It's the post office. What do you expect? You give them a little money and they transport your message or item to almost anywhere in the world. That's pretty remarkable when you think about it. Your wait here will be dictated by how busy they are when you arrive. The workers are efficient and get people what they need as quickly as they can. Nearly always the delays I have witnessed were customers who didn't know what they wanted, or wanted something the post office can't do. Sometimes it is difficult to know which form is needed to get tracking and insurance (for example), but they will tell you and then let you come back once you're ready without having to go to the line again. It's not like this will be a meaningful experience, but for the utilitarian purpose of mailing something the post office is great. read more

This Post Office always has and I mean always has a line, but it's so close to my house so what am I to do. I've tried going in the morning, noon time, close to closing doesn't matter always a line. All windows opened, a few windows opened always a line. Now that it has construction outside on the street it makes it a hassle to get to. I hope the construction outside will make it easier to in and out of. If they opened their parking to the gas station next door it would make it easier to drive in or out off. Worthless. First they failed to deliver my package. I rescheduled for delivery the next day. They never delivered it. I went in person to pick up package. provided ALL info and they could not "find" it. I was asked to leave phone number and they would call me back. Never did. wife went back later that same day and was given same answer. she was persistent and was eventually given the package. read more

This place can be busy at times so it's hit and miss. They do have everything you need supply wise but I usually come prepared. Staff is fine but it can take a while to get to packages with a delivery slip. The parking lot is scary coming in as there is a blind corner where the entrance is. read more

This is my favorite usps location. It is out of the way for me, but the customer service is what makes me return time and time again despite the detour. Our side hustle has me coming to the post office multiple times per week, Jorge makes the experience pain free and fast! Jorge has taken the time to get to know us a bit since we are there so often. He will recommend that we repackage or use flat rate boxes or envelopes to send off the items saving us a couple dollars on shipping for heavier items. It can be busy at times, but they will be diligent about it and pull more employees to help with the long lines. Plenty of parking and drive thru for mail drop. Next time you are in there try to have Jorge assist you, he makes it easy when it comes to peculiar packaging and shipping. read more

Honestly, Chandler Post Office is pretty great. While there are sometimes lines, there are always enough workers manning the stations that they go by quickly. Often they have someone walking through asking people in the line what they need, in order to help speed up the process. Parking is usually plentiful and workers have always been very friendly and efficient in my experience. Special shout out to Jorge because he rocks! read more

Nice, clean & organized location... but I kind of want to know WHY I placed my basic letter envelope on the scale, paid for a stamp that cost excess in postage due to weight AS THE SCALE CALCULATED IT... yet, the recipient in the next town over was forced to pay EXTRA when the USPS carrier refused to deliver until "postage due" was "paid"??? Why did I go in, weigh the envelope, PAY for an upgraded stamp reflecting the cost but the recipient is forced to pay (actually DOUBLE the cost of the postage I had already paid)?! That seems like either a big mistake or intentional raising rates/charging more without transparency in reasoning. There is no reason my recipient should have owed on postage for a letter envelope upwards of what I paid to initially cover it in sending, especially when it was being mailed from Chandler to Mesa! Funny how the one I mailed states away to Tennessee didn't have an issue- SAME EXACT MAILER! And that one cost LESS, even! Both were weighed on the same scale within minutes of each other, paying & dropping each into the outgoing box. I'll make sure to hand-deliver in town instead of being ripped off DOUBLE again. And use a different carrier for out of town. I just feel bad for my recipient. How awful is it that someone tries to send you a nice card out of kindness & you end up having to PAY for that because of a greedy government function?! Gross. read more

You can't even reach a human being anymore concerning an issue. My mail carrier keeps sticking large boxes in my mailbox that I can't get out because they're larger than the door in which I need to pull it out. I want to scream. I have to take a box cutter to it to get it out of my mailbox. I'd like to voice my complaint and get it stopped, but no one cares. They shield you from any human being working there. This is my go-to Post Office. The self serve machines have always worked. I went before the holiday so there was a long line of course. The employees seem nice and my interactions with them have always been positive. My only complaint would be that sometimes it seems that the employees working the counter spend a little too much time chatting it up with the customers. Really, it's fine and I've come to expect it. I really was not looking forwards to going to the post office to pick up a letter for signature. My experience has always been aggravating at post offices, with long lines and impatient people, and mean employees. To my surprise there was no one in line when I showed up at 3pm on a Thursday. There were two people behind the desk, and I got quick help from a really friendly postman. The other attendant next door was also making friendly conversation with the lady next to me. It was a very nice experience, and I would definitely use that location again soon. read more

I would give negative stars to this post office if I could. They constantly deliver mail to wrong addresses or do not deliver at all. I was supposed to get a package guaranteed delivery by 8pm last Tuesday. When it didn't show, I tracked the package and saw that it has been rescheduled for delivery the next day. I was at home all day the next day waiting for the package since it required signature confirmation but it was another no show. When I tracked again, the package is being sent back to where it's originally from. I then contacted the office right away and still haven't gotten an answer on what happened to the package. I have been to this post office many times in the past, the people who work behind the counter are usually very nice and I appreciate them... HOWEVER today there was a line so I used the self service computer to mail a package. I paid $12.+ for 2 days but it said it would be delivered on Thursday, today is Monday...that is not 2 days. There was a man working there with short dark brown hair and mustache and beard and wore glasses. Wearing plain clothes and a name badge that was turn around but I believe it said Don. When I asked him WHY 2 days is 4 days I got a totally condescending attitude that everything is going ground and that the package could be delivered in 8 days because there are no flights and that that is just how it is and there are no refunds so I can file a complaint but that is how it is. SERIOUSLY? USPS is having financial difficulty and this is your customer service. I felt like I just got screwed at the casino and just made a $12+ donation to USPS! I grabbed my package and spent $23 at Fedex to ensure delivery. USPS just lost a customer! read more

I've been in 3 or 4 times before. On a previous visit an employee (not at the window) noticed how long the line was and stepped in to help speed things along. This was great! Most branches don't seem concerned how long the lines get. Today, I went in to mail a package and didn't have tape at home. I need about six inches of clear packing tape to seal my box. Instead of using the roll on the counter, the clerk said I had to go buy some. I know stamp prices continue to rise, but every time I've mailed a package in the past they have inspected it and usually added tape to mine. Guess it depends on who is working that day whether you'll receive great service or poor service. read more

I hate going to the post office, not gonna lie. This one was decent though. It was clean, had everything for priority mail was stocked up, and service was relatively efficient (wait was about 5 minutes in line). Postal workers were very friendly, but some spoke in pretty broken english. Totally understandable, but frustrating when your trying to get your package mailed and get back to work. Parking lot was decent as well. The true test will be if they have enough staff at Christmas! read more

Oh good gawdddddd! I can't believe the line of people at this location. Don't get me wrong, the postal workers were very nice but I felt like I was at the DMV. Hot, super long line, and I feel like I spent forever there. I had a package that was completely ready to go with the prepaid label and everything! I wish there was a line for people like me who literally just need to drop off a huge, but 100% completed package. But instead, I had to wait for the millions of people ahead of me who had about 10 little packages and weren't ready at all! I have to avoid this place at all cost considering people are rude & inconsiderate of the people who are already set & ready to go.
