I had a short asian woman who was instantly dismissive and could not care less for what I had to say. After waiting for 40 minutes to send my first package we got up there and were told to get in the back of the line because we forgot a box that was literally a few feet from us. read more

I made an appointment to get a passport and waited weeks for the time to come. I read all the directions carefully and had all my paperwork ready. They made me stand there and wait for the exact time of the appointment, even though they weren't doing anything else. The passport appointment started out OK, until they revealed something shocking that they hadn't advised me about in any of the instructions: The only payment they can take is cash or money order. This is a crazy requirement considering the high cost of a passport, and no one carries that kind of cash with them nowadays. I made a mad dash to some banks and my home and somehow managed to scrape together the cash. But when I returned to the post office, I was informed that the passport person had simply run off without saying a word to me, and now there was no one there who could help me, plus it would take weeks for me to get another appointment. This office robbed me of hours of my time and accomplished nothing. I drove 15 miles to find a Post Office with people who actually knew what they were doing, and they were able to get the whole thing sorted out even without an appointment. As a final bonus middle finger, I have no idea if I owe them money for the pictures they took, since they bailed in the middle of the process. I called them to ask, and their phone just rang and rang. No answer and no voicemail. read more

Sad, underwhelmed staff. Desultory. Plain. Stiff. They could be poor replicate forms straight outta Rick and Marty. I think I saw one of them blip. Sad, sorry, useless 'self service ' machine is a joke. Don't bother using it to mail a book or anything media rate. It doesn't recognize it or offer the option. So, all that weighing and measuring for naught... it offers Priority or First Class. At much higher rates. Go figure rip off post office, hideously behind the times. Had a great experience with applying for a passport. The parking lot was good. The wait was short. And the staff were polite and friendly. They helped me through the complicated process of getting a passport with great skill and kindness. They have good knowledge of the government needs. read more

So I took the day off for renewing my little sisters passport, we got to to the post office and when the worker asked how he could help I told him we had an appointment for a passport renewal. He said "we have another appointment coming in so if you can stand y the door meanwhile we'll decide if we can help before the appointment" I said great thank you and we stranded waiting patiently by the door. When he called us over he said "where is your form" I said "I'm sorry we still don't have it filled out would you guys have any on hand" he said "yes there over there on the table, but you'll have to come in tomorrow or schedule an appointment and we do take walk ins" I couldn't understand why he was telling us to come back tomorrow or schedule an appointment since I would have taken no longer than 5 mins to fill out the application. So I filled it out and went back inside to see if there was any chance they could help. The same guy who "helped" us out said "no there is no way we can do it since we're short staffed and we have appointments coming in every 15 minutes." Honestly bad customer service especially since it was not busy at all. Keep in mind I'm not a person to write reviews but this really upset me, taking the day off to get something done and not being able to do it. If I had been given a "hey do you have your form" while I waited I would have completed my form or 5 mins to complete it would have gotten done. I've never seen a more underserved, underwhelmed establishment. They are already too lazy to deliver packages to addresses so they make you visit their most unpleasant "post office". When you get there, you know you aren't welcome and the staff clearly hate their jobs. If this were a private business, they'd be OUT of BUSINESS long ago. read more

I downloaded yelp just so I could tell you how terrible the Wilsonville post office is. They have the most unprofessional carriers I've ever seen. My wife and I went in vacation for a week and the carrier put a "vacant unit" slip in our mail box and returned all of our mail to the senders. Now I'm trying to contact everyone to get my mail back. I never thought my life would be at a point where I'm leaving a review for a post office. However since the average review is 2 stars, I know I'm not the only one having problems. Pointless government funded establishment EVER. I prepared to send my packages all day Saturday and arrived at 10:58 a.m. to drop them off real quick to the counter, and the door was already locked and the blinds pulled down. These post office workers have no respect for the community they serve. We pay for these people's paychecks and they can't even stay open for the hours they posted?! Ya know, for being the only post office in town, you'd think they'd at least be able to do their jobs correctly. I don't understand why it's so hard for 2 day pre-paid postage to never make it where it needs to be. I sent a friend a few of his personal effects over a week ago after he moved to Florida, and he still hasn't received them. These aren't things like socks, we're talking journals and works for short fiction and stuff like that. I'm beside myself that I'm now being held responsible for this loss because, I assume, the package was lost. This isn't the first time we've had issues. If I'm not mistaken, we've had to replace the postmaster in recent history, yet the employees are the same. Doesn't look like anyone is doing much of anything about the problems . . .2 starts . . . come on Wilsonville post office, do better! read more

Seriously? You guys need a lesson in customer service. I thought that a post office out in bfe would be much more in-'n'-out than ones in Portland. So, I go out to this post office in Wilsonville...this building is enormous...and it's in the middle of nowhere, and it's like 9 a.m. on a Monday. Most people should be at work. I open my trunk and unload the six huge boxes full of heavy shoes. Yes, our company has several carriers, but these are special. They're APOs--military people who decide to order fancy shoes--and they have to be hand delivered to the post office. There's not much of a line, and I'm delighted to see two people at the registers. There are two people ahead of me. As I try to juggle these boxes, people just stare. And as time goes on, I see that only one of the people at the front are actually helping the now growing line of customers. The other person--some lady who is bs-ing with her coworker--doesn't even think of pausing what she's doing to help out. Oh, la! About 10 or 15 minutes later (keep in mind, I was toward the FRONT of the line), it's my turn, but only because someone else decided to show up for work, and this was after she took her sweet time unloading her stuff. I was told that the post office gets tons of APOs, and knows exactly what to do with them, so I shouldn't have to even answer any questions. This lady...she looked like she had no idea what I was doing there. She was totally patronizing, trying to tell me that the USPS carrier should just be able to pick up the APOs, and then I wouldn't have to drop them off. And then she kept on confusing me, saying yes the carrier could pick them up, and then no they couldn't, and back and forth and back and forth. Not to mention the evil lady doing nothing at the till next to her kept on trying to give her opinion on the situation, making matters worse. Mailing six APOs, after I got to a teller, still took about 20 minutes. She really took her time hand writing, slowly, the addresses on each receipt. And to top it off, I, the customer, was made to feel like I shouldn't have even been there. What nerve I must have! And what people skills these workers seriously need! I've got a lot to look forward to if I have to continue delivering APOs. read more

