I'm very surprised at the negative reviews. This is my main post office, I go here all the time, and have had nothing but friendly and efficient service. Employees have a good sense of humor and know their stuff. Lines move quickly. Anything I mail out goes standard, slowest, cheapest rate, yet packages and regular mail arrive much more quickly than expected. In fact, one clerk noticed the doodles on my holiday packages, and carefully placed the postage stickers on them so they doodles wouldn't get covered up. She happened to be black, and I'm wondering if it's the same person people are complaining about- if so, I'm baffled. Everytime I come here their drop off policy changes. It's a post office the system should be consistent. I just want to drop off a package quickly and there's always a long line. They used to have a bin a long time ago then got rid of it. Several people previously telling me why wait if I can just leave it at an open window but they always keep it locked. So I started going straight to the front asking to just drop off at the window. Then when I try to leave it at an open window today 8/17 at 2:30PM an asian lady yelling at me I must wait on the long line. Need a better drop off policy or we need a drop off bin at this location ASAP. Ridiculous to wait on a 30 minute line when I just need to drop off two things in under 20 seconds. read more

This is my go to post office if I need to send things out. There are never any lines, and the staff, although, not the friendliest, isn't rude. I'm not trying to best friends them so it's not an issue for me. Parking is pretty decent around the area as well. I've never had any issues. I'm in and out, usually in about 10mins. Although, the weekend's weight time is significantly longer. Not sure who Mei is, so I can't speak on that. read more

Service here is the worst I've experienced this Indian woman gave me a attitude and told me to get all types of stuff to prove my identification and made me go home 3 times which wasted a lot of time of mine and I had a lot of different stuff to do. Every time I go there it always works with the other workers but when she's helping me, let's put aside the attitude but she's slow too, like I understand that maybe your in a bad mood but don't give me the attitude you got at home. Generally my experiences here have been fine with the exception of the multiple dealings with an older female clerk of south Asian descent, who gives an attitude over minutiae every time, lecturing about some minor BS package detail that did not matter, another time giving me an attitude because I walked up too quickly after another customer,"I did not ring the bell yet, why did you move?!" I honestly do NOT care about your problem, leave the attitude at home. If you don't like your job QUIT and go somewhere else where you don't have to deal with people. Just got the absolute worst customer service from Mei, the African American window clerk while trying to mail some packages out. So I got the wrong envelopes for the type of mail I sending out and she looked at me, rolled her eyes and proceeded to raise her voice at me. Why?! I really don't understand. I swear someone probably thought I spit at her face or something. It was embarrassing and I honestly never had any issues at usps before this chick came along. This happened on Thursday, 11/2 around 3pm. Reading from the other reviews, I noticed I'm not the only one who had issues with Mei. She is not qualified to work in a field where you have to deal with customers. If you work for usps, please bring this issue across the higher ups. I'm actually going to contact this branch and ask for her supervisor and file a complaint against her after I type this up. I will never tolerate being disrespected like that ever again. read more

The absolute worse post office ever! So much trouble with the mail and when I send something to someone else, it takes forever for them to receive it. When our regular mail person is off, the mail gets thrown around and goes into other people's mailboxes. My very first 1 star review, and it had to come down like this. I ordered something from eBay but received an error saying it was undeliverable as addressed. Like a normal human being, I panicked, Googled what that could've meant, and found out that I could have been delayed in receiving my package. So I called the post office to resolve my issue. Now, I usually never speak in a negative undertone and try to maintain a level of calmness and clarity in my mannerism of speech. However, the attendant that picked up the phone was so excruciatingly rude and so ignorant of what I was saying, that even I couldn't maintain my composure. I told her what was wrong, and she kept asking me nonsensical question like, "what does it say on the package"? What? I didn't even receive the package and you're going to ask me a question that can't be answered? Not only that, but she began to get frustrated at me, for failing to provide the information I wasn't able to. Next, she asks me to give her the tracking number, which I graciously did. She searched and realized she was wrong the whole time. Now, I don't know if she was trying to put me through to another office or was just putting me on hold, but I was on hold for 25 minutes. Understanding this is a government agency, you can't have too much expectations. With that said, this USPS Office deserves 5 stars in comparison to the USPS Office in Main St. Flushing. This is my to-go spot, since there's barely a line every time I entered the office, you will usually be in and out in less than 5 minutes, or 10 minutes if there's a line. I always want to get a confirmation receipt rather than just drop off the package, and the employees are always friendly and understanding, unlike the USPS elsewhere where the employee just want you to drop the package in the drop box without printing you a confirmation receipt. read more

