I went to this post office to mail a package and some Valentines Day cards yesterday. It was a Saturday so there was a line (to be expected on a day most people don't work). I was there about 1 hour 15 minutes before closing. The staff was friendly and professional. There were 2 people at the counter. They attended everyone on the line pretty quickly. So I was out in 10-15 minutes. It was awesome!! I noticed that more people arrived an hour before the post office was scheduled to close. So keep in mind there's a longer wait the closer you get to closing time. read more

I had the most frustrating experience with service--it was truly the worst. When we arrived, there were only four customers. My family of infant, toddler and spouse was repeatedly shuffled between different front desk staff for a passport. The first lady instructed us to file a form, promising we'd be next. The next lady assured us that the other lady at the end would assist us because she specialized with passport processing. After an hour of waiting, once the lady was done with another customer passport, she said she it looks busy and let me help them quickly. After assisting three customers and she telling us to leave and schedule an appointment. read more

This review is for the passport renewal process. We planned a somewhat last minute international trip and my son's passport was expired. We were fortunate to be able to schedule a passport renewal appointment at this Post Office fairly quickly. We gathered all of the required documents and headed to our appointment. When we arrived, the passport line was very long. However, I learned later on that that line was for people without an appointment. I entered through the door where you drop off mail and/or purchase items with an employee. I let them know we had an appointment and they said they would call our name shortly. A few minutes later, a gentleman behind the counter called our name and got started. We quickly learned we were missing one piece of document. He let me know I could print it at the nearby library and come right back. I thanked him and we headed over to the nearest library. We were maybe gone for 15-20 minutes and the same gentleman assisted us when we returned. The other line for passport didn't seem to die down, by the way. I highly recommend making an appointment. We paid for rush which they said could take six weeks or longer. We had less than six weeks before our trip, and by some miracle, my son's passport arrived a WEEK before our departure! Phew. Very grateful for the helpful gentleman who assisted us. He was quick and thorough. read more

The staff here are all so nice!!! The line is fast pace. I like that they are back to leaving the door unlocked for after hour self checkout services . There's plenty of parking onsite! The guys who work here are really good at getting chatterbox humans in and out so that the line moves along which is why I love going here to mail items. They all deserve big raises and a Month off for doing awesome jobs during the Holiday rush!!! They are also awesome with passport renewals and making sure that you're doing them correctly to avoid delays! I'm on my third passport and they seem to arrive back faster whenever I prices them here vs other post offices. Some raciest behavior from a white (I only preface this since she seems to notice or *not* notice) middle aged worker named Nicki; repeatedly skipped over the young African American girl that was in front of me as I was called up for no good reason before her. For all I know, it could have been an honest mistake, but I looked around confused and saw she did too, then asked her if the lady just... and paused; both assuming a racist moment, and she said shrugged and replied, "Yep" like she was used to it. Again, I am not sure if Nicki was intentional about this or didn't notice at all, but the girl and I sure did as it left quite an uncomfortable feeling for us and whoever else may have witnessed. I'm not sure what else to say about this except; greet each customer individually and look at us all with a fair opportunity to be seen next, and to be seen equally. *TIP - If you have a slip to pick something up* Don't be shy like me and patiently wait your turn because apparently, you don't have to! read more

I recently moved here and was having trouble with my mail. I've called the post office quite a few times now and Bill has gone above and beyond every time. He took the time to tell me all the steps in changing my address, looked it up to make sure it worked and sorted through all the incoming mail for any that could be mine. He did this two, maybe three times. He also alerted the mail carrier that delivers to my street of my mail issues. I first called around Christmas time and even through all the chaos, he gave great customer service. There even were occasions where he wanted to search every single area my mail could be at and would take that time to look and then would give me a call back. I've called so much that at this point I almost feel like I am an annoyance but Bill has had nothing but patience with me. Bill has restored my faith in the postal system. read more

I purchased a property in Chandler and had been going back and forth with the Post Office with a re-keying request for our mailbox since a Mailbox Key was never provided by previous owners. It took a few weeks for the request to finalize since their contracted locksmith contact had caught covid19. Jerry was extremely helpful in following up and making sure we got our key after a few failed attempts. Jerry was extremely professional and patient. read more