I was made to stay twice in a line on grounds of 1) address being printed on a paper of form 2) previously inspected box not sealed with scotch tape. Obviously they could clearly state the requirements initially without making me stay in the line multiple times. I was out of time and had to leave without being able to send the package (hence one star rating), although made an official complaint with USPS.com email on site and asking other community members to do not hesitate to report, this is the best way to get better post service for our town. They get the job done, but the customer service is merely okay. Effective, but not quick. I haven't seen them idly chatting while people are waiting or anything, though - just plodding through the steps. If what you want to do doesn't require a person, it's a pretty nice post office. The kiosk in the lobby is available at all hours (have a debit or credit card!) to sell you stamps and to let you ship packages. The drive-up mail boxes outside are nicely accessible and easy to use. And there's plenty of parking. I've never seen the lot even half-full. (And if I ever see it full, I'm leaving, because the line will take literally an hour or more in that case....) read more

Stupid establishment, terrible hours but that's not as much of a problem for me as I just drop off my packages that go out regularly, but then randomly sometimes they will lock the drop off bin so you can't even drop off your packages after hours... plus they have four places to drop off mail outside and two inside, but only one spot inside to drop packages... but randomly it's locked and then you have zero... absolutely terrible read more

This location can be very busy and I have found they work hard to get you taken care of quickly and efficiently. I'm in transition after selling my home and waiting for a new dwelling and they helped me set up a general delivery service to meet my needs. Working with the general public can be very challenging and they handle it well in my opinion! read more

I give 2 stars because it's close to home and there is one nice person there (in my experience at least) Every time I go the people are always grumpy and kind of rude. And when I call to ask a simple question I get a very frustrated sounding employee who clearly doesn't want to help me and just wants to hang up the phone. One good thing I will say I have had a few packages delivered early. But when they are late and I call to check its a whole other battle. read more

Since moving back to Wilsonville, I was sadly disappointed to see the service went downhill - this used to be the best post office and it no longer holds that title for me. (I lived here from 2000 to 2004 and moved back in 2008.) This place is truly hit-or-miss. I've gone when it's busy, and as Danielle K. pointed out in her review, there was some chit-chatting going on when they should've been more concerned about the line. There is a gentleman (older, with a mustache) who works there and he's always good. I also don't like the fact the stamp machine is no longer in the lobby; I guess the new kiosk replaced it. I forgot my debit card so I couldn't purchase stamps from the self-serve kiosk and the post office was already closed. Oh well... Love the drive-up boxes; I've been to other post offices where it's a maze to drive through but Wilsonville's drive-up boxes are situated quite nicely off the road so you can drive in, drop-off, and drive out. read more

Very disappointed with their service. I took a day off to get daughters passport and we were before an appointment. When I made appointment I was never told that we have to fill out the form. I started fill out for our 2 kids and it surely took time. Then all they said was have another appointment and come back the other day. In the 57 years I've lived , I've never witnessed such a poorly managed business. Their carriers couldn't find water at a lake out you put them in the boat. Sorry to use the word but they are just stupid beyond belief as well as rude. They misplace, loose or miss-deliver my mail and all my neighbors mail on a daily basis . As God as my witness I tried everything for the first few years. I've just given up. A full 50% of my packages this Christmas went to my neighbors or we're left at the wrong house. Worse service ever! I have received my neighbor's mail and she has received mine over and over again and have complained and it is still happening! Now for over a year! Then an important document and check was sent to me to the correct name and address to a locked box and they returned it as "undeliverable"?!!! The firm who received it back said everything was correct and couldn't understand it either. Then when I complained to the Wilsonville Post Office, supposedly the manager - all she could say was right, right . . . No apology whatsoever! United States Post Offices are governed by the federal government, do I really need to go that far to complain to get even minimal adequate service? read more

200 Save-the-date post cards for our wedding were sent out. On one side was the stamps I placed, the delivery addresses, the return address, etc. On the other side was an engagement picture; the side that was meant to be put on peoples' fridges and bulletin boards. Well, the post office decided to put their giant stamp cancellation ink on the side with the engagement photo. Our faces are blurred out and covered on most of our save the dates. I called and asked the manager what the heck happened. He just asked "Are you sure that we marked the side without the addresses? Are you sure it was on the side without the return address? Not the side you put a stamp on?" Yes, I'm sure. He just said "Oh, well someone messed up then I guess". Well, what a joke. We keep getting picture messages from different guests rolling in with our blurred out faces. If it wasn't such a waste of money, it would probably be funny. But I have a hard time laughing, because the post office turned our save-the-dates into just that: a waste of money. Thanks, USPS. read more

I was surprised to see the negative reviews. I moved to Wilsonville recently from Portland. I have dealt with big-city post offices my whole life and I was always convinced that post offices were destined to have the worst customer service possible. Every time I have been to the Wilsonville Post Office, I have been pleasantly surprised by the descent customer service. It's sad the mediocrity is a pleasant surprise but none the less, I am always happy to go to the Post Office and glad I'm not going to one in Portland. read more
