This is a beautiful post office. There was no line and I had the pleasure of working with a clerk name Anisha. She was more than helpful because I was sending out passports for me and my family. The process took long and it was pretty intricate, but she was patient calm kind and also helped other customers while I was still doing some preparation. She made me feel comfortable attended to and confident that things are gonna be fine with mailing off our passports. This is my new favorite PO location now thanks to her. This location is consistently understaffed and understocked. I've been here on multiple occasions, and they regularly don't have basic mailing supplies available. Priority Mail envelopes are often completely out of stock, along with other standard envelopes. They'll have some assorted boxes and Ground Advantage envelopes, but somehow not the basic supplies you would expect to be able to walk into a U.S. Post Office and purchase. I've personally watched customers have to leave because the branch doesn't have what they need, a system is down, tracking isn't available, or there's some other issue preventing them from completing a basic transaction. This is a large post office serving Culver City, and it's honestly a shame that it's so consistently unprepared and understaffed. Customers should be able to walk into their local USPS branch and reliably access basic USPS mailing supplies and services. This location needs better staffing, inventory management, and overall reliability. read more

Had to go here after going to four Post Office for Postcard stamps (.65 cents). The employee at this location (around 2 in the afternoon) was Super friendly and it appeared the patrons knew him. I got 100 of them & I plan to use them. read more

Im sure the day has to come when robots take over everyone's jobs and this will be a good start because they had a long line of people, about 7 or 8 of us and 1 person working the counter. You cannot find a worse post office. Culver City has higher taxes than LA county and somehow no ability to have a functioning post office that doesn't randomly close for hours in the middle of day because 1 person seemingly works there at any given time. Also they will have your car towed -- somehow they find time for that but not desk service. read more

There's a backstory filled with neighborhood support at this location -- an interesting historical battle between Neighbors who love the easy, laidback neighborhood location vs. the Postal Service. When the Postal Service tried to close this branch down some years ago, the neighborhood stood up for the branch and got the Mural (on west wall inside the branch) designated as historical !! So, it blocked the Postal Service from closing the branch. In response, the postal service reduced the staff and took out as many of the services as they could AND never installed a kiosk. They were trying to make it difficult to use the branch ...so, they could shut down all the Culver City branches and just rely on the one near Fox Hills mall. The neighbors have been standing firm by using the post office as much as they can. It's really obvious at holiday times when the neighbors brave the intensely long lines to show loyalty. They talk with each other in line, enjoying community. They chat and smile with the staff who regularly remember the names or situations of the customers who frequent the branch. Arrived during normal business hours on a non holiday Thursday only to find absolutely no one working there. A sign stating they'd return at 1220p but who know if that was from same day or just a permanent fixture. And there is no self help kiosk so impossible to get assistance to mail anything that needed human assistance. SMH read more

This is the slowest and most understaffed post office I've ever been to. I read a comment from a previous reviewer that Culver City has fought to keep this branch open while the USPS has tried to shut it down. I say SHUT IT DOWN! Nobody has time to stand in line for 30 min to chat as the previous reviewer seemed to indicate. Shut it down so people don't accidentally get duped into walking in and standing idly by. Go to the Palms post office instead, which is light years better in comparison. read more

I always forget about this place. I always go to the one on Motor because they are open on Saturdays. I also swore I wrote a review for this place once like a decade ago. Maybe not. Anyway, I came here to drop off some envelopes and a package, all pre paid, but their pkg drop box is only a slit about 2 or 3 inches tall. It's not a large moving bin w/ a handle thing like at the Motor Post Office, so not sure I will be coming here again. I've only been here like twice maybe. The location is good though. Apparently nobody works here? Or they don't know how to answer phones? I have called this location 10+ times today (during business hours which I now know by heart since I've heard the recording so many times) and it rings continuously before going to a dial tone. Called at two and the recording says they're closed but continues to say they are open Monday through Friday from 9-5. Closed for lunch? May want to edit your recording to let customers know. I've been sick so I don't want to leave the house, I've been calling to inquire about a failed delivery and apparently that's impossible to do since nobody answers the phone. Epic fail on their part. It's incredibly disheartening to have to write this as I've been loyal to usps since their location on Jefferson.... However, I am making the definite move to FedEx. Despite their prices being higher, it is very evident that upper management at usps does not care about their customer experience or their employees. It does not make any sense how I have to wait over 20 minutes to be assisted. Even during my last visit, the clerk had to inform the guests that the wait was going to be longer as she had to pause for a break. Which I can assume due to the overwhelming demand and consistent line, that the break was needed! Supervisors, managers, and what I learned upon research, "post-masters" are choosing not to replace the clerk during their breaks. Most importantly, there should have not been only one person at the front alone in the first place! Do better! I will no longer be returning here. For the sake of loyal customers who choose to support usps than privately owned delivery services and for your own employees, you have got to make a change because your current operation, is NOT working! read more