In the last few weeks three packages have been "delivered" but have actually been lost. If they were stolen it's pretty nice that my packages from UPS which arrived on the same day were left behind. It couldn't possibly be a mistake by the people who leave mail for the wrong house regularly, could it? In case you're wondering, "investigations" were opened with the USPS which went absolutely nowhere. I also had a package which was not delivered but was being held by the post office. Tracking information stated that a notice was left. There was NO notice left. This is not the first time this has happened. I have received maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 notices since moving to the area in 2005. read more

i moved to flushing the beginning of 2014. before that I have NEVER lost a parcel, large envelope, package, or box of any kind. EVER! since receiving mail from this station in 6 months I had not one, but 2 packages go missing. one of those had signature confirmation, and the last update they had for tracking is that a notice was left and I wasn't home, which is a lie, I was home, right next to the door in my living room mind you. anyway, this package goes missing, with signature confirm, right out of their post office, just DISSAPEARS! now ive had a large envelope from amazon go missing and the seller would not refund and reship because when they call the post office, the item was scanned as delivered! This post office is known for misplacing mail. A letter I mailed on October 1st has not yet been delivered by this post office and today is October 9th. The letter was scanned by the Brooklyn Distribution Center to this post office on October 2nd and today is October 9th and letter has not been delivered yet to it's final destination. I wish I could give it no stars. This is by far the worst post office. My mail is constantly lost or missing. There are times that they just decide not to deliver mail - sometimes for serval days. They will leave 'sorry we missed you' cards when you are home, and when you go to pick it up they ask you multiple times if you are sure you did not already pick it up. Usually results in a lost package. Then if you reschedule a redelivery it will not be delivered. This has happened twice in the past week! It is deplorable. read more

Horrible, horrible experience at this post office. I was here yesterday 8/18/17 because I had to send out a package. There was no line, but because the teller (young black woman with green/blue fingernails that day) was on her iPhone, I decided to wait to be called before approaching her (out of politeness). She looked up at me, rolled her eyes, and exclaimed "come here, I ain't gonna hurt you! what are you scared of?" I brushed it off as comical and even gave her a smile, but then as the transaction progressed she just got ruder and ruder, mumbling under her breath about how I was afraid of her. When she finally handed me my receipt, I said "thank you" and she rolled her eyes at me again and grunted "mm." I ignored ALL of that, but as I was walking out, I heard her talking about me behind my back to her coworker, making fun of me for being scared of her--and that was the last straw. I walked back in and politely asked for her name, to which she replied "why do you wanna know?" I told her that I wanted to file a complaint against her because she was extremely rude and unprofessional, but she refused to give me her name. I don't understand why so many people who hold government positions are so bitter about their jobs. They have job security, pensions, and decent salaries. I get better customer service from high school students making minimum wage. It's really quite sad. read more

I visited at post office for pick up my parcel. I have a real name, but it was put name in Angela for English name. Because that parcel is i ordered something from Germany via eBay. So They sent me that product with my English name. But that post-officer said I cannot give you this parcel because I'm not sure you are real yourAngela Kim, Because so many people have a first name Kim. So you need to go on-line and change the pick up time again. Because I didn't have Social ID with Angela name. From first time when I met them, they look like having a anger because of fought with someone. Because from first time when I met them their's voice was not confortable. Their's voice was very high and can listen like having an annoyance so much. And also She and other officer who is met me first time didn't trying listen my words, and looked like a hurry and trying to finish the work fast, and really really so rude and their's behavior was racism although they also asian, but look like they discrimination about whose cannot speak English fluently. After got a way for the pick up, I was trying to confirm to that what I understood with follow she gave me a information. But they never tried to listen my words with rude attitude, and showed the behavior like a high strung while they were explaining to me. It looked like their's ears blocked. So I said please listen to my words I wanna confirm what I understood. But they just spoken only their's words and never trying listen my words. And they mocked while talking with me and gave me feeling to insult. If you have CCTV you can see that situation through that camera. So I said your job is service job for citizen so you will be able to meet many kind of customer, you need to trying listen people's word and attention to that what they are saying, ans also as I told you I cannot speak English fluently, but you just talk only your word, Did you take a training for the good communication skills with customer from your company? So I asked her what is your name spelling? but she didn't say her name's spelling and just told me that " You don't know the bell? Do you know the sound ZINGLE ZINGLE? that is bell!! My, name, is, E!! NA!! BELL!!, and I'm a supervisor of here!!!, OKAY?? DO YOU UNDERSTAND?? OKAY?? DO YOU UNDERSTAND? THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTAND!! THANK YOU!! OKAY??THANK YOU for YOUR UNDERSTAND!! Okay!! " Like this she spoken aggressively without her name's spelling, and repeat. It looks like mocking me. I really wanted to call the police. They look like ignorant and couldn't learn the courtesy from family. When I think other way they also got a discrimination from other so They just show the same behavior like a victimhood or inferiority complex. I think they need to take a psychological therapy. This letter also could be making a some mistakes for your understand because my English is not perfect and not fluently. I have no idea what the previous posters are talking about. This is a great post office with excellent service. I've mailed Christmas cards, going to Long Island, and they arrived the next day. The post office is clean and all of the employees, that I've ever dealt with, were very nice; I've never had a problem with anyone's English skills there either.
