Horrible US Post Office. They lost my passport and claimed that it was delivered to my mailbox when I'm the only person with mailbox keys. I could go on and on but the previous negative reviews are very accurate and true. As human beings, we may wake up one day and not be in the best moods, but everyone in there wake up everyday in the same exact mood. Customer service is so bad. But I'll leave it to the rest of the negative reviews to understand the things you will or may go through with this post office. Oh and did I mention, they lost my f**king passport! There is a specific carrier in this branch named YAO KU that is completely INCOMPETENT and VERY RUDE! He CLAIMED he delivered a parcel to my daughter's mailbox, in an apartment building, but the parcel wasnt in her mailbox! He didnt even leave a notification. My daughter found out about this because she got a text from the company that shipped the parcel, saying that it was delivered! When my daughter called the post office and spoke to YAO KU to find out where the parcel was, he started YELLING at her and told her that someone else must have her key! The only other person that has the key is my daughter's roommate and she has been in Kentucky for the last 2 weeks. So this YAO KU buffoon did something OTHER than deliver the parcel and is trying to play it off like he did. I have filed a formal complaint against him with the Postal Inspector's office for theft and misconduct. I will not stop pursuing this matter until this slacker with the piss poor attitude is dealt with. I will also demand to see or learn of what repercussions he faces because of his incompetency and horrible demeanor towards the very people he delivers to. read more

If i could give this place ZERO STARS i would. I spent an entire day trying to get through and NO ONE answered the phones. There is a general number for customer service but an actual person will never get on the phone with you and at the end it will just ring off the hook. Super disappointed with this shitty USPS customer service. I cannot believe it is the year 2017 and you can't answer a fucking phone! read more

If there was a less than 1 star rating, this place would have it. I've lived in my neighborhood for about 3 years and love everything about it, but having this place be my local post office makes me want to pull my hair out. I had a delivery scheduled for a Saturday and arranged to be home to wait for it. Stupid me. I waited all day for... no package. I checked the tracking and the website said :"Delivery attempted; notice left". I checked all over- nothing. I even did a perimeter search around my building, still nothing. Which means they left their notice on their brand new, state of the art invisible paper. I should have know; this is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened since I've been here. I waited until the next business day. to see if the delivery was attempted again. Last time it happened, they came back the next day. I figured the delivery person has to enter Something in the system to be able to leave. But I didn't see a notice- darn invisible paper. I called 800-ASK-USPS to find out what was up. After a 20 minute hold session, a complaint filed about the invisible notices, and a recorded call of a confirmed re-delivery for Thursday because I would not be home Wednesday- I come home on Wednesday to find...that little orange paper in my mailbox. Well what do you know, they stopped using the invisible paper. That was fast. So THEN, i scheduled yet another confirmed re delivery for Thursday- confirmation email and everything. About midday I realize it's getting pretty late and decide to be proactive. I call up the post office, because the tracking hasn't been updated, only to find out that my package is sitting there. With the wind chill outside, the temperature feels like 18 degrees- so maybe my package decided it didn't want to go out. I understand. I asked the clerk why it was there when I had a confirmation for re-delivery for that day. He left me know that if I had a confirmation number, I didn't have to worry because they trucks were coming back to the post office and would go out again later that day. Sigh of relief. As soon as I hung up the phone, I decided to call back and ask the clerk to personally give it to the driver since there had been so many problems with this little old package. I got someone else instead who put me through to the store supervisor. He got on the phone to let me know that he would not be sending his driver back to my address because she had been there twice when I wasn't home. Stop the presses. After explaining the above to him, he continued to tell me that the driver has been there for 20 years, and if she said she rang the bell, she rang the bell. I would need to come in to pick it up. I asked if it was fair that I had to take a bus in 18 degree weather with my 4 year old to pick up a package because they made an (singular- I was trying to take the nicer approach) error. He told me I did not have to take the bus, I could walk. Here is where I admit, the yelling began. The conversation ended with him saying there was no manager available, he was the highest I could get in the store, and gave me "his" name, (which I can only imagine is the name of his arch nemesis co worker) to file a report with consumer affairs. In sum- false deliveries are often reported, management is unavailable, and "supervisors" are less than competent. I can't wait to move. Until then, I'll make sure to have all my deliveries made to my parents. read more

BEWARE OF STELLA ON CONEY ISLAND AVENUE POST OFFICE!!!!!!! I'm not really reviewing this post office as a whole. My review (post office on Coney Island Avenue between ave. I and J) is for the service from one particular employee. Being that the line was long, I opted to use the self serve machine. I waited patiently for my turn. (turns out it was the same wait time on the regular line). I affixed the postage on my package and went on to put it in the package box. The box was locked. Now i needed to get my package into one of the windows so I can leave. Everyone was occupied and there is no way that i could get their attention. I found a window where the customer was waiting a little to the side , so i went ahead and politely asked where I can leave my postaged package. STELLA totally ignored me. Her customer then went ahead and tapped on the window and told her that i wanted to ask her a question....STELLA went ahead and responded "I Know" and went back to doing what she was doing. I went ahead and asked the person who was working next to her. He immediately opened the window and let me put my package in. 2 seconds...it took 2 seconds!!!! I told STELLA that I was going to file a formal complaint and I did. There is no reason for STELLA to treat anyone so rudely. read more