A postal worker threatened our 15 yr old tiny terrier Travis with mace after I told him that he's friendly. I was walking out to get him and he still held the mace canister as if he was going to spray our dog. I told him to leave and he said he was going to stop our mail delivery. Granted, I got heated and probably should've been calmer but when you threaten my dog who has a heart problem and a trachea problem with mace, it's hard not to get upset. Travis would've probably died if he got dosed with mace. The postal carrier's name was Jose. As he walked across the street he said he was going to report us and again threatened to stop our mail delivery. Travis has been here for ten years and no one has ever had a problem with him until today. Beware of your pets around the Culver City postal workers. read more

I love this place to go drop off mail or send packages. Parking is easy. Yea they only have one or two people helping a line but the people working don't make the rules. It's a perfect place to go to practice patients. If you are inpatient, this is going to be a great place to master yourself. The post offices don't get much funding I mean look how outdated all of them are. Postal service use to be a great job to work for! I pray these people are getting good salary still and if that's where all the funding goes then i do not mind a run down business. I love our government postal service people! I've never had something gone missing. The fact that I know my mail is safe is something I don't give enough credit to. Great local Post Office location. I usually use the one on Motor Ave nearby, bit I like to support local. There's a really cool mural inside and original 1940 architecture. This location has weird hours, so I suggest stopping in earlier than later in the day. I stopped by last Saturday and the door was unlocked, but no one to help at the windows. FYI: The motor location is open later, so if you are out-and about after 4pm, I suggest the Motor Ave Post Office. read more

I will give a zero if I could. this post office is totally unprofessional. they claimed to have delivered an important package to the designated address, with "my" signature. the only trouble is, when they sent me the delivery confirmation, I wasn't even home. so who signed it for me? when I asked the clerk there, they just claim that the mailman signed it and it's a COVID policy. oh nice! that's a cool way to make this a he says she says situation so I pay tax to support post office who claimed to have "signed" my package for me ??? read more

The customer service at most US post offices are abysmal, but this one takes the cake. The wait time at most US post offices has been horrible for many years, but since Louis DeJoy took the helm it has made me stop using USPS. I'd rather pay a little more at UPS store and not have to wait in line for 30 + minutes. The last 5 times I used this office there was only one person helping people. This is a perfect example why the government shouldn't be running any business. Higher more people Louis DeJoy. Unbelievably bad service. I've tried twice to go to by stamps. The first time, during the middle of their open hours, there was no one there behind the desk. I heard someone in the back who ignored me when I called out asking for help. I waited 10 minutes, occasionally calling out and no one came. A few other customers came in and also left. I returned today for the stamps I was unable to get last time and got in a line. After waiting for a while, and after more people got in line behind me, the person behind the counter announced he was going on break and would not serve anyone else. From now on I will go to UPS. read more

This is the worst post office. They are not open the hours they say they are, no mail pickup on Saturday's mornings even if their notice specifically say pickup hours are sat till 11:30. You can come week after week, but the clerks will tell you to come back for the manager week after week. No one picks up the phone. It's a nightmare read more

Holy smokes, this is a terrible USPS. The place looks like a dump, but that goes with most USPS locations. The inside is barren, and I had to search high and low for a bubble mailer. The staff is probably the worst thing about the entire place. They are rude, impatient, and really snappy. Be prepared to hear lots of aggravated people, both staff and customer. When I go, there is only 1 or maybe 2 staff members working so the wait is really long. The customers are terrible as well. People are pushing and cutting in front of you rudely. And then most customers are really rude to the staff and soon everyone is just yelling at each other. The ONLY good thing is the tiny parking lot behind the building. read more

I spent $158.00 for next day delivery--which is supposed to be guaranteed, is still sitting at the facility a day AFTER it's expected delivery time. There's no tracking on the packages that show it ever moved. If I would have known about their poor customer service reviews earlier, I would never let them touch my package. I have been coming to this post office for about 10 months now. I am a caregiver and my patient lives a couple house down. There's always a caucasian male and African-American female, very nice, fast, and professional. I've never had a problem here until today with I'm guessing a new employee Hispanic young lady. I was asking her for a price on a package, she ask me for the address and as I was looking for it to give to her she began to be inpatient,Giving me attitude very rude and disrespectful and tell her co worker next to her she leaving and never came back for at least the next 10mins while I was in there. Leaving her male co worker to deal with a long line by himself. I only come here because of my patient. I don't even live in the city. read more