I needed to drop off mail and I was in this area. Through an internet search on my mobile phone, I found this post office. I thought it would be a convenient stop since I was right down the street. Finding this post office was not the problem - finding the mail drop off was! It was pouring down rain and I couldn't see any letter drop-off boxes. Then, I saw the letter drop boxes on the side of the parking lot. Drove over to where I could see the drop boxes and what looked like the entry driveway. Found out that it was actually the exit! Had to drive all the way around the side of the building to get to the entry driveway, just to drop off some mail. I would not recommend this post office if you are not a native and not familiar with the driveway entries/exits! It was extremely confusing! read more

I tried to get my mail from my PO Box today. Instead of being 24/7 the lobby is closed from 6pm-6am according to postings due to security issues (from November 2020 that haven't been addressed). I went at almost 8am and everything was locked up so I couldn't access my box. read more

Looking at the bad reviews on here and it's mostly people who are upset that the post office has federally been de-funded (and laws pass that force money to be set aside instead of USED). Please don't take this out on the workers! Most of them are over 45 hours a week and just as tired as we are of covid rules. With that being said- this location is often times very busy, but the employees are sweet and as helpful as they can be while following the strict rules/laws they HAVE TO FOLLOW. It's always clean, organized and they even usually have their flat rate boxes in stock! I've used post offices literally all over the US. Very impressed with the service at this post office! Even though the line was long, employees worked diligently to move everyone through efficiently. When it was our turn, we worked with Charles at the counter, and he was fantastic. We were shipping our passports for renewal, and he went over every requirement with us to ensure nothing was missed. He then added some extra tape to our shipping label to ensure smooth delivery. Throughout the entire interaction, he was friendly and very pleasant to work with. Came in for a passport appointment for our newborn. Waited in line and once we got to the window, we asked for an application to complete. We stepped aside to complete the application. Once we complete the application we return to the window and then we would help us. They also took our babies picture and finish processing your application. read more

Is it just me or is anyone else having issue the mail being delivered incorrectly? I've complained serval times about receiving the wrong mail in my mailbox and my mail being delivered across town. It's the US Post Office. I did not interact with any employees as I was there to grab boxes. As you walk in there are several areas to grab priority boxes. They were fully stocked and looked organized. There was a long line but hey, it's the holidays. There was a kiosk right as you enter as well so you could avoid the lines all together, probably what I will opt to do. The reason I deducted a star was because the parking lot is a nightmare. Seems very narrow and you can only go in one way out the other. Had to wait forever just to backup and pull out. read more

It's a post office so what is there to say. It is a main location so they carry more stamp choices than the smaller locations. They have cards and gift wrapping supplies that you can buy. I havent had any bad interactions with employees and the line generally moves pretty fast when I am here. One of the better choices for post offices in the area. read more

Able to do what other post offices couldn't. Also very friendly here! I worked with Kisandrea and Gail on resolving an issue. I went to neighboring post office at 1900 W Carla Vista Dr needing to ship to an APO army base and they told me they couldn't ship the item. It was a user error in using their own system as I had everything I needed. I called this location and explained and Kisandrea said to come to this location and they'd figure it out and get me taken care of because I had everything I needed and what I was trying to do shouldn't be a problem. They helped me in less than 10 mins and the atmosphere was much brighter at this location than the other. A lady named Gail was there and she had a nice helpful attitude and said she had retired from working there for around 41 years. I'd recommend this location based on my experience. As of today the hours online (on maps app, which I believe pulls from yelp?) are posted as closing at 5pm. I walked in at 4:32 and the inside door was shut, and an employee came out to tell me they are closed and when I said they have hours posted online as 5pm closing she said I know but we close at 4:30 and it's wrong, and promptly shut the door. I know it was the end of the day and it's not a high paying job, but her tone was rude. There were still people in line inside and it would have been very easy to just add me to the line if she cared about customer service and accountability. She knew about the error.
