The main problem with his post office is the parking lot. It's so small that people lining up to drop something in the mailbox cause a traffic jam so people that need to walk in cant enter and have to wait.

Inconsistency is apparently key for this USPS location. I work at a local business within the post office's area and we have a ton of orders that need to go out every day. On multiple occasions I've had to call the post office to ask why our REGULARLY SCHEDULED postman hasn't shown up to retrieve our outgoing orders. Usually, they don't have an answer for me as to why their employees don't follow their routes correctly or they just tell me they don't have time to send anyone out to us. I understand the busy holiday season, but this has happened multiple times during the 7 months that I've worked here. I've also noticed that it seems like none of their employees have any sort of phone training, because they're all pretty rude and there have been times that I've called, told them what was happening and just got an, "Okay?" And nothing else from them. Super awkward. At one point, our regular mail man didn't show up for days, and when I called to inquire they told me that he had been transferred to another location and hadn't been replaced yet. WHAT?? The fact that they didn't notify us of the change or at least let us know that NO ONE would be picking up our mail for the foreseeable future was beyond me. Monday we had a mountain of orders to go out from the black friday shopping weekend (photo included), and they were not picked up. I called, and was informed that our mail man was on vacation and that no one would be by. Again, our business relies on these orders and our customers are so angry when their packages are delayed, and I hate that it is out of my hands. Look at how many packages there are, and turn those into that many upset customers now that their supplies are delayed. Sunnyside PO needs to learn how to schedule and staff their location properly, because their negligence affects our business and I'm sure many others in the area.

This is a true gem among Post Offices. I frequent this location very often and am never met with long lines -- I think the longest I've ever waited was maybe 5 minutes. I know what I'm going to experience every time I visit: great service with a smile. FYI - it's cheaper to send things through the USPS than any of the other competitors.

Line isn't that long compared to other post offices and the workers are nice. It's a older, smaller office with no self servicing.

I've always enjoyed walking there and building great relationships with the staff and clerks. Our former clerk, John, was amazing, absolutely superb, and he is greatly missed. Unfortunately, since John retired, my experiences with the new clerk have been increasingly negative. I have tried to be extremely patient and understanding, but today's experience was completely unacceptable. I frequently send packages to my Marine son and his wife, who are stationed in Okinawa. Every time I bring in one of these packages, the clerk (James) openly complains about having to process it. He regularly states, loudly and in front of me, how much he hates dealing with these packages and how frustrating the system is. He has also repeatedly tried to direct me to the main post office, which would require me to drive approximately 25 minutes out of my way. Today, I arrived about 30 minutes before the post office opened and waited. The clerk arrived approximately five minutes late. When he saw me, he rolled his eyes and commented, "Oh, not another international package." After spending approximately 15-20 minutes struggling with the system, he stated that he couldn't process the package. I calmly pointed out that this happens nearly every time I come in and suggested that perhaps he could contact the main office and ask for additional training or assistance with the system. At that point, he became enraged. He began yelling and shouting at me and then took the package intended for my Marine son and threw it down on the table. I understand that he may have been frustrated with the system, but that is absolutely no way to treat a customer. Nor is it appropriate to handle a customer's package that way. Processing mail is part of the job, and after approximately a year and a half in this position, it seems reasonable to seek assistance or additional training if the system continues to be a problem. I also know that I cannot be the only person in our community mailing international or APO/military packages. He continued yelling at me as I left the post office crying. I cannot believe that a USPS clerk would treat a customer this way or show such disrespect toward a customer's mail, particularly a package being sent to a Marine stationed overseas. What makes this especially disappointing is that I genuinely love our small neighborhood post office, and I am grateful that we still have one in our community. I know that smaller post offices are increasingly at risk of being consolidated or phased out, which is one of the reasons I have intentionally refrained from making complaints since John retired. I want to support our local post office and see it remain part of our neighborhood. However, today's behavior crossed a line. After trying to be patient for a very long time, I can no longer overlook repeated rudeness, hostility toward customers, unwillingness to properly handle routine postal services, and, most importantly, today's yelling and disrespectful handling of my son's package. Our community deserves a postmaster who cares about the people he serves and takes pride in the responsibility that comes with the position. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with the current postmaster. Today's incident was an absolute disappointment. Update: Later this afternoon, I spoke in person with the postmaster of Westminster, and he was very kind, supportive, and helpful. Apparently, and unfortunately, my experience is not an outlier. I support the USPS and their services. The majority are lovely, and not like James.

