer service and efficiency have taken over. read more

So they turned over staff, but they have left Josh in place as supervisor and poof mail disappears again. I went to the motor vehicle registration and they said that 3 people had been there ahead of me this afternoon because they hadn't gotten the stickers for their license plates. If you move to Breck and live in a family home expect to have all you mail returned to sender. Post office requires box holder to come in person with ID during COVID-19. Nothing can be done online either. We've lost 2 months worth of legal documents and financials. Spoke in person to manager who assured me my name was added to the box - 1 month later our mail continues to go missing. Horrible customer service. As a local and a retail business owner I have to say that since I have lived here (5 plus yrs) it has been a nightmare... This PO has had 5 post masters, none of which have improved the service in my time. This PO has lost, broken, or sent back mail to sender even when the address was completely correct. I am out over 1000 + bucks. I go to UPS now no matter how much extra it cost! Many of the locals tell me they go to Frisco to send their mail even if it is much further. We've dealt with them for 20 years and they cannot figure out how to implement their own change of address form. I go into the post office to get a package that said it was delivered. I have had packages delivered to my roommates P.O. Box before and then all the sudden they're telling me I can't do that anymore. The guy working there is talking to me like I'm an idiot as if I should know that you can't do that. I had gone to the P. Office 4/3/2020 to inquire on a letter sent on 3/26/2020 was sent certified mail and should have arrived the next day in Golden. I have been tracking it for over a week and say's it is still not delivered. I asked the worker what was going on with the letter and inquired where it was? He took the form to the back and told me someone was looking it us and to step away from the front. (rudely if I might add)!! He came back with the form gave it back and said they did not know where it was the letter was? I replied why did I send it certified mail? Hi rudely told me I needed to call Golden and I asked for the phone # he said he did not have it. BS. The Breckenridge PO has the most rude employee's I have ever dealt with and this is nothing new it has been going on for years. The post master needs to get some new blood in that office!! lets just say this post office sucks!!!!!!! i ordered a christmas present from pac sun and was shipped fexex, to the local post office. which they said went out for delivery and 'had the wrong address on it' so it never got delivered. which it had the correct address. so the post office sent it back to fed ex which was in kanas. so i finally get ahold of fedex and pac sun, come to find out now the gift is no longer available. f****k y***u. maybe you should get some responsible adults to work. read more
