Right now living in a small town [Molalla Oregon 97038] I buy enough stamps at one time to last me 6 months. Over the last 50 years including my time in the military which includes my time in Vietnam my mail has always been delivered on time in a friendly manner! No complaints to really speak of? Our postal service does a excellent job considering the amount of mail in the tons that passes thru their hands each day? 5 stars*****!

I went inside, and the lobby is huge! There was only one customer ahead of me, who was chatting with the clerk. The were both in a good mood. When it was my turn, I remarked how nice this Post Office is. The clerk said not to come during the holidays, because this place will be packed.

And these magicians at USPS manage to not to lose, break or screw up the wacky valuables I put in their handy FREE shipping boxes. They not only have boxes, if you go online you can have said boxes delivered to your door. You can also have your mailman stop by your house and pick up your packages so your cute lazy ass can stay all bundled up in the house writing yet another compelling listing. Though they aren't the solution for HUGE or super heavy items (not so good there) they are amazing and I am proud of our post office to have delivered every single item I have ever shipped with them in a timely and professional manner. FYI, the line here is sometimes too long at lunch time and near the holidays so I avoid it when possible by having my mailman come to my house. Maybe a big advertising genius needs to revamp the old "going postal" saying & put a positive yet hip spin on it??

I made an appointment to get a passport and waited weeks for the time to come. I read all the…read moredirections carefully and had all my paperwork ready. They made me stand there and wait for the exact time of the appointment, even though they weren't doing anything else. The passport appointment started out OK, until they revealed something shocking that they hadn't advised me about in any of the instructions: The only payment they can take is cash or money order. This is a crazy requirement considering the high cost of a passport, and no one carries that kind of cash with them nowadays. I made a mad dash to some banks and my home and somehow managed to scrape together the cash. But when I returned to the post office, I was informed that the passport person had simply run off without saying a word to me, and now there was no one there who could help me, plus it would take weeks for me to get another appointment. This office robbed me of hours of my time and accomplished nothing. I drove 15 miles to find a Post Office with people who actually knew what they were doing, and they were able to get the whole thing sorted out even without an appointment. As a final bonus middle finger, I have no idea if I owe them money for the pictures they took, since they bailed in the middle of the process. I called them to ask, and their phone just rang and rang. No answer and no voicemail.
