Just a heads up, make sure you triple, triple bubble wrap your item. I had a customer buy an expensive heirloom that would be shipped to Australia. So after using bubble wrap and packing paper to get the not move result. I also put pictures in color on the items to make them aware of the item inside the box. So you ship it out and hope for the best, well it didn't happen that easy meaning pictures, bubble wrap, and the packing paper did NOTHING! It was broken to pieces and the awful part is it can't be replaced. So even though I bought the insurance (which I thought they only had one) it only covers up to $200. However, the item was 189.99 but the sale was 233.04. I supposedly am getting the item price but not the full sale price and on top of that I can resell the broken item and I can't be compensated for that even though this postal service is responsible. I didn't throw the package or placed it on the bottom of a heavy package whatever happened has caused me to lose twice. I also have another issue that has happened because of them and once again it was' another heirloom that can't be replaced. I doln't get it the driver's make a bunch of money but they don't seem to care. Anyways the point of this is to just make you aware try and do all you can before shipping the item get insurance ALWAYS put insurance on your items and then hope for the best that it doesn't happen to you. If they"_ weren't the cheaper shipping companies I would have never gone through them to send an item at all. I really hope this works for whoever reads this and good luck .

This place reminds of how post offices use to look with all the grandeur that you expect from the…read morepost office. Back in a time when a stamp didn't cost more than a small pack of candy. Back when the post office was a place where people ran into each other. Back when you really needed to visit a post office to send items, not now when you can have items picked up at your door. This particular post office was at one time very well used, you can tell by the way that certain items inside have that well used look, including the doors that lead you inside. With most older post offices it is rather dim on the inside and for some odd reason that makes us want to be quiet while we are in here, do we relate that to the fact that it looks like a library. Service was top notch, the lady behind the counter was as swift as the machine would let her be. Smiled when I approached and made me feel welcomed.

This part of town doesn't get home mail delivery because it's mostly rentals so I had to pick up…read morepackages I had ordered to our lake house. The post office is small but has a surprising number of parking spots given its size. There is social distancing signage inside and outside the building and plastic sheets to separate customers from employees. The clerks are friendly and helpful and efficient. Glad this is so close to the home. Most Amazon orders arrive within the next day.

The clerks are very serious about credit cards--yours has to be signed or they won't take it. Kind of a pointless rule since you can sign it on the spot and suddenly it's valid. One clerk asked me for two forms of ID since my card wasn't signed--seriously? Is there that much credit card fraud at post offices? Oh well--no other choice here unless you want to go to the next town over!

Do yourself a favor, take your special mailings / packages anywhere but the Murrysville Post Office!