The procedure is awful. First of all, there is absolutely no parking. There is an employee-only lot which is almost always full, even if you want to brave the "you will be towed" warnings. Street parking on Downing is rarely available and there is no parking on 16th Avenue. I often end up parking at the retail Post Office on Marion Street and then walk the two blocks to this location. In the past you then came to a locked door, rang a one-way intercom, gave your name (wondering if anyone had heard you), waited forever, and maybe then someone would appear with your package. Things are now much worse because the retail Post Office on Marion Street has been closed for months due to problems with that building. All of the people who have P.O. boxes at Marion Street must now come to this USPS Annex building to collect their mail. No retail services are offered here so the entire neighborhood has to go to the Post Offices at the Civic Center, downtown, or in North Cherry Creek for any other postal needs. The one concession made by the Postal Service is that regular window hours are now being kept. There is only one clerk on duty and there is always a line. Most of the P.O. box mail appears to have only been sorted into groups of boxes, so the clerk has to go through tray after tray looking for the mail for a specific box. This can take 10-15 minutes per person. If someone with a package delivery issue shows up, that can take 20-30 minutes or longer. There's a very small lobby in front of the service window that now has four broken-down chairs and room for three or four people to stand. I've waited as long as 40 minutes to pick up the mail from my box in this cramped area. The whole situation is absolutely miserable for both the people waiting and for the poor clerk. USPS management does not care. Do they even understand what a customer is?

The package at issue was scanned "Delivered, Parcel Locker" at 5:07 PM on August 6. It was not in a parcel locker. It was not in my mailbox. It was not accessible to me. My building uses LuxerOne, which sends an electronic notification when a package is actually placed in a locker. USPS successfully delivered another package to me earlier that same day at 12:25 PM, and--miraculously--the LuxerOne system worked exactly as intended and notified me. The 5:07 PM package generated nothing. And this was not an isolated incident. This was the FOURTH package USPS has marked "delivered" that I did not receive. Naturally, I submitted an inquiry. Enter the female supervisor who identified herself as "Le Le." If Le Le is her actual legal or professional name, fine. If it is a nickname, I'm genuinely curious when USPS decided that supervisors handling formal complaints about missing federal mail should introduce themselves like contestants on a VH1 reality show. Customers should be given the actual name of the employee handling an official complaint. But the nickname quickly became the least concerning part of the conversation. Le Le informed me that she had a photograph of my package and triumphantly announced that it wasn't my package at all because it belonged to "C Holmes." Except: Her name is "C Holcomb. And C Holcomb is the SENDER. I am the RECIPIENT. My name is printed prominently on the shipping label above my Denver address. So somehow the person supervising an investigation into missing mail apparently concluded that the person listed in the return-address section was the intended recipient. This is not advanced logistics. This is literally understanding which direction a package is traveling. Apparently we needed to bring in Dora the Explorer: "Can you find the recipient?" When I attempted to explain the difference between a sender and a receiver, Le Le repeatedly interrupted me. She then delivered what may be the most astonishing statement I have ever heard from someone entrusted with the United States mail: "You won't be getting the package anyway because you have a bad attitude." Excuse me? Since when is mail delivery contingent upon whether a postal supervisor approves of the recipient's personality? I must have missed the new USPS policy: Postage paid. Address correct. Delivery subject to Le Le's vibes. She also told me: "You need to come up here so I can show you that it's not your package." I already possess a photograph of the actual box. The tracking number on the box matches the tracking number under investigation. The shipping label has my name on it. The sender's name is in the sender section. I am not sure what live demonstration at the post office was supposed to overcome those inconvenient facts. Perhaps she planned to point at the label very confidently until reality changed. She also announced: "I won't be here tomorrow, so you need to speak with someone else." That was one of the few helpful suggestions she made. Because after being interrupted, spoken to disrespectfully, told I supposedly would not receive my own package because of my "bad attitude," and subjected to an argument over the apparently mysterious concept of a return address, I told her plainly that I would be filing a complaint and I did not want to speak with her again. That should have ended the interaction. Instead, she called me FOUR MORE TIMES. Four. After I explicitly told her to stop contacting me. I ultimately had to tell a USPS supervisor to stop harassing me and stop calling my phone. Imagine filing a complaint because your package disappeared and somehow ending up needing to tell the supervisor investigating the disappearance to stop repeatedly calling you. At this point, I have retained the voicemail, screenshots, tracking information, photographs of the shipping label, LuxerOne records, and my phone records. And unlike this investigation, my documentation actually shows who the sender and recipient are. To be clear, this is bigger than one rude employee. Four packages have now been marked delivered by USPS and have not reached me. The August 6 package was the fourth. That is a pattern. I have therefore filed/escalated this matter with the USPS Office of Inspector General, including the circumstances surrounding the missing packages and the supervisor's conduct. If the OIG does not resolve the matter of these four packages that USPS claims were delivered but that I did not receive, I will be contacting my state representatives and other appropriate elected officials and providing them with the documentation as well. Because after four disappearing packages, questionable delivery scans, a supervisor who apparently cannot distinguish a sender from a recipient, a threat that I would not receive my package because of my "attitude," and four unwanted phone calls after telli