I can sign under every negative review about this "office". On June 15, 2017, when the intercome went off, I approached it and when asked "who is this", heard "rrrrrrrrrrr" as an answer. When later I went to get my mail in the lobby of the building, I found a slip stating that I need to pick up my package at the Postal Office on 1288 Coney Island Ave. Thanks! Especially considering the fact that I was staying home due to foot surgery. On June 16, 2017, I went to the office - like I had another option - with a heavy surgery boot on and a cane to get my a sandwich size plastic package, which could be left in my mail box in the building or at least normally informed about via intercome. Considering that the "office" always gives me a very low level of "service", I decided to let know the Manager about my experience. Her name was CLARA GRAY. When I began telling her about what took place, she simply walked away without excusing herself. When I found her in another window in the back of the "office", she looked away, when I talked to her, replied with a one word in an arrogant tone of voice and openly laughed at me and interrupted after every word I said. I am 59, and know very well, when someone is a bully. She is a BULLY. She is also very ignorant and hateful person. I could sense it with every cell of my body. The outcome: I left with nothing being humiliated by her disposition. Ms. or Mrs. CLARA GRAY! You didn't disgraced me, you did it to yourself. Hope, her Supervisor will read my review. She should not serve people because she does not know how to deal with them. Even one star doesn't represent the service and disposition I received. read more

I've been living in Midwood, brooklyn for about 3 yrs now and I have to say that this post off if is so absurdly inefficient its ridiculous. If I could give it negative stars I would. Under staffed and too small to serve the amount of costumers that go there on a daily basis. There is no place to just drop off packages, you have to wait in line and that in its self can sometimes take up to 45 min or more! Staff is short with people if not just straight rude. (To give credit where credit is due, the tall white guy with glasses is pretty helpful.) On top of it all I almost never receive any packages unless they can be stuffed into my mail box! They don't even leave a delivery slip! And then of cores my packages are sent back to the place of origin as if they never came. This place really needs be torn down and started again management and staff included. My advice: if you need to receive a large order, fed ex it or have it delivered to a reliable pick up spot, like your job. read more

This is the worst post office ever. They couldn't care less about customer service or doing their job properly. There's a major problem with their delivery system, when they just leave your packages with random people calling it "delivered to a neighbor as requested". I have never requested it, nor have I ever received any information from the post office which neighbor they left it with (I live in a big apartment building) causing me to lose my money and never get the merchandise I paid for. They refuse to reimburse me either. Their carriers are just lazy to take anything back to the office and to give the rightful owners a chance to pick up their package (I'm not even asking for a re-delivery at this point) so they just leave the packages with whoever they find in the building. Filing claims doesn't work either, they just send you a letter that there's nothing they can do, bla-bla-bla. My advise - send it your packages your job or use UPS or FEDEX. Maybe they are more expensive but at least you"ll get your stuff. read more

Unfortunately this is my neighborhood post office. Whenever i have a package that is scheduled to be delivered by USPS i have a problem. One time they lost my return to a store and i lost about $200 dollars in merchandise. Today however i received the worst possible customer service. I had a package that was scheduled to be delivered to my house. I specifically took the day off work to stay home and wait for my item. At about 3pm my dad comes home with a notice saying we missed the delivery. I need this package ASAP due to an event i have to attend on Friday. I immediately begin to call USPS to speak with customer service about a re-delivery or pick up. After an about 30 minute hold time (with no answer) i decided to run to the post office as it was going to close in the next hour. When i get there and finally reach a person to go get my package i am told that the carrier is not back yet. At this time i proceeded to explain to the teller (an extremely rude man unfortunately i did not get his name) that i was home all day and no one rang my bell. He harshly responded with an attitude in his tone that all the carriers ring every bell. This is not the first time i am having this problem with USPS. I got quite irritated and asked the teller what i should do next he said wait till tomorrow. I explained that i needed the package now he did not even look at me while speaking to me an did not want to talk to me he specifically said that he would not talk to me. I wanted to know if the package was going to attempted to be redelivered or if it would be there tomorrow (because i need it ASAP). I did not want a mishap to happen again. I have never encountered such rude customer service in my life. That whole post office is a mess. I dread every time i have a package that i scheduled to be USPS because there is always a problem. I work in an optical i know sometimes mistakes happen but at least apologize and take responsibility. I am absolutely disgusted with the service i received today. I really hope this post office gets restaffed or the current staff need a huge attitude adjustment as well as better training for the carriers. read more
